I agree with with everything you said Jeanette. He has already been through a triple bypass 25 years ago, that was his 2nd or 3rd heart attack. I agree it is time for tough love. DH finally sees that too I think, the poor guy I feel for him.

It's good that your DH is coming around to realize this himself. Hang in there!

Kim it's so simple that it's silly. It's just chicken breast, salsa, frozen corn, and black beans in the slow cooker. Leave it on for about 4 hours then shred the chicken and let it cook another 45 minutes. It's so simple but really tasty and healthy. I put it on tortilla chips and melt cheese over it to make nachos for Danimal and he loves it which is impressive because he is so picky.

Dani, this sounds delish and sooo easy!

BTW.....funny story....today I'm taking to DD9 about resorts etc....she says that if we ever go back to the YC, she wants the room like "the nice lady with all of those kids"....she then proceeded to tell me though, that Disney probably only gives those rooms to families who need the space, so I should "have some more babies and get a HUGE Disney room"

Hey Ladies, DH went to visit FIL in iCU today. He is supposed to be resting after having the stent in yesterday, but instead is fighting with the nurses, yelling at family, and being very miserable. DH ended up staying not very long with him as it was just too difficult, he kept saying as soon as he gets his clothes he is "out of there".

DH wants to take the kids there after their first day of school tomorrow but I am not sure I want that.

Anyway, on a better note we are hoping to see the AP rates tomorrow maybe? hopefully.

I'm so sorry. I don't blame you for being concerned about taking the kids to see him. If you're lucky he'll behave because the kids are there. I'm sure you know if he will continue that type of behavior in front of the kids.

I spent yesterday doing laundry to start packing since my usual pack day (the day before we leave) is going to be super busy. Thursday I'll have to work from 9:30 -3 (because I'll leave work a little early), get the minivan washed and vacuumed before meeting up with David for Joey's football game. Then we'll just eat dinner out, so I won't have to worry about cooking or clean up. Also I finished the t-shirts for MNSSHP. I'm thinking of taking the glow in the dark paint with us just in case I want to add a little more to the t-shirts.

When I finally went to bed early this morning (I'm not even going to lie and say last night), I stacked our luggage into the Leaning Tower of Luggage. Luckily, we're about 90% packed. I should be able to finish up easily in the time I have left.

Sorry for the piece meal quoting....but I have to announce a booking!!!

Dec. 3 to 6th...I am taking my baby boys on a trip to meet our fabulous RC family. Fingers crossed...I put a lock on airfare and booked a room at AKL CL. Pickings are SLIM....I told DS12 and he is SOOOOOOO excited. I decided to not take the new job, I just am not "feeling" it....I need to concentrate on school and family. It's all good, I spoke with my boss at the ER and explained I was gonna leave, but I don't want to..we worked out a compromise and I got a wee raise!!!

Yes, ladies, the afternoon tea is just divine and may or may not have me considering a hop over to the Grand for our trip. However, being alone with the kids, I am not sure it would be a good fit.

Jeanette Love the change to BC. There is no perfect resort but I am bias to the Epcot Resorts. The Mods interest me but not so much since they are all bus and the monorail resorts pull on me hard but just yesterday was reading about another monorail delay which is my concern if staying and paying big $$$ ya know.

Walk or Boat what can be better than that? Nothing!

Finalizing my trip plans, ordered our park tickets from UT yesterday and made reservations at the airport hotel for the night before our flight down $134 +tax incl 10 days of parking and made the reservation for the night we return, taking a late flight 9pm $99 +tax.

Planning on reserving my ECV today, Bob said hold up on one for him, if he needs it blah blah blah Same as last year

Not going to stress over it now or once there either I will just do my own thing and he can eat my dust!

Need to make a reservation for Bella too at the kennel, then I think I am done

So that is my vent of the day.

Jeanette: Ok, I do love that you are at the Beach Club now, much better transportation and that means less stress right? I spoke a bit too soon about DD's bully, she confronted DD yesterday at breaktime. But not to worry I am going to put a quick stop to it this year. I also have some of my lunchbreak supervisor friends on it too.

Jeanette Love the change to BC. There is no perfect resort but I am bias to the Epcot Resorts. The Mods interest me but not so much since they are all bus and the monorail resorts pull on me hard but just yesterday was reading about another monorail delay which is my concern if staying and paying big $$$ ya know.

Youngest DD just had her meet and greet with her SK teacher. She is one of the ones I was hoping she would get so I am happy. Very sweet lady. Now I just have to entertain the little one until she really starts school on September 16!!

Sheila and Ginny - you guys are also close! Right in front of me I think

Pas - love the BC booking!! That has been by far my family's favorite (but we still have a lot to try). Did I miss how on earth you managed to take a trip without the girls? My kids are ready to kill us because we are going without them. DD said yesterday that this is the first year she is missing in 5 years I want DH to go back during her fall break but he isn't hearing me on it. Yesterday I told him I wanted to buy DVC and you should have seen the look I got! LOL He did say, why can't we just go when we want and pay for it then.

I loved all the first day of school pics! My trip is in less than a month. Still no Magic Bands (darnit!) and I am working with Travelocity to fix my WL reservation from one adult to two adults. It is a PITA but that is what I get for saving money (and I would do it again because I love a good deal!)

So I am wondering if my girlfriends and I should do tea at the GF after our spa treatments? Can't decide if we would like that better or just going back to the pool.

Has anyone eaten at the Territory lounge at WL? I am thinking DH and I might make a light meal of that on our first night. Then we might take the monorail to the Poly to watch Hallowishes from the beach. I am also considering a carriage or horseback ride at FW.

jenny I surely hope this Bully issue is addressed. My eldest boy went thru a few issues at school but back then there were no policies in place in the school systems. One mother I confronted after her son gave my 9 year old a bloody nose which resulted in my son missing the flag day ceremony which I had taken time off from work to attend, looked at me shrugged and said " boys will be boys" and walked away. I wanted to ponch on her and rip her hair out

Another time was in middle school and this boy constantly pushed and shoved my DS, I finally told Shawn just punch him back, he did and got suspended and the principal said it did not matter who started it etc etc the policy was to suspend anyone fighting.

Like my tude eh? Lol I am just so fed up with the stubbornness of that man!

Phew. Hoping some of the new friends she's made haven't been moved to this new class. It was all very silly of me to worry about. She's such a sensitive thing. (Must get that from her daddy.)
