Our little thread of BIG Resort changes*OLD THREAD link on last pg. to new thread!

:goodvibes Hi Kook:

I was wondering about those discounts for the military because whenever we go to Seaworld with my brother or my DH, they honour both American and Canadian active/ retired military with the Free Admission. Yes, occasionally they have the FD deal for Canadians, I booked that last year...but it was also offered to the GP too, I do enjoy the FD discount :)

I am not sure where to book my next trip.....I am beginning to lean towards a 1 BDRM at Kidani for the seperate bedroom with King bed for DH and I, for the laundry room in our suite. and the extra bathroom will be great for getting ready in the AM with 2 teens and myself and DH.

BWI pulls me for the location/ and the club level access with the Deluxe room (boardwalk view). I am 100% club level addicted, and have never done without it!!
If I do forgo BWI/ CL and go with Kidani, I would definitely upgrade to Deluxe DDP to make up for no club level.....

Wish I could make my reservation now!! but with 554 days to go, I 've got a bit of a wait! I also am looking into perhaps renting DVC points for the first time....although I'd have to be pretty sure about dates/ etc...due to the very rigid cancellation policies....also , I wouldn't be able to keep and eye out for discounts or free dining if I do that , so I really have to see how much renting points at $14/point will really save me over paying directly through CRO with Disney.

I miss WDW so much, it's pretty much on my mind daily , and I just wish it was more financially feasible for us to go more often! flights from AB Canada run us at least $600 per person, and with adding on 3 days at UNIVERSAL (a must do for us now), and DDP/Tickets, etc....it isn't cheap....runs us close to 10K if not more! so I need that time to save, which sadly I am not doing a good job of with the bills I have to pay off right now! In the large scheme of things, 17 months isn't long to save, so I hope I can find a decent discount when it comes time to book!

Hi Marie, Glad Kook answered you, I wasn't sure. She's a great resource for all things Disney!
You had asked about the furlough. Basically they "think" they are balancing some of the budget by requiring many government workers to stay home one day a week. The government keeps the money that they would have paid the employee. It's not very nice, obviously. I don't even think it's honest, but that's my opinion. Sigh..Now onto happier things...

I love following along with your plans! You are going to have a wonderful family vacation. Lots of good memories. :goodvibes

WOW! Ginny.....That's crazy, and definitely not fair. Hopefully it doesn't last long! People depend on a certain salary, and when it's cut it's not great! I know because ours is all up in the air right now. Yes, DH is on Workers Comp, but the pay dates are all screwy, and it's a percentage of his pay, so it is all up in the air, I hate it to tell you the truth, and wish life could get back to normal. Hopefully we will come into the money for our trip, by either some of DH's compensation for his injury (sad way to come into some money... but it will be appreciatied regardless!) or by getting my handle on these bills I am trying to pay down! Regardless, I hope I can save the amount required by Jan 2015 :) I so want to get back!

Thanks Marie, you are a sweetie! :goodvibes I am so sorry you are having to deal with crazy pay issues. Trying to get your dh recovered, working through workers comp paperwork, it has to be so challenging. Sending you hugs!
Also sending some pixie dust your way! pixiedust: Bit by bit I know you'll plan a wonderful vacation!

Miss-I remember the European days without a dryer...everything was clean...but stiff as a board when dry! lol! :rotfl:

Hi Koh, Glad you're back and things are in a better place. :goodvibes

Hi friends! Congrats to those of you that booked with the military discount! They released (or I should say someone leaked) dates for the next round of FD. It doesn't fall in our dates so I think we will stick with what we have. We are booked with the DVC cash rate ( friends we are going with are DVC members).

I think I might book a value for one night before our reservation starts. Airfare is cheaper the day before and that would give dh and I more time!! Right now, I am thinking POP. Although, I need to see if I have enough Starwood points for the swalphin.
We booked our spa apps this week! We are going to the GF spa.

Just a teeny bit of Food and Wine news for interested RCers:

The Disney food blog has information on Flying Fish Wine dinners during 2013 Epcot Food and Wine (link below)

I called the number, signed up for one. Should be very yummy!:yay:

http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2013/07/23/news-wine-dinners-at-flying-fish-cafe-during-the-2013-epcot-food-and-wine-festival/

Which one did you book?

Lost art indeed and not so good when the creek runs dry. Yes, yes, I know I'm suppose to buy a new one, so says DH and you, but will they take away 4 if I buy a new set? You see, the house came with a set and I moved in with a set and well, I'd be pleased as punch with a new red pair, but not if it means I then have 6...

