Hi LisaTC, As Pas said, we understand changing. (Whether you actually call, or just ponder the possibilities...I promise, most of us have done one or the other, reasonably frequently. )
Glad you found the thread! :goodvibes
I love meeting new friends :) and takes the pressure of me to change ROTFL

OK, that sounds positively fabulous. I've got to get busy and plan a universal visit one of these days.

It slipped my mind until today that I need to start thinking about ADR's for Oct. I think my ADR day is next month. I am going to try to book two party for the senses when the dates open in (probably Aug.) That is DH's favorite thing, and since it's his special birthday trip...might as well make it extra special.
ADR planning is fun!! Even when there aren't a lot to plan..I have one haha!

Janet - it's comparable when you take into account taking a later flight out so nixing the extra hotel at the airport and the fact that there won't be as much food costs OOP with CL...no savings, but SO much fun trying CL! Wonder if DH will agree with me...? I'd like to push for WL CL then...5 nights instead of 4...

Wonder if I should request bunk beds for the kids or not... :-) SO excited!!

We are headed likely at the end of October, beginning of November...I think! LOL We love October, but I loved the Christmas decorations, too. Decisions...I know somebody that did a crossover trip from the end of Oct to beg of Nov and hit both "seasons." That sounded cool

I ponder....A LOT! I change my ADR's like 40 times, it's ridiculous.

This is a very friendly thread, btw. Glad I found it!:goodvibes
Thank you, everyone here is like family...we are drama and judgement free. And safe happy place to chat. And you are going for Halloween. Awesome, great weather, Halloween decorations...food and wine, love it!!!we went for Halloween and Nov. 1 the tree was up at the studios LOL

G, and definitely do the PFTS!! :thumbsup2 It sounds fab and DH is entitled to some extra special pixie dust for his big birthday celebration... oh, can't wait to see your ADR list!

Krystal, then I'm really liking the CL at either WL or AKL... the kids will love their snack place ... Fun activities for the kids at both. At WL... you have the campfire with Chip and Dale at Ft. Wilderness... great price... free! And there is a fire pit at AKL with marshmallows... free also. I'm liking both the lodges over GF. :) ... love the laid back atmosphere at both, and both lodges seem to emit that "cool" relaxed feeling from the hot summer....

and Yes to the bunk beds! Kids will probably love them!

:welcome: Lisa! And I'm probably one of the least likely to RC.. mine are usually MC (Mental changes) or DC (date changes)..:goodvibes ... as the others have said all changes (real or imagined ) count!! :)

Welcome to our newest RCers! Whether Disney Reservations knows your voice or it's all in your head, you'll find a home here! Lots of great resources and wonderful ladies!

pas - we loved SAB! The sand area is great for smaller mouseketeers and DD had a blast in the main pool. She spent most of her time by the pool party playing Marco Polo and hula hooping. I will say that the quicksand spots freaked her out at first but once we explained to her she thought they were funny.

AK seems doable without FP if you arrive at park opening... and having the FP at MK later will be so nice.... The parade seems awesome but oh that september heat!! Hope it all works out for you.

Congrats to DD on her sking progress.. I swear the little ones seem to have no fear.

Congrats to DD and the school! It sounded like our school’s version of OM – Odyssey of the Mind, and when I googled your program, I read that it took over for OM. :cool1: Great program!

Nice compromise :thumbsup2 Agree with DH on December, best to not move, when it will be so busy. And FQ is a nice, smaller resort for your group. :) and a plus for the POR resorts is having two nice food courts at hand. Boat to DTD, nightime entertainment, carriage rides, etc. All good!

You are helping me feel better about AK!!! I hate having to figure out my days this far in advance but hoping it works out. I want to see the midday parade but I also know the LO will need a break. We'll see how it works out!

DD6 is beyond fearless - ToT at 3 and ready to conquer looping coasters this summer (48" took FOREVER for her). Between her no fear attitude and her propensity for independence, I fear for her future suitors! ;) She had a blast doing the competition and DH was thrilled our school offered the program - he did Odyssey of the Mind and enjoyed it. Part of me wants to get back here for high school because they have a great STEM program and I think she would benefit.

The boat to DtD and option to hop to POR are why I'm hoping we can keep FQ... I also figure we have a better shot of getting SOME discount between the to PO resorts!!! *fingers crossed*

Mousemommy
- What room is that??? Would love a castle view!!!

HELLO to everyone and I hope your week is treating you well! SOOOO over winter and ready for sunshine!!! :cool1:

Okay am I the only one that thought of a margarita at the salt reference??? :rotfl: :drinking1
:goodvibes no, now I am too!

We love POR, too. I'm probably the opposite of this thread, I'm a wanna change, but can't change resort "unchanger!" LOL I like everything you mentioned about POR. I would love to try GF or Poly or BC, but can't seem to part with my $$ that I need to spend in the parks! LOL I need to convert to a changer...I know it!

:thumbsup2 I don't really feel hard done by at POR, and happily go back and forth between POR & deluxe.

Hi my name is Laura,

I've been to WDW 6 times as an adult 98' Dixie Landings (disneymoon), 02 CBR, 05 POR, 09 Pop, 11 POFQ 12 POR. I've not really been a resort changer but I think I am now. Our orginal reservation is for AOA LM in July. Now that the discount is out thinking very hard about switching to POP. It's kind of hard to justify a $300.00 difference. The only 2 things that are preventing me are my DD7 she had her heart set on a LM room and my DS14 he wanted to stay there because it's new and had stuff to do with art/drawing. :confused3 Hmmm what to do???

:welcome: HELLO! Welcome to the best indecisive thread on the net! party:

How long is your stay? Would a split-stay be an option? That way you can indulge the kiddos in some animation but still save some money. Or maybe set aside some time to tour AoA?
FWIW, my friend who got back said she thought LM rooms were cute but the walk was FAAAAAAAR... I know your kiddos are older so less of an issue after a long park day but definitely something to consider for convenience purposes! Good luck in your decision making!

Sweet thread idea glad i found it. We've been going back and forth between the Poly and GF. Worried about the construction at the Poly but love the theming. The GF resort looks absolutely beautiful but don't like the theming of the rooms. We seem to change our minds weekly lol.

Don't like the new GF room decor, or the old room decor??? :rolleyes1

dimndgal1 We were in room 7042 :goodvibes

ashnjam - WELCOME!
I am always leery of staying the first time at a hotel under construction but it's such a hard decision. Since Poly guests are allowed to use some of the GF amenities, staying at Poly would be like getting GF without the decor. ;)
All that said, I have to admit I am REALLY turned off when a room decor is not to my liking so I totally understand your quandary! Wish I could help more but even in your situation I'm indecisive!!!

GAH! I was afraid you'd have a 7 there!!! *sighs*.... will...not...consider...CL...will...not...consider...CL...

P.S. someone resurrected a zombie thread of mine from October... freaked me out to see it back on the main page and getting words of encouragement from people for something about 5 changes ago ;-)

I have already decided that if I have to move our dates a little and go back to the military discount instead of the TA deal we have, I will be booking CL....you know, for my inconvenience....:rolleyes1

DH completely agrees

DH wants me to write down numbers, etc. for the Orbitz WL CL deal and I have to work out the food costs again which is the biggest pain, but yeah... :-) If I can't do 5 nights and can only do 4, but CL at WL? Yes, I think I'd take it over GF right now. :-) best of both worlds...A little bit of mountain/national park theming in the middle of Disney. :-)

WL CL is lovely. If the numbers work, I think it's a fabulous choice!:dance3:
