Our little thread of BIG Resort changes*OLD THREAD link on last pg. to new thread!

Great to hear. Have a wonderful day!

I know you are concerned about your Nov trip and the Magic Bands but try to stop worrying. It will all work out. I didn't order mine until the last possible minute and they got to my house in plenty of time.

Thanks I know you are right

If there are so many Libras here, no wonder we're RCers!! :-) October 8 here. Last year was the closest we got to celebrating my birthday at Disney and that was a month early! And when I lived there, I didn't get my AP until Spring...

Hey!! Lets not forget about us Gemini's ::yes:: :goodvibes

4th grade stinks. Daniel has already missed a day. I had to keep him home because we had an episode at therapy last night in the waiting room, because of course two kids from his class had to be there. One is his arch nemesis from last year (who Daniel had kicked in the head :rolleyes2) and this other little beast who kept trying to get the other kid to fight Daniel. To make the situation even better, my mom had brought him because I was at work, and they had to wait over 2 hours which led to an epic meltdown. I just thought it was best to keep him home today. I didn't want the stress of last night to carry over into class today.

April needs to get here NOW! The kids and I are alone this weekend so Danimal and I are getting all our ducks in a row, so to speak. We are both super excited! :cheer2:

We had a very VERY good day here today. Walked around the neighborhood to a few grocery stores and the deli, came home for lunch, then played outside, and I treated the kiddos to pizza. Everyone has been very happy all day. Days like these are rare, so I am basking in the glory of peace.:upsidedow

If it makes you feel better, our first trip was a value/deluxe split. At the time, it was just Danimal and I and the value was fine for us. Our second trip I wanted to upgrade from value without spending deluxe $$ so we did CBR and we totally loved it. It's one of our favorite places we have stayed. However, with Lily and the stroller and all the crap you have to bring for two little ones, deluxe just works better for us. I also like having queen sized beds since Lily still sleeps with me, so CBR and values are out. Looks like I will just have to stay at the Poly FOREVER :rotfl:

I hope you didn't mean the Jets. :crazy2: :rotfl:

I hope you are feeling better. For the record, OTC does nothing for me ever.

When we go to World Showcase while staying on the monorail, I always take the bus to DHS and then boat to WS :rotfl: Does that sound lazy?
Daniel whines SO much about the walk from the front gates to WS (it really is a long walk, and very minimal shade), and I like riding the boats, so I don't mind that it takes us a while longer that way.

:lmao:

If it were just my son and I again I could do Pop again, but for all 3 of us I just can't.

Lily was up until after midnight last night, and I have no idea how as she woke up at 6:30 am yesterday. That's a LONG day for a 2 year old, and for me! I was exhausted.

OMG I cannot tell Daniel about that. He will hound me for a way to get him a MB before our trip :rotfl:

Yes, for just the 2 of us, the double beds were find. But I wouldn't want to have to share on with my 6'2 husband for more then 1 night. I'd prob end up hanging off the edge of the bed :rolleyes2

sjs314-My mom used to live near one of the Treasure coast turtle nesting areas. It is interesting.

Ticker alert! We made a change. (Surely you are not surprised. :rotfl2:)
Dh, very sweet, knows I'd like to spend more time at the Magic Kingdom...so, we are now at WL. This is our first time to try OFC. I am so excited! :dance3::yay:

Just had to share this our nights entertainment. DH and I are glued to the patio doors watching a SKUNK that has been living under the new shed!

Each day DH fills in skunks new holes to get under the shed:idea:, laid traps with nails in wood that skunk has pushed out of the way popcorn::, made intricate labrynth like ribbon structures to confuse skunk that have had no result :rolleyes1, and mixed cayenne pepper with soil to make skunks mouth burn.:rolleyes2 All this has had no effect.

The skunk has emerged and now DH is poised to confront it. My hero.

Oh wait hero is running back inside like a scared school girl! :scared1: I pretended skunk was heading around side of shed to meet him. Funny. :rotfl2:

Sadly this is as much fun as DH and I have had in a long time!:rotfl:

:lmao: This was way too funny. I can just see you scaring the bejeezus out of the poor man!

gwynne :faint: WL is a fantastic resort in fact I am still shocked a bit that Bob said he'd rather AKL than WL and try someplace new. Although I think perhaps staying at WL might be too painfull a memory for him and probably best not to stay there.

Ok....for the same price....would you rather????

BWI CL or CR TPV (non-CL)

GO!!! :goodvibes

Candace I kept thinking about that same thing when I was booked at BWI I decided BWI was better. Would you really be happy not having CL?

I'm not sure.....but we've got to stay non-CL at some point again, right??? Ugh! I didn't want this to become a "thing" the whole CL issue....we decided to do it at WL because it was our 10 year anniversary, so a special occasion.....but then did it at YC, because we really enjoyed the experience and after all it was DD9 birthday trip... I've really got nothing for the August trip.....well, we do arrive 2 weeks after DH birthday.....:scratchin

Can I break the cycle??? :rotfl:

I can see where it could be very hard to skip CL after staying on that level and becoming accustomed to the snacks and other perks that go along with it.

I never stepped foot into the CL lounge the year we were given the upgrade my DS's did and thy both always said YC was their favorite resort. I am sure the lounge had something to do with that :rotfl:

Even though Bob and I both were excited to stay at BWI CL we decided to be in our case sensible and save the money we would have spent.

We won't miss what we never tried.

I think in your case dollar for dollar BWI CL is a better value

Hi ladies, just at work but wanted to pop in to say I agree with Sheila, and I vote for BWI CL Candace. Knowing your families touring style I think you will get more relaxation and enjoyment there. Just my 2 cents.:goodvibes

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend:hippie:

I'm tending to agree with you both. :goodvibes

I feel pretty comfortable with the BWI CL choice. I've heard great things about it, and I know we will be in our favorite location. BWI is gorgeous, IMHO.

I guess with GF and CR I am just trying to get my monorail stay in, but neither of them blow my hair back, KWIM? Just can't get super excited about either one. For monorail resorts, POLY is my 1st choice for sure. That all being said, I think going back to the Epcot area and BWI is the right choice. :wizard:

Having fun with my magic bands and changing my FP+ reservations on the run. Very easy to use and no problems so far! :thumbsup2

We enjoyed the Bands too, and making changes with our FP+. It was easy, but prob because only 3 or 4 resorts were on the trial. I'm thinking it will be pretty hard to change FPs once it goes live, and everyone has access to it.
It will prob be like scoring a popular restaurant 180 dsys out with an ADR, for the attractions like TSMM, & Space Mtn.

We are all happy for you :goodvibes

Enjoy the anticipation.... Soon you will be there. :cool1:

Looks like you starting the F&W and I am closing it down:banana:

Thanks! I just honestly can't believe I'm going back again so soon! I was just there 5 months ago!!! (and 9 months prior to that one!) The last time I did twice in one calendar year was back in 2000, DH (then boyfriend) and I were able to squeak out two trips back then. :goodvibes

Then, we won't be back until August! :cool2:

Candace Something else to throw I to the mixture as far as GF and CR and the Monorail, no one knows yet if the construction at the Poly will have an effect on the monorail hours like when construction was happening at GF.

Sue That thought has occurred to me to, as of now it is fairly easy it seems to change plans for FP+ on the fly but I imagine it will change once all resorts go live

11 DAYS 'TIL DISNEY!!!!