Depending on where you buy them, they might take them all away. If they won't, you might be able to call an independent dealer (that sells used appliances) to get the extra pair. If you give them to them for free, and they just have to pick them up, they will usually come and pick them up. This way they can fix them and resale them. Whatever you do, I wouldn't buy Samsung. I know they look cool, and have a lot of cool features. The problem is when they go down. Samsung and LG parts come from Korea, and they can be hard/impossible to get.

:lmao: That is perfect! But, no, it's just one of these...

0-60 in 15.3 seconds!!!!

Why don't you buy one or two Gremlins and drive next time? It's so much fun!

I can't believe the prices on those. It's crazy how much cars have gone up in price.

SWAN and PIF Dancing Guy for YOU!

:dancer:

Thank you. Now we just have to wait for the "I"m starting the drive to WDW tomorrow" dance.

Wookie...:yay: for Swan! I keep saying we need to give it a try, especially since they give the teacher discount. Know you are super excited, and you have it paid off - even better!!! :thumbsup2

Heather

I think it worked out to be a pretty good deal. With taxes and resort fees it was $167 for a room with the Heavenly beds. When I priced it out the same room on the web site, without the discount, it showed to be about $263.

I've wanted to stay at the Swan ever since the DH and I have been going to WDW together, since the resort is our last name minus an extra 'n' at the end. Honestly, if you could get the DDP at the Swan, it would be the only resort we stayed at, because we love those Heavenly beds.

Good morning! Finally catching up again.
Wookie - :woohoo: for the Swan and PIF!!! And thank you for emailing that to me yesterday, I wanted to price out ALL my options :rolleyes1

:grouphug:
Melissa

No problem. It's just good through the rest of today if any one else wants the code from it. If you do, just PM me either your email address, or I can try and copy and paste it in a PM back to you.

How'd it go yesterday? Was it fixed? This quote reminds me of when our washer/dryer broke in France; it was one of those all-in-one machines... neither of which do their intended function efficiently. I said the exact same thing about washing them in the creek. The new one they sent over broke after the first week. I went without a washer for 6 weeks. Having to explain to the appliance guys that I didn't want it fixed but wanted a NEW replacement for the week-old bust one was an interesting discussion since the two guys didn't speak English and my French phrases were severely limited. It was the ultimate game of Pictionary amidst mountain-sized piles of dirty clothes. :rotfl:

When we moved to the UK, I told my hubs it was absolutely mandatory for us to have a REAL dryer. My clothes-horse was promptly thrown into the garage never to be used again.

I can't believe being without a washer/dryer for that long. I know it had to have been frustrating dealing with repair men that you don't speak the same language fluently. Heck some of them can be hard enough to understand when you do. I know it wasn't funny to you at the time, but that sounds like a great skit for Saturday Night Live.

I'm with ya. I'd been thinking how nice it would be to drive out to the Grand Canyon with Miss M. Then I think about being stuck in the car for that long. :scared1: It's always a fleeting thought -- here and gone in about 15 seconds.

That is exactly where the DH says we are going next year for our family vacation. We would love to take the boys to Washington D.C., but JM isn't exactly a fan on the current administration, and can be very creative on his ways to get them out of office. I just don't want his mouth going off, and the poor kid being arrested for wishing the President was blasted out into space without a space suit (which is one of his many ideas). I just keep repeating to him, that no matter what you think of any president, you need to give them the respect that should be given to any one in that office. We're still working with him on what things are appropriate to say out loud and which ones we should just keep to ourselves.

Hard to tell with Miss M, she said she had fun and spent most of the time with one of her friends. Then she mentioned her previous "best friend" told Miss M there wasn't room for her to play with them. She looked a bit dejected when she was telling me this and then said she'd gone off to find her other friend. Seems girls start super-early with the nasty stuff.

It's watching things like that happen in day cares that I worked at before having kids, that made me not want to have girls. Boys will beat the heck out of each other, and five minutes later be best friends again. Girls are cruel and try to crush each other souls, and will hold a grudge over something silly until the end of time. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to hang with the fabulous Miss M. For some reason when I read that part, I got this image in my head of that pic you posed of Miss M (the one you said explained the Exorcist nightmares), with a big sword in her hand, giving the look from that pic, saying off with her head, and beheading her. Yeah, I think I need to lay off the foreign horror movies for a while.

So I am sure I have LOTS to catch up on after being MIA for a few days, but I wanted to say good morning and I will try to read all about the changes that took place while I was away...

In a nutshell, I was stupid and made some major mistakes. DH found an email that basically said I was emailing an ex and had been planning to meet up for lunch, none of which I was sharing with DH...it was a really rough weekend to say the least. Talk of divorce, custody of the kids, and Disney was not looking to being a happy trip whatsoever. However, we are working through it and things are so much better now. :flower3:

Poly is only a week away!! And we are definitely needing this time away now!

 I'm so sorry. The DH and I went through something, that is not a good topic for a Disney message board. Let's just say, in a sense, his 7 year itch was scratched. It took a while, but we were able to work though it and as of July 1, have been married 18 years. Just keep working on it. After all, if being married were that simple, every one that ever got married would stay married to the same person for the rest of their lives.

:goodvibes Hi Kook:

I know being without the CL would stink, but I think the extra space would more than make up for it, especially if you can swing the DlxDDP.

WOW! Ginny.....That's crazy, and definitely not fair. Hopefully it doesn't last long! People depend on a certain salary, and when it's cut it's not great! Marie

I hope y'all lives do go back to normal soon. I know you would rather not have the money, if it would mean that your husband would have never been hurt. I have faith that you will be able to get the money saved by 2015.

Last night the DH showed me this drum and bagpipe group from Scotland, because one of the drummers really got into it. Well, the fil had my DH bring it up on my laptop, so the mil could see it. After we watched it, I told her about this drum core I had seen from Switzerland that had LED lights on their drums. After I showed it to her, I decided where I want to go for our 20th wedding anniversary. I want to go to Scotland to see the Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo. I know it's held after our actual anniversary date, but it'll be full of some of my favorite things....drums, bagpipes, plaid, kilts (or rather men in kilts). Oddly enough me trying to use all the guys walking around in kilts (which is a serious weakness for me) didn't make my DH jump and and say, "oooo, let's go then." I think it worked against my cause.

Thinking the Disney gods are smiling down on me today....wanted to two ADR's for Labor Day weekend, both for a party of 8 since the cousins are coming, and got both for the exact day and time I wanted  That doesn't happen when I plans months in advance.

We are staying off property so we can all be together, which is always fun. I am a bit sad though that I wont run into Linda at POR :(

38 days until Disney is soooo much better than 191

Good evening ladies! Just letting everyone know I will be MIA for awhile. Starting major house renos. Have to pack up basement. Adding bathroom, moving laundry room, re doing plumbing, etc. have to get stuff packed up before we leave in 2 weeks for Florida!! I better get busy :goodvibes

Morin' Peeps

Sheila, :wave2:

Jen, :yay: for upgrades!! Sounds like you are having a great time with the fam!

Heather, gorgeous pix, always nice to see them posted with your special touches to them!

Linda, so sorry about the migraine  hope you are feeling 100% again.

Miss, hoping our Miss M is loving camp this week.:cool1:

Krystal, so thankful to read that life is looking up for you again. Some might say without any "downs", we can't really fully appreciate the "ups" in our lives ... Sounds like you two on getting back in stride and the vacation couldn't of come at a better time.. getting away from day to day life will hopefully be a perfect restorative.

Ginny, congrats on getting BWI and WL! (and the honeymoon suite too!) A nice Epcot/MK split. So happy you were able to take advantage of the new offer! :goodvibes but sorry about the furlough business :(... (is dinner out still helping with that?) BTW, took a peek at the Food BLog... my those dinners sound yummy...

Magic, so no "magic" at Universal... see I told ya you needed to visit WWoHP :upsidedow well, Disney is up next, and I know that will clear away any blues. Plus you got your Bro with you this week!! :cool1:

Kook, :yay: for the road trip starting Tuesday!!

Kook & Miss, love the Gremlin pix!! :rotfl2:

Marie, in addition to worrying about DH's recovery, you have the pay issue too...so sorry... hoping that you can get some compensation for his injury (although I know you would given anything for it to never happen). Hoping DS is easing into the new job and its going well. :)

MM, :woohoo: on booking next August at CR with the new military rate!!! and for saving $150 on the fall trip. More $$ for Food & Wine!!

Melissa, well the texts were few and far between from Sam but its okay .. she's having a great time and hey I am little busy at home too :) so all is well. Letting go and giving up control is not easy but it's good for both of us... its a work in process :)

AND CONGRATS on booking for Labor Day weekend!! YEAH! and scoring the ADRs!! :thumbsup2

Wookie, for the Swan and being PIF!! btw, do love your colorful stories...:rotfl2:

Trish, we love WWoHP too! :cool1: Really looking forward to the expansion. It's our love for HP that will see us return to Universal.

