We realized how much we LOOOVEEE the Poly grounds walking from the TTC to go meet Janet and Rosie

We will only be a few nights August 16-20th but we will still be in Orlando after that

Nice! Do you find the halls really echo sounds? Or was it just me? We are booking universal 3 nights pre wdw in August. But 1st choice is Portifino. Second choice Royal. We never even got to check out HRH pool because of Tropical Storm Fay!!! Can you pool hop at Universal?

You can pool hop there. We did from Royal Pacific to Hard Rock. We LOVED the Portofino pool too so we didn't leave there....I didn't notice an echo, but Sue remember my kiddos are LOUD The ambience was cool, and my kids are little rockers! BUT that said RPH CL is VERY reasonable in August, so it's totally on the radar as well DECISIONS

Yes its all part of the post vacation process. Block out all the bad, remember all the good. You know how it goes right?? Or maybe I am the only one. HA!

This is exactly what my DH says I do after all of our WDW trips. It's not that I have forgotten the bad. I have just put all of those memories in a box that has been sealed with Gorilla glue, completely covered in Mickey Mouse duct tape, and stuck away in a spider web corner in my mind.

Finally completed the set for the kids bathroom. Getting ready to order some towels from the Disney Store.

It looks amazing!!


Well I've been away because I've been sick. Just a sinus infection, but I haven't felt up to getting on the boards. I think it's the weather that has me in. One day last week, Wednesday I think, it was in the 70's. The next day, it was in the low 30's and we were getting Wintery precipitation. Thanks to all the ice we got, the boys haven't had school since Thursday. I've only been out of the house long enough to drive down the street with the DH to get some chicken for dinner last night.
Oh and I told my DH last night that he was going to pay for my girls only trip to be upgraded to the WL. I think as long as I keep my mouth shut about some things that are bothering me with our Star Wars guild, he will pay for it.

Morning everyone! Hope it is a good week for all. I'm terribly behind as usual. I hope to work on my PTR today with our thoughts on our trip and using the DAS for the first time last weekend. We are heading back to Orlando Friday evening as David has meetings on Saturday. But right now I just don't know how the weekend is going to play out. Sarah spiked a fever Monday evening and the pediatrician is pretty sure it's the flu (we chose not to swab her for a bunch of reasons). Kids are resilient and by tomorrow she could be feeling a hundred times better, but we just don't know.

Poor thing...we came back all germy as well...I think I have it the worst, today no fever! But today was a snow day here...and there were lots of cuddles I am definitely keeping an eye on your TR. Our experience with MK in a wheelchair was very mixed compared to the past...I know it's not the same as DAS but my thoughts on WDW in general are let's say...it's a different world

I am much better And I meant to say yesterday was a snow day Today it is 20 degrees...seriously it is 64 degrees colder than where we were last week.... When we landed in Newark Katie was like, OK let's go back to Florida

Trying to figure out how long I need to wait to do universal...DS is 7 and did almost all of the "big" rides at Disney, but hates roller coasters that go backward or upside down (which we learned this year after Everest and Aerosmith)...wasn't sure how much we could do there at Universal...

Jeanette, how old are your kids? 12, 9, 7, 6 and 5. Bree is barely 44 inches (DS5 is taller than her) and she and DS12 are my daredevils. The only rides that she can't do are at Universal Rip ride rocket (THE SCARIEST COASTER I'VE EVER DONE! I am getting too old for coasters I swear) and the Mummy (which is a dark coaster) Maddie and Katie did ride Mummy...but even Kate didn't want to go this time At Islands of Adventure there's more thrill rides..Hulk Dr. Doom and Dragon's Challenge. BUT there's so much to do. Seuss Landing and the Jurassic Park area have lots of kid friendly stuff.

AWESOME! What also makes US/IoA great is we aren't the park commando type. So after a few rides, going back to the hotel is easy peasy. And Universal hotels are easy on the pocketbook. Our 2 GV rooms and HRH were about the same as 1 at Poly (both with discounts) An AP at US/IoA less than 1/2 price than WDW
