~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

"Claire-berry" aww.

Ok that is a good one month from today. I have not been to DTD well actually I was but by accident I was staying at SSR and the bus was crowded and I had to get out at the last stop but the bus driver skipped it and then I told her I needed to get off on that stop and she said she had to keep going because there was not enough space for more ppl to get in. So she drove by DTD and dropped off people and picked up some more so I just kind of got a glimpse of it:rotfl:. I was kind of mad at first now I just think it is funny.

Uh I would love to be in the Haunted Mansion...

My question to you

What is the one thing you always take with you to the parks?

OMG your day sounds sooooo appealing to me! I want to be at WDW :guilty:

Anyways, if I could play any character as a CM i think I would either want to be one of the princesses (probably Cinderella or Aurora because of my blonde hair) or a streetmosphere actor in DHS. How fun to just play around and be silly and make people laugh all day. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I know me too!

I could definately see you being one of the princesses! princess:

Haha, yeah he's a riot. Today he showed me the crackers he got to bring home from there.

Haha, you got a glimpse of it. :lmao:

It'd be so hard for me not to smile at anybody if I worked at the HM!

My answer to your question: I ALWAYS have my little hand held fan. You have no idea how nice those are while standing in line during a hot, sticky day! We all have one! So I carry B/F's in my bag too because I'm nice like that. :)

We're one month, too! Yippee! Of course, I thought I'd have my trip documents. No such luck. Not today, anyway.

As far as characters go, I would love to be Snow White. I certainly don't want to be in one of these hot costumes, that's for sure.

Awww I LOVE your one month from today posts. They are actually making me super excited for MY next trip LOL:rotfl:.

If I could play any character I would either be Chip/Dale (I'm too tall though:rolleyes:) or Belle/Cinderella/Aurora. Although I could also happily be one of the Tremaines, that would be a blast!

Aw, they'll be here soon!

Yeah, I definately would want to be a face character like Snow White etc.!

I could see you playing the step-sister with the red hair!

1 month from today...

1 month from today will be June 24th. We'll wake up and head to the pool. Last trip we didn't even swim because it just wasn't the same without B/F so this year we HAVE to swim.

We'll get drinks and snacks at the Gurgling Suitcase and sit at one of the tables by the pool.

We'll swim/hang out until at least late morning/early afternoon. Then, we'll head back to the room and get ready.

When we're all ready, we'll head to the bus stop and wait for the DHS bus. Okay...we still call it MGM! So if I accidently say that instead of DHS, forgive me and you'll know what I mean.

I love riding the buses and having the anticipation build up to get there and then you finally start seeing parts of the park. For DHS, it's seeing ToT that gets me excited.

We'll get off the bus and head over to the new billboards for TSM and the American Idol Experience. We always have to pose there.

Then Mom, Sis, and I will head through the line to get our bags checked while Dad and B/F zip on through the no bag entrance. Sometimes they'll act like they've been standing there waiting for us for forever.

We'll make our way into the park and decide what to do next. It all depends on what time we make it there because of our ADR time. It's evening EMH's at DHS, so we're there for the night.

We'll make it on one or two things, depending on wait times, then make our way over to Mama Melrose for our 4 pm ADR. Yes, that does seem a bit early, but it's all we could get and we really wanted to eat here. Besides, we planned the beginning half of the day around that, making sure we didn't eat a big lunch.

While eating at Mama Melrose, I'll think of Kristen (xoktnox) and Chris, who just ate there on their trip. We practically texted the whole meal. We'll also talk about our previous memories of MM..such as our waiter Kevin and Sis taking pictures in the bathroom.

After we're done eating, everything is up in the air. I know we'll want to do: Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, and the Great Movie Ride for sure. Everything else we'll see what we get in and what we don't, we'll get to our next DHS day.

I'm sure by the end of EMH's, we'll be pooped. The crowds will have thinned out, so we'll take some pics in front of the hat, which will be all lit up for the night.

Then, we'll make our way to our bus stop; along with all the other tired families. We'll hope our bus is the next one to go by, but it usually never is.

We'll get on the bus and make our way back to OKW. This is when OKW starts to feel like home again. So much that when we're at the parks and we say something like "are you guys ready to go home?" or "let's stop at home and change", we mean OKW. And that's when I know why I love WDW so much.

Question of the Day...

Today's question comes from jewels1916!

What is your favorite country to eat at in World Showcase and what do you order?

I love the bakery in France! The chocolate mousse and croissants are sooo good (I know, so adventurous!).

yayy I love getting shoutouts on peoples TRs! :goodvibes

I reallyyyyyy hope we can go to WDW together on spring break! I would loveeee to be spending one of these wonderful days with you and your B/F!

The only country we ate TS at so far in world showcase is Japan at Teppan Edo. I ordered the teryaki chicken and shrimp and chris got steak and chicken. We also stopped for a bratwurst in Germany though and loved it!!

Sounds like a wonderful day! Toy Story passes will probably be gone by the time you get there, though, if you're not going until the afternoon. You'll have to let us know if you get them or not when you text Kristen.

It does feel good to be able to call any Disney resort 'home' for a while, and especially one as nice as Old Key West!

I'll add one more month on to your countdown and say that two months from today will be the last night of church camp, and our flight leaves at 6:30 the next morning! :cool1:

Ooooh Japan sounds good!

Yeah, I was guessing fast passes will be gone for TSM too so we'll plan on doing that our other DHS day when we go earlier in the morning! I'll definately have Kristen update you guys on that!

