We went for my bitrthday last weekend and were only there there for three days. Last year, we were picked to be Grand Marshalls in the parade, so thought nothing new would happen. We had several magical moments. The best was that a CM recognized us from the day before and started talking to us. He called another CM over who was a Dream Maker. She asked us several trivia questions, that we got right, for the most part. Then she gave my friend and I "Honorary Princesses of the Day" stickers and said she would show us around Fantasyland. We linked arms with three CM's and skipped to Tea Cups, where we went in the exit to the cup loading area. The Dream Maker grabbed the microphone and announved that it was my birthday and made the entire (very long) line sing to me. We rode the ride and then proceeded to all the other rides and got to go in the exit to the front of each line. Peter Pan was at a 70 minute wait, so that rocked!! After Dumbo, our CM gave us the YOMD ears (not dream ears, but the ones that light up) and she had gone and gotten our names embroidered on the back. After riding everything and seeing Philharmagic, our Dream Maker gave us a certificate for 2 ice cream sundaes and a $25 voucher at the candy store. So Fun!!!!
Also during the weekend, they let us ride Rockin Roller Coaster three times in a row, a CM gave us a Fast Pass for Everest when we got off, I got to open the Lion King show, by teaching all of the sections the hand jive, plus got a couple of free desserts. On our last day we called the bellhop to come get our bags to hold them for the day until our pm flight. We were running late to make Early Opening of Animal Kingdom, and he asked if we wanted a ride to the front of AK instead of waiting on the bus...Yeah!! We made it just in time and he was so nice.!!
Oh and on my birthday, delivered to my room was a bouquet of birthday balloons and an autographed, personalized Mickey and Minnie 5x7 photo. Yay!!
I think if you look happy and really feel the magic and smile as much as possible, they will find you. Plus our Dream Maker told us that if people follow her or stalk her, she will not give them anything. She has to "find" the people she gives items to. The Dream fast passes and ears are definitely random, though. No way to tell where or when.