Sue, please be careful and don't overtax yourself with the house re-do, you have more important things coming up... :)

****************************************

sorry it was confusing about Pas and her Disney side trip... hey it confused ME at first as I initially thought she might be headed to CRT... but she stayed true to her promise, no Disney parks... only Pas would head to Disney to do laundry...

Lately its been super busy at work...Sam will be home on Friday so I'm looking forward to TGIF this week! :) and then vacation up next!

Morning :wave2:

Janet...you have Kook and me beat on early rising!! Is that time stamp correct on your post??? 3am??!!!

Almost thought we would be returning to Disney before 10 months to AKL! Ha! The jokes on me :upsidedow

Bill received a Disney 'discount' (and I use that term very loosely) in the mail. It was for December, so we checked it out. For one whole week we would basically save $100 on a value or mod and a little more for a deluxe. :confused3 Really?? We called to be sure - the same. The last couple of 'discounts' that we've received haven't given an actual % off - it usually says something to the effect of "For a value - $712 for an adult, $308 for a junior and $289 for a child". I was excited for about 2 minutes - then reality hit - not really a discount at all. :upsidedow Oh well, no ticker changes for me!

Back to catching up! :surfweb:

Heather

Heather The newest rumor is All of Dec up to the 23rd I think will be included in the RO offer possibly coming out 9/1 and Deluxes will be up to 35%.

Maybe you can still make the trip back to AKL ;)

US sent me another pin for 40% off trying to lure me over :rolleyes1

I am watching this RO discount with great interest if the Poly rate is for 30% or maybe the 35% :faint: even with paying for higher priced tix we'd save money $

My head is all over the place thinking hard about changeing which is crazy since I wanted to stay at Poly for so long but....

Janet  Have a great time when Sam gets home on Friday!

Krystal

Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday!

Morning all!

I am still struggling to keep you all straight. For example who has the cute young daughter with long hair? Who is going to disney in August? Etc

The GF thread has given us reading homework aka many threads about new magic bands. Go there if want some good info.;)

Can I be added to dates on 1st page? Please and thank you.:)

8/13-16 CBR

1/1-1/2/14 GF CL all 4
1/2-1/5 VGF all 4 of us
1/5-1/8 me n dd18 currently AoA passholder should have a better offer.

I am getting good at splits. Dd and I don't mind. We usually stay mod then for a treat move to a CL for a day or two. Saves money and still is enjoyable that way.
I finally stopped unpacking at disney. I bring my tops this way. I put 3 or 4 on one hanger and fold the hangers and shirts in suitcase. Then I just hang the hangers up when arrive. Then if move they fold up quick and not all wrinkled.

For a 2. 1/2 day I will bring enough clothes for 5:rotfl2:

I always get bloated at disney and ya never know what will fit :rolleyes1

Have a great summer day all:beach:

KOOK: Glad you added Tuesday! I am still trying to decide on buying the Gremlin next or that wild-n-wooly AMC Pacer. :duck:

Mousemommy1: We enjoyed CR GW, hope you do too. I love the "original" WDW vibe there. :goodvibes

Gwynne: Happy for your new Military discounts ressies. :woohoo: So good for all our RCers families! And I agree with you.

Wookie: Love your Swan deal... that means WDW is in your future! Location location location! :thumbsup2

trishadono: Short notice WDW planning is so much fun. I always get a little rush when I plan one of those trips. Your January plans sound positively Grand! :wizard:

chimo2u: I am so glad that tub was magical. Glad you had a nice weekend. :yay:

Missoutandabout: You know, I've been thinking about why I was underwhelmed by my Univ experience. I am a creative, and being an art director by trade, for me the best part about WDW is how the heck they do all "that" ... the attention to detail in every single little thing they do, from resort to theme parks, from architecture to story building, from carpet design to scent selection is phenomenal. The mood they set on purpose at ever single turn is my "crack". ::yes:: My head just swivels around in awe at WDW. IMO Universal is more one-dimensional, focusing on the individual attractions (which are fun) rather than the whole experience. And the thrill of thrill rides fade and there's always a need for more, more, more.

babyberger: The ole "a quick weekend in September before our AP's expire" plan, eh? WINK Perfecto. Being together offsite sounds like a blast!!!! :cool1:

HStrickland: 21 signature ADRs? I'm jumping in your suitcase. Loving you great photos. The POR one was so pretty. :cutie:

koh1977: Thinking of you.

sjs314: HI. :wave2: STICK WITH POOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY! Just throwing in my 2¢ :lmao:

janetB: WWOHP would have def made me hurl ;)... Speaking of, that new Twirl & Hurl ride is under construction. What a great name for a thrill ride! :rotfl:

Just POPping in to say HI! :goodvibes

Almost time for on-line check in at POP!!!! I'm so excited!!! :hyper:

Tonight, I have another NKOTB concert!!! But, this time right in my city, only 5 minutes from my house, which is nice! No travel required.

