Hey laaaaaadies! (That was said in the Beastie Boys style, sorry.

)
Koh: Hugs to you, friend. So happy things are on the mend and you'll be heading off on vacation soon.
Regardless, I hope I can save the amount required by Jan 2015 I so want to get back!
Marie
You will, you will, you will!
Miss-I remember the European days without a dryer...everything was clean...but stiff as a board when dry! lol!
Bahaha, YES! The jeans were always the WORST.
Thanks for the F&W link. You know, I sat there and read the 3D Dessert Party review... got all excited about it then it dawned on me, they won't have one whilst we're there.

(Although they will have one the day before we arrive.
Have you done the Dessert Party before? The ticket pricing sounds quite reasonable.
We booked our spa apps this week! We are going to the GF spa.

That's going to be lovely!
I've wanted to stay at the Swan ever since the DH and I have been going to WDW together, since the resort is our last name minus an extra 'n' at the end. Honestly, if you could get the DDP at the Swan, it would be the only resort we stayed at, because we love those Heavenly beds.
Will you guys have breakfast or any other meals there? They've got a really nice breakfast buffet at Fresh Market and The Fountain does a
very good burger.
I can't believe being without a washer/dryer for that long. I know it had to have been frustrating dealing with repair men that you don't speak the same language fluently. Heck some of them can be hard enough to understand when you do. I know it wasn't funny to you at the time, but that sounds like a great skit for Saturday Night Live.
It was quite funny, I felt horrible for not being able to communicate better but we got there in the end. These two big burly French dudes sitting there looking at me with wide-eyed wonder as I drew pictures and they consulted with each other and would say stuff to me as I consulted our French dictionary.
French folks tend to get a bad rap (probably due to the whole Parisian big-city thing). All the normal French people we ever met -- aside from any bureaucratic dealings -- were always amazingly friendly and helpful.
It's watching things like that happen in day cares that I worked at before having kids, that made me not want to have girls. Boys will beat the heck out of each other, and five minutes later be best friends again. Girls are cruel and try to crush each other souls, and will hold a grudge over something silly until the end of time. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to hang with the fabulous Miss M. For some reason when I read that part, I got this image in my head of that pic you posed of Miss M (the one you said explained the Exorcist nightmares), with a big sword in her hand, giving the look from that pic, saying off with her head, and beheading her. Yeah, I think I need to lay off the foreign horror movies for a while.

Totally hear ya. Yesterday was better thankfully. Fingers (and various other bits and pieces) crossed for today's outcome.
... I want to go to Scotland to see the Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo. I know it's held after our actual anniversary date, but it'll be full of some of my favorite things....drums, bagpipes, plaid, kilts (or rather men in kilts). Oddly enough me trying to use all the guys walking around in kilts (which is a serious weakness for me) didn't make my DH jump and and say, "oooo, let's go then." I think it worked against my cause.
That would be fantastic. You should really go! Edinburgh's a lovely, gorgeous city. (Don't let Trainspotting sway you.

) I so regret not going -- especially since it was just a train-ride away when we were there.)

(Closest we ever got was watching it on the local BBC Scotland station.) I used to waddle past (in my pregnant days) the Buchanan St piper in Glasgow every morning on my way to the subway into work.

Not quite the same, hahaha.
38 days until Disney is soooo much better than 191

Yes it certainly is, woooot!
Good evening ladies! Just letting everyone know I will be MIA for awhile. Starting major house renos. Have to pack up basement. Adding bathroom, moving laundry room, re doing plumbing, etc. have to get stuff packed up before we leave in 2 weeks for Florida!! I better get busy
Getting CLOSE! Good luck with the renos. Watch that knee!
Miss, hoping our Miss M is loving camp this week.
Thanks! Hoping today is an incident-free camp day.
sorry it was confusing about Pas and her Disney side trip... hey it confused ME at first as I initially thought she might be headed to CRT... but she stayed true to her promise, no Disney parks... only Pas would head to Disney to do laundry...
Lately its been super busy at work...Sam will be home on Friday so I'm looking forward to TGIF this week! and then vacation up next!
Ah, so it was JUST for laundry!

So funny! Let us get that TGIF here soon, because I've been a day behind all week long. Today should be Sunday from my estimation.
Bill received a Disney 'discount' (and I use that term very loosely) in the mail.
In my best teenager voice, "Laaaaaaaame discount!" Hopefully something better comes along.
Ooooh, like THIS...
Heather The newest rumor is All of Dec up to the 23rd I think will be included in the RO offer possibly coming out 9/1 and Deluxes will be up to 35%.
US sent me another pin for 40% off trying to lure me over
That sounds like a super good discount.

Well, BOTH of them, eh? Stick with the Poly, stick with the Poly.
I always get bloated at disney and ya never know what will fit
Yep, yep... same thing happens to me.
Missoutandabout: You know, I've been thinking about why I was underwhelmed by my Univ experience. I am a creative, and being an art director by trade, for me the best part about WDW is how the heck they do all "that" ... the attention to detail in every single little thing they do, from resort to theme parks, from architecture to story building, from carpet design to scent selection is phenomenal. The mood they set on purpose at ever single turn is my "crack". My head just swivels around in awe at WDW. IMO Universal is more one-dimensional, focusing on the individual attractions (which are fun) rather than the whole experience. And the thrill of thrill rides fade and there's always a need for more, more, more.
Thanks for explaining.

Curiosity got this never-been cat. Makes a lot of sense, how you describe it -- especially considering how Disney has it all down to an art-form. So, you didn't venture up to the WWoHP? That's the only part I'm actually interested in seeing.

And, that's more for ME really -- don't think Miss M (or the hubs, really) are "thrill ride" sorta people. Thinking I should back-burner the idea until she's more willing to try some of the other things... and they expand WWoHP. Disney's her cup o' tea at the moment and that suits me just fine.
Tonight, I have another NKOTB concert!!! But, this time right in my city, only 5 minutes from my house, which is nice! No travel required.
Enjoy the concert.