OKW is so nice!

I'm so excited for your trip too!

1 month from today...

1 month from today will be June 25th. We'll wake up to the smell of Dad making coffee and get ready while mom makes us breakfast again.

We'll watch Stacey again while eating and then B/F and I will go out on the patio to put our shoes on and decide what we want to do for sure.

We'll head out to the bus stop and wait for the AK bus. I love the anticipation that builds up getting to AK. We usually have to drop people off and Blizzard Beach first, which makes the wait even longer! But, I love when you're getting closer to AK and you can see EE! I'll never forget the first time we saw EE as it was being built!

We'll get off at the bus stop and make our way to the entrance. Again, Mom, Sis, and I will go through the line to have our bags searched while Dad and B/F wait for us on the other side.

We'll take pics outside the entrance sign before making our way to the finger scanning. Once we make it inside, we'll speedwalk (ha) back to EE to get fast passes. If the line isn't too bad, we'll also jump in line.

We love asking for the way back on this one. It makes the ride so much faster and scarier! Also, when you're going up that steep incline at the beginning, if you turn around and look way off, you can see the Contemporary and some of Space Mountain in the distance!!

Then, who knows what we'll do. I know we will eventually do: Nemo the Musical, FOTLK, Safari, and Dinosaur. I really want to check out the trails and Rafiki's Planet Watch! Dad and B/F will probably want to do the Kali River Rapids.

We'll eat lunch sometime during the day at Pizzafari, our favorite CS place at AK.

We'll stay at AK and probably watch the parade since we haven't seen it in awhile if we have time.

Then, we'll either make our way back to OKW and swim/change or head straight to the MK..

Either way, when we head to the MK, we will either walk/ride the monorail over to the Contemporary for our 7:55 p.m. reservation at Chef Mickey's. This will be our first time ever in all our years going to WDW that we won't be eating at CM's on our first night. But, it was booked solid that night so we just have to take what we could get.

I'm sure Sis will videotape/take pictures of me swinging my napkin and singing along. I have fun! People at other tables look at me like "Why is that girl doing that?! She's too old to be doing that!" I don't care. I'm at WDW having the time of my life!

After we eat, we'll head back to OKW to do a night swim and just hang out because the next day we will want to get up early to make it back to DHS!

Question of the Day...

What is your most memorable experience meeting a character?

Man, reading these is making me soooo jealous but soooo excited that you'll be there in less than a month!

I can't wait to get to ride EE from the back row again, its the best :thumbsup2

My most memorable character experience is actually from when I was a kid as we didn't really meet too many characters this past trip. It was when I was 11 and in 6th grade and it was in AK by the Dig site. Too bad I can't remember what the name of the character was! He was some kind of monkey similar to Rafiki but I had a piece of my hair in one of those hair wrap things and he was pretending to eat it and he took my brothers baseball hat and put it on my head even though it was way too small. We have a picture of it and I'll never forget it. :wizard:

Haha, I'm sorry. You know you'll be getting texts/pics all the time.

The back is the best!

Haha, that sounds like a fun memory!

I've been trying to think of who this character could be...and I can't think of it! :headache:

What is your most memorable experience meeting a character?

I just remember on our first trip we were waiting to meet Pooh. My youngest sister was pretty little so she had her bottle. When we finally got to the front of the line Pooh started playing with her bottle like it was honey or something. He kept taking it from her. It was so cute!

I also remember meeting Daisy for the first time. It was on our trip in 2005 I think. In all our previous trips we had NEVER seen her except for in parades, so it was pretty cool to finally see her!

Was it the monkey from Jungle Book (King Louie?)? Or Terk from Tarzan? :scratchin

Ooooooooh it could be one of those!

Um...so you used 2 of my questions and I missed them both?? Ha ha!

Ok...
What holiday would I go to WDW and why?
Well....check out my ticker! Ha ha. Christmas is when I want to go! Although...I also want to go on Valentine's Day, the Fourth of July, and St. Patrick's Day. :)

What or who would I be if I was a CM?
Ok, so I have forever wanted to be Ariel in Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Ever since the first time I saw it, that was what I wanted to be when I grew up. Secretly (or not so secretly, ha!) I still do. If I wasn't doing that, I would love to be a dancer in one of the parades, or shows.

My favorite restaurant in WS?
It's probably Nine Dragons. I loved Le Cellier, but I especially love the General Tso's Chicken at Nine Dragons!! :)

Did I get all the questions that I missed? I hope so!

Ok, I posted this, now I am editing, cause I see I missed a question...
What is my most memorable character experience?
The Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. I met her when I was there with my dance team my junior year of high school. She was very funny, and we kept saying "Off with their heads!" to everyone for the rest of the day that day!

A question for you...
If you could design a new stage show for either the AK theatre (where Nemo is) or the DHS theatre (where Beauty and the Beast is) what Disney movie would you want to see?

Haha, a lot of people seem to be gone these past few days!

Haha, yes your ticker!

It'd be fun being Ariel!

Ooooh B/F loves General Tso's Chicken!

My answer to your question: I would love to see Peter Pan! Haha, I bet you already guessed that one...Or Cinderella!

Hi, just wanted to say I love your "a month from now" reports.

I can picture it. Sounds like fun.

You will have the best time going with B/F again. :goodvibes

I'll try not to be too jealous of the sandals....never did find them. :confused3
