Well, our first full day anyway. Oh - DH and I have decided not to add on yet another day on to the front end of our trip. The extra day on the back end is looking to be a sure thing for me though!
So now our official dates are the 1st through the 10th...
Our first night we're staying at the AKL and then the morning of the 2nd I'd like to check out the AKL a bit and then cruise on over to the Poly to check in and dump off our stuff and head to Epcot for the day.
First order of business, since we walk through there first, will to be to check out our Legacy tile - I have to remember at some point to check out our brick on the walkway near the Contemporary while we're down there too. We always forget to do that. Wish we could buy another one now that our 2 has become 3! I've been thinking of getting DS his own legacy tile with his picture on it this trip. How cool would it be to someday show his own kids?
Ok so where was I? Oh yeah...Legacy Tile first thing. At this point I find myself wondering whether we should immediately go to Soarin and get fastpasses for later. And hey, if we can ride that first, it would make my day! But you guys all know that! So let's say that Soarin is #2 on our list of things to do. That may work out well, yet it goes against my "all left turns" rule for this trip. Kind of like George's bizarro world...everything opposite than usual.
BUT, I'm thinking if we start at Soarin' and THEN head left around future world, we can be back to the Living Seas in plenty of time for our 1:50 lunch PS at Coral Reef. Did I mention that it's now a CP package meal? Looking forward to catching that!
Ok, so after Soarin, I'm thinking we go and check out the little Kidcot station there and then go around Innoventions West and head to Test Track!
I love this little banana guy and I hardly ever use him! Wonder why?
But anywho...we've never been on Test Track. Dumb luck has it that it's been closed each time we've been there. Refurbishments or broken down. Karma? I dunno, but I ain't leaving till we have been on it at least once! DS can hardly stand the wait to go on TT...and bless his little heart, it's about killing him to wait out the next couple of weeks till we go. He's been so very sick all week - did I mention he's got an Upper Resp. Infection? But the only thing that's made him feel better is Disney...the movie Cars and last year's vacation planning video and of course, the Travel Channel specials! So after 4 straight days of minimum 101.7 and maximum 104 fevers, possible delirium, luke warm baths to lower fevers at all hours of the night, he's on the mend and yesterday afternoon managed the energy to help me pack a bit for our trip - bathing suits, beach towels, etc...
Again I'm getting away from my mission here...planning out Day 1. So after Test Track, we'll check out their Kidcot station and then we'll hit Mission Space. Hopefully DS can ride...I think he's just at the 44" mark so provided he stands up nice and straight, he should be able to get on with me. And the nice thing is we can explore that area for awhile...email postcards, hit the Space Base, etc...and didn't there used to be a character greeting around here somewhere?
Then off we go to Universe of Energy. Can you believe that all these rides/attractions so far we haven't been on yet?
Well, at least DS hasn't...we didn't make any of these last time. The more I think about it, it'll be a whole new adventure for him and this time I can really appreciate the newness and wonder in him and not the bitter antics of Cruella and Horace! Ding Dong the witch is dead!
I thought that this moment called for another dancing banana, don't you agree? Speaking of Cruella, she called to tell me about the wonderful weather in NJ today...I had to burst her bubble and tell her it was 80 already so far today! She wasn't impressed. Then we spoke a bit about our upcoming trip. Told her I've been watching the weather down in FL and it's looking warm (high 70s/low 80's) in the 15 day forecast. Thankfully, she was able to confirm that for me because....drum roll please....tap tappity tap tap tap tappity tap tappity tap...
So-And-So is there right now and said it's hot. So there you have it Disney fans...the official forecast from So-And-So. It's got to be true if So-And-So says so! I asked if So-And-So was going to the Lucy store when they hit MGM this year and couldn't keep from giggling...went right over Cruella's head.
Her tone changed though to a very, unfortunately, recognizable one and then she gave me a dig about not being able to afford to fly down and that we had to drive. No, I said, that's not it at all...I can buy more stuff that way and not worry about how I'll be bringing it all back. Surely, she can appreciate that! I was going to go one step further and say that the gas it would take to drive down there would still be about $150 less than what she spent to rent a car to go to WALMART and buy coffee, but...hey, it's a beautiful day today - why spoil it?
I do plan on calling her again at some point this weekend to remind her and my DH's brother that they forgot his birthday last Tuesday....Hello? Official Travel Agent for your guilt trip calling!?!? NO ONE in his family remembered his birthday. The only 2 people who did, outside of myself and DS, were my mother (who calls and sings to him every year for the last 13 years - love you mommy!) and our best friend, who incidentally was diagnosed with cancer that morning and still remembered to call for Tony's birthday
....Ah...family....can't live with em...can't kill 'em.
Anywhooo...where were we? Ah yes, Universe of Energy. After that I'd like to spend some time in Innoventions. DS should enjoy it. Dontcha think??
So I don't know where we'll be, time-wise, by now, but if time allows, maybe we can check out the new Nemo ride and maybe even head to Honey I Shrunk the Audience prior to lunch. And at some point I want to do Turtle Talk again. LOVE IT...can't help myself. Finding Nemo has become one of my all time favorite movies since we saw it in the theater and I can recite just about the entire movie line by line and Turtle Talk amazed me last time. I was bummed he didn't call on me for a question...I was gonna ask about the whereabouts of Squirt's mother. What is it with Disney films and single parent households? Even Cinderella...as a kid it was probably that fact that drew me in - Cinderella didn't have a daddy either...Thanks Walt...for not making me feel like I was the only kid without a dad!
I keep meaning to write in to Dave Smith at the Insider and ask him if he knows anything about this....Think about it...can you list all of the Disney characters who only have one parent? Cinderella, Bambi, Nemo, Squirt, Andy from Toy Story...Ok, so maybe I'm the only one who thinks of these things? Guess you don't want to hear that the Father of the Bride movies make me bawl like a baby either, huh? It was on last night, that's why it's fresh in my head...
Shhhh....that's enough outta me.
So we have a 1:50 PS for Coral Reef and can hopefully get a table by the tank at that hour. DS should love it. I haven't told him about it...DH wasn't thrilled as he wasn't that impressed with it when we went there several years ago, but come on...we pay those outrageous prices for the environment, not the quality, right??? Open wallet, dump out contents at the entrance and shut up and smile, right?
So after lunch we'll either hit anything in Future World that we may have missed or possibly care to do twice??? TT??? Soarin????
We have the 5pm CP show to go to, so not a ton of time to mess around...maybe we can hit the San Angel Cantina for a couple of margarita's to go for the walk to the CP? Yummmmmm.... We have a 7:45 ADR for dinner at Nine Dragons....as of today anyway...I haven't called the good folks at Disney Dining in a few days...that's kind of late, but hopefully DS can make it till Illuminations. I've been wondering if I should switch to the Biergarten. I wouldn't mind even eating at Marrakesh...I ate there years and years ago it seems...don't know if my boys would like the food, but maybe the promise of belly dancers would change their minds??
After all, we can get mall-food-court-style-General Tso's chicken here in Greenville...let's shake it up a bit, I say. What do you guys think I should do???
So after dinner I'd like to catch Illuminations if the boys can hang with the big dogs and then head back to the Poly....Phew...sounds like a full day...Now I have to transfer these thoughts on to microscopic sized paper that I can commit to memory and then swallow to eliminate any evidence of planning my boys' days out!
More later Gators!!

They're the perfect primers for Jack & Coke's back at the hotel!!
) and I want him to enjoy it and see all the little things that I'd probably normally skip over. Yeah, I know...I'm nuts and probably not making any sense.
So now, we're leaving another day earlier...November 30th!!