Hope everyone is having a great week!! :wizard:

Trish, we sound very much alike...I'm an overpacker too (love the clothes tips!). My DD (Sam) and I are heading to Disney next friday ... we are trying our first split unless I change before then ...For the August vacationers, look to post #2 (where I am headed to add your dates :)) Seems Iheart will be there when you are ... we will miss you :(

BTW, believe you are referring to Missoutandabout's daugher, Miss M. She's a real cutie. :cutie:

Missoutandabout: You know, I've been thinking about why I was underwhelmed by my Univ experience. Well put Magic. Universal will never replace Disney in my heart, doesn't even come close. The draw for us is WWoHP... we love the books, the characters, and fill emersed in it when we are at Hogwarts. Looking forward to seeing the new expansion.

janetB: WWOHP would have def made me hurl ;)... Speaking of, that new Twirl & Hurl ride is under construction. What a great name for a thrill ride! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: What a great name for a ride!! And quite appropriately named given that we are talking about the Simpsons here. :upsidedow Sounds like fun!

Ohhhhh nooooooooooooooooo, word is that the construction at the Poly won't be as bad as anticipated next year......what to do........:rotfl2:

The little Simpson's section is cute, although not all open yet. The Chicken & Waffle sandwich with maple syrup "mayo" was quite tasty to at Cletus' Chicken Shack. :thumbsup2

:goodvibes Hi Janet! Thanks for the support -- DH is working away at Physio, hoping that we can get some movement in that finger by the fall. His next follow up appointment with the surgeon is August 28, so we will see what is said then!

I don't know if you read/ heard that my DS 21 (Josh) ended up surviving only 3 nights at the Home Depot job -- night shift was just not for him, and he wasn't happy. He has gone with DGF and her family to Ontario (2 provinces over from us/ about a 4 day drive I'd say) to meet her extended family, attend a wedding and just join DGF and her family on their road trip. When he comes home, he's gotten an offer with DGF's Mother's - Boyfriend's - son's company (whew! hope that makes sense, lol) ALL Weather Windows installing windows, it's day shift, monday to friday, approx 7:30 am to 3 Pm...... it's three $$ more an hour than home depot was (starting at $18/ hour) with benefits, so it sounds great, I just hope it really works out as he's hoping! Also DGF's mom has lots of in's with construction type guys and her uncle owns his own electrical company, so when there is an opening for electrician apprenticeship, Josh will get first offer. So hopefully these things start to come together for him. We are waiting with baited breath for him to come back from Ontario, and start the window company job.... anything to just get him earning some money and starting to save towards a car and his freedom :)

I am thankful my younger son (DS 17 Andrew) has goals to join the military right out of highschool next yr. One more year, and he's on his way -- he's much more motivated than his older brother, and already has held several part time jobs. He's pretty determined to begin life and get his freedom :) that's a good thing, so I think it will be less challenging when he's ready to join the real world.

I have been thinking alot about our upcoming trip in Jan 2015. I am beginning to find myself thinking more and more about staying at Kidani in a 1 BDRM suite for the extra room and extra bathroom/ seperate king size master and the laundry facility inside the suite! I think I can give up Club Level without too much pain in exchange for those positives.....as well, I can just add on Deluxe ddp to make up for the loss of club level. I will see what the pricing is come next July when I can book (wow! it seems a long way away!) -- I'm not sure about the DVC rental thing, but I might just go through CRO. we will see how it pans out, until then....save, save save!!! I'm gonna need it!!!!

Hey laaaaaadies! (That was said in the Beastie Boys style, sorry. :rolleyes1 )

Koh: Hugs to you, friend. So happy things are on the mend and you'll be heading off on vacation soon.

Regardless, I hope I can save the amount required by Jan 2015 I so want to get back!
Marie

You will, you will, you will! ::yes::

Miss-I remember the European days without a dryer...everything was clean...but stiff as a board when dry! lol!

