I told DH the tale of the wandering Dimndgal1: I went to activate tickets and found myself with Glow with the Show Ears, eating a Dole Whip, singing along to Wishes. He didn't get it... perhaps because it seems all too possible?


Your last quote made me think of the line from Ever After (a fave movie!!!) where Angelica Huston's character says "Nothing is final until your dead, and even then I'm sure God negotiates." Nothing in RC world is final until you check in... and even there the CM negotiates!!!

So the deed is done! Switched again ! We are now at the Grand Floridian! I am so excited!! Now I have to learn all I can about that resort!!!! Sooooo excited!! only took 5 changes to get me there

I think I rebooked and soon cancelled a WAY TOO EARLY ADR for F! as well. Then I was looking at reviews and prices NO WAY JOSE...yum ice cream, sorry....since there are two F! showings in August we will play it be ear

Yes, I am holding off canceling F! until much closer... like maybe the start of our week at WDW! If they add a second showing that night I won't be as inclined to keep it (especially since LO and I will probably peel off before show) but I HATE that I already gave up the 430 F! ADR!!!

And, the lack of ANY availability in the Deluxes is keeping me from splitting Sept... which, of course, makes me want the split even more!!!!

Top it off with having to clear the shelves of anything LO wants to get into and I'm just ready to get to Disney! The fact it was 90 degrees and HUMID today didn't help -- couldn't even escape to play outside for more than 20 minutes. Seems only yesterday I was complaining about snow... now I'd gladly take a day or two!

So POR has GV rooms available now for the first part of our split...do we stick with CSR the first 5 nights? Or go with POR (and request an AB room)? Any thoughts on Pepper Market vs. Riverside Mill?

We liked POR but weren't blown away. That said, we had some major CM issues and miscommunications so that sort of jaded the time. Overall, pretty resort and Riverside Mill was a hit with our fam - choices for EVERYONE! Also, AWESOME chef who worked with my GF needs.

I was going to try to say it, but Janet said it so well! So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!

What's this?? A cronut? Oh, checking Disney food blog and this looks so de-lish!! And you can get it a la mode!!!!

Oh I am so hoping there is no GF option for this so that I won't fall victim to its evil, sugary clutches!!!!!!! I'm already going through Mickey bar and Dole Whip withdrawl, I don't need to add this to my list!!!

It's been a crazy-busy 24 Disney hours for me!
I was in MDE trying to link up with my ILs accounts and realized I had some 'just in case' ADRs the TA booked for September and needed to figure out which we wanted to keep. I had been grumpy because I wasn't thrilled with our night for CP until I realized the second reservation was the one Disney kept showing... we had a better suited one earlier in the week so we cancelled the late week one and now I'm content with how that lines up - we'll be at CP at 620 on a EMH evening... should line us up well for Wishes and 2nd parade!
Also, we cancelled our dinner at WCC and booked breakfast on checkout morning. Dinner looks a bit over the top from videos I saw and I'm worried how the crazy atmosphere will affect DD6 - she's been doing great on her new ADD meds but is so easily distracted come late evening I can just see her not eating and losing focus which will just torpedo the night (no food = grumpy kid = AHHHH!). Breakfast looks a little calmer but still fun and she's in a much better frame of mind in the AM.
While doing all this, I was on the phone with TA and we went ahead and added DDP to Sept - Dear Friend and DH liked the idea of having the meals paid for and the snack credits for F&W will be nice.

Finally, after talking to TA and then my two SILs, I think we're going to try to do Biergarten or Raglan Rd for Christmas Dinner. I am much happier with these options than Cape May - nothing against Cape May but something about the two new options 'feels' better. So, we'll see how that goes!!!

Hey everyone!

Long time, no chat! We had an incredibly busy memorial weekend! Our family flew home yesterday and I am wiped out! I feel a head cold coming on so I'm doubling up on my zinc and vitamin C. On the flip side, DD and I slept till 9:30am! That is really unheard of in our house but we were done in. The party was excellent, the weather stayed relatively nice and it was a great way to kick off summer.

Not much news on the vacation front. We're 102 days out now (double digit dance soon!) and just waiting for our FP+ window to open.

I am right there with ya! Except for BOG and Via Napoli, the others have been changed like 6 times. But I am happy to report that now that I know what we're going to do during the day, it has solidified our dining plans.

OMG! That's so funny! BOG and Via Napoli are the two of mine that I won't touch! The others have been moved over and over.

We have Garden Grill planned for our first night and it's the one I'm most uncertain of. It's my family and my sister's family. The kids are 6, 10, and 12. None of us have ever been to a character meal before and I'm not sure if the kids will be into it or will think it's silly. I'm nervous about it. And, it's my sister's family's first on-site stay so I want their first meal to be special. ???
