OMG Sheila, my Mom was taught by nuns too, and tells stories about it.She is left handed, and they did not like that at all, she took many hits on the knuckles with a ruler over that. I guess kids these days don't have it so bad!LOL!
What airline??
Dani: Frustrating!!! I feel for you. Hope it gets better for Daniel.![]()
jenny we had some real mean nuns

The kids nowadays have it so easy.

Can I just say I hate having to make mom decisions. Steven is still fighting his cold but no fever and seems to do ok with a decongestant in him. I know he could make it to school with meds in him but he is saying he doesn't want to go. He was up at 5:30am needing meds so I know he is tired (aren't we all). I feel like I should push him to go to school but know it can back fire quickly. If I knew he wasn't missing a half day in the 27th and a whole day on Oct 4th for our Disney trips I would feel better about him staying home.
I swear I am as indecisive with these kinds of decisions as I am with resorts, lol!!!

melissa 2 incidents with my boys come to mind once I made my eldest go to school and the nurse called to say he was coughing badly so she was sending him home, I felt awful but don't you know once home he cough disappeared.
My youngest once was complaining of a stomach ache and I thought he was faking, a knock at the door and it is my neighbor with my DS, he threw up down waiting for the bus.
Yeah, you definitely have more complicating factors. Hopefully Steven gets lots of rest today and is feeling better soon! Remember from Tangled "Mother knows best!!!".
So, I also would like to express my concern for 4th grade.....it's not DD...she is one of those bubbly kids who gets along with everyone and has a bunch of friends, always teachers pet...blah, blah, blah. I love her teacher (know her personally), so that's not the issue....
My issue is the TECHNOLOGY!!!I am just overwhelmed right now with thinking about how I am going to monitor DD's progress this year. 90% of her homework assignments during the week are on-line or using apps on her Ipod Touch. I normally have rule that she can't use her Ipod Touch, Wii, or DS during the school week - well, that's out the window, because she cant complete her homework assignment without going into the apps. I knew this was coming...our school has every peice of technology out there - every kid in class has an iPad at there desk, they have the whiteboards, etc...but, she has always brough home her PAPER homework, and I could check it, etc...
Not this app stuff...I see her on there and I'm like "I hope you're doing your homework!" and she shows me what she is doing, and she is doing her homework. I want to see it, and she's like I already submitted it to my teacher. It's going to drive me nuts!!!![]()
Candace I can not believe the technology they are using in schools now, not sure if it is good or not. Go into a store and the cashier tenders an incorrect amount into the register and 99% are clueless what change to give back. It is sad really that the younger generation is allowed to rely so much on technology.

I was helping a friend Book their first Disney vacation and plan it. I sent them links and wrote paragraphs upon paragraphs of info, she pm's me back saying oh we will just stay value with free qs dining plan cuz other stuff is a waste of money. Fine. Cool. Whatever u want its ur money i was ok with everything. Thy leave Saturday. Yesterday she pm's me askin about MNSSHP and BOG. She wants ressies for like 5 character meals all of which have NO openings. Plus BBB and on and on. I feel bad but I told them they needed to book that stuff months ago!