Bahaha, YES! The jeans were always the WORST. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the F&W link. You know, I sat there and read the 3D Dessert Party review... got all excited about it then it dawned on me, they won't have one whilst we're there. :rolleyes2 (Although they will have one the day before we arrive. :scratchin

Have you done the Dessert Party before? The ticket pricing sounds quite reasonable.

We booked our spa apps this week! We are going to the GF spa.

:worship: That's going to be lovely!

I've wanted to stay at the Swan ever since the DH and I have been going to WDW together, since the resort is our last name minus an extra 'n' at the end. Honestly, if you could get the DDP at the Swan, it would be the only resort we stayed at, because we love those Heavenly beds.

Will you guys have breakfast or any other meals there? They've got a really nice breakfast buffet at Fresh Market and The Fountain does a very good burger.

It was quite funny, I felt horrible for not being able to communicate better but we got there in the end. These two big burly French dudes sitting there looking at me with wide-eyed wonder as I drew pictures and they consulted with each other and would say stuff to me as I consulted our French dictionary. :rotfl:

French folks tend to get a bad rap (probably due to the whole Parisian big-city thing). All the normal French people we ever met -- aside from any bureaucratic dealings -- were always amazingly friendly and helpful.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Totally hear ya. Yesterday was better thankfully. Fingers (and various other bits and pieces) crossed for today's outcome.

That would be fantastic. You should really go! Edinburgh's a lovely, gorgeous city. (Don't let Trainspotting sway you. ) I so regret not going -- especially since it was just a train-ride away when we were there.) :( (Closest we ever got was watching it on the local BBC Scotland station.) I used to waddle past (in my pregnant days) the Buchanan St piper in Glasgow every morning on my way to the subway into work. Not quite the same, hahaha.

38 days until Disney is soooo much better than 191

:worship: Yes it certainly is, woooot!

Good evening ladies! Just letting everyone know I will be MIA for awhile. Starting major house renos. Have to pack up basement. Adding bathroom, moving laundry room, re doing plumbing, etc. have to get stuff packed up before we leave in 2 weeks for Florida!! I better get busy

Getting CLOSE! Good luck with the renos. Watch that knee!

Miss, hoping our Miss M is loving camp this week.

Thanks! Hoping today is an incident-free camp day.

sorry it was confusing about Pas and her Disney side trip... hey it confused ME at first as I initially thought she might be headed to CRT... but she stayed true to her promise, no Disney parks... only Pas would head to Disney to do laundry...

Lately its been super busy at work...Sam will be home on Friday so I'm looking forward to TGIF this week! and then vacation up next!

Ah, so it was JUST for laundry! :faint: So funny! Let us get that TGIF here soon, because I've been a day behind all week long. Today should be Sunday from my estimation. :crazy2:

Bill received a Disney 'discount' (and I use that term very loosely) in the mail.

In my best teenager voice, "Laaaaaaaame discount!" Hopefully something better comes along. :goodvibes

Ooooh, like THIS...

Heather The newest rumor is All of Dec up to the 23rd I think will be included in the RO offer possibly coming out 9/1 and Deluxes will be up to 35%.

US sent me another pin for 40% off trying to lure me over

That sounds like a super good discount. :worship: Well, BOTH of them, eh? Stick with the Poly, stick with the Poly. ::yes::

I always get bloated at disney and ya never know what will fit

Yep, yep... same thing happens to me. :headache:

Missoutandabout: You know, I've been thinking about why I was underwhelmed by my Univ experience. I am a creative, and being an art director by trade, for me the best part about WDW is how the heck they do all "that" ... the attention to detail in every single little thing they do, from resort to theme parks, from architecture to story building, from carpet design to scent selection is phenomenal. The mood they set on purpose at ever single turn is my "crack". My head just swivels around in awe at WDW. IMO Universal is more one-dimensional, focusing on the individual attractions (which are fun) rather than the whole experience. And the thrill of thrill rides fade and there's always a need for more, more, more.

Thanks for explaining. :goodvibes Curiosity got this never-been cat. Makes a lot of sense, how you describe it -- especially considering how Disney has it all down to an art-form. So, you didn't venture up to the WWoHP? That's the only part I'm actually interested in seeing. :3dglasses And, that's more for ME really -- don't think Miss M (or the hubs, really) are "thrill ride" sorta people. Thinking I should back-burner the idea until she's more willing to try some of the other things... and they expand WWoHP. Disney's her cup o' tea at the moment and that suits me just fine.

Tonight, I have another NKOTB concert!!! But, this time right in my city, only 5 minutes from my house, which is nice! No travel required.

Enjoy the concert. :worship:
