~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

Have not done this ride. I was sick in Disney for my first time there so I didn't get to do the rides just shows.

I have not been on KRR in a long time lol! I like it, just have not been in the mood to get soaked lol!

Same here. I just have grown out of liking it. My dad and B/F go on it together though. Mom, sis, and I stand on the bridge pushing the buttons to squirt people as they come back to the loading dock.

Just wanted to let you know I am reading along, just not playing along. :lmao:

Hi. I've been reading your PTR, kinda lurking in the background. Wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I was also wondering if I can borrow some of the stuff from you PTR to put in mine, like the memories of rides thing and your favorite rides and shows. Do you mind? Thanks! I have to say that I love all of the shirts you've gotten they are so cute! Oh and since I've missed quite a few rides let me see if I can catch up a little (I'll only do ones that I can remember a really distinct memory):

Soarin': It isn't really a ride about Soarin' but it's about it, so I'm taking my dbf this year to disney and it's his first time and I keep telling him about the rides and I told him about soarin' and how you can smell the ocean and the orange trees and he just gives me a weird look and I suddenly remember, he has no sense of smell!!! Oh dear (and believe me I do it often, it's so easy to forget!)

Backlot Tour: Everytime I ride backlot tour I make sure I sit on the "dry" side because I hate walking around wet and will avoid it if possible and everytime my family tries to trick me into getting into the tram first (hasn't happened yet!)

Buzz Lightyear: This is my favorite memory I think of any ride. One year we took my grandma with us and we went on Buzz Lightyear, well it's always a competition between all of us and my grandmother had no idea what was going on. I don't even think she completely understood the ride. Now my brother or my dad usually wins and I usually loose so I want anyone else besides those two to win and wouldn't you know at the end of the ride we look at each other's scores and my grandma got the max!!! Ya know the like 999,999 points, ooo I rubbed that in both their faces for the rest of the day, come to think about it I still rub it in their faces and that was like 9 years ago.

Expedition Everest: No memory just one of my favorite rides!

Carousel of Progress: I love this ride, my family hates it. So when I say lets go on it they always say ok so it's time for my nap then!

Test Track: On our last trip we were on test track and everything was going ok till we got to the part where you zoom out around the track and then things started going badly. We started to go a little faster and then just as we were getting to the big loop where you're practically sideways it slowed down and I mean a lot so here we are on the loop practically not moving. Well did you know that beneath that area there's a parking lot for cast members? We do! Some of them were there and they were yelling at us and asking if we were having fun and to hold on cause we were going so fast! It was funny and we had a good laugh about it. They did give us a free ride to go on again.

Fantasmic!: Love this show, I almost cry every single time!

The Haunted Mansion: I will only go on this with my dad. I don't know why. I guess it's cause when we first started going I always ended up going on with my dad and now it's become sort of a tradition and I refuse to go on it with either my mom or brother! I'm such a daddy's girl though so maybe that's why. Oh and he's the only one that will put up with me reciting the lines throughout the entire thing too! hehe

Ellen: When my brother and I were little we HAD to go on this ride because my brother was really really really into dinosaurs and we HAD to see them!

The Great Movie Ride: I hate the alien part, I hate the alien that comes out over your head and I will schooch down in my seat during it. (Yes to this day I still do it!)

Nemo: On our last trip we went to see this and in the beginning when you can see Nemo in the bubbles (right before the show starts) well there were a lot of kids in the show (duh of course) and everytime they saw Nemo they would yell "Nemo, nemo!" and I mean every time and we were there a good 20 minutes for the show to start so for the next 20 minutes all we heard was "nemo!"

One Man's Dream: I love this attraction, def. one of the best overlooked attractions!

Toy Story Mania: We went on this first thing in the morning when we went last summer we had a great time and when we walked off we were greated by some cast members who had special gifts for us...Dream Fastpassess!!! It was great cause it was close to the end of our trip and we were so excited!!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid: We always make fun of my brother on this one. He doesn't really like it but I like it so we go on it when we have a chance and we always tell him "Hey it's time to go see your favorite show! We know how much you love it!" He just rolls his eyes and smiles because he knows we'll never let it go.

Space Mt.: Not really a specific memory just that this is by far one of my mom's favorite rides, I think because it's a classic.

The People Mover: don't really have a specific memory of this but it is one we MUST go on each year I love it too! Oh and yes we still call it the people mover and we will always call it the people mover!

Since this post is so long I broke it into two. Sorry. I can't wait to hear more about your plans (and your shopping!)

Star Tours: My mom as the ride is starting always has to say "I've always wanted to do this!"

Mission Space: One summer they were having a soft opening for mission space and we rode it 11 times in a row! It was great!

Stitch: I hated stitch, I thought it was silly and let me tell you my dad and brother are really mad they took away alien encounter. I could care less that ride scared the $@#^ out of me. I went on twice and I would never go again. I just went for the preshow because I thought skippy was so cute!

It's Tough to be a bug: I always sit forward during the hornet attack because I hate that feeling in my back (not to mention I have an extreme phobia about bees/wasps/hornets) I also hold myself up at the end when the bugs are "exiting". hehe I'm such a baby.

Teacups: One time on the teacups my mom, brother, and I got to ride with Tweedle dum. It was so much fun!

The Judge's Tent: Ahh I remember when they had the villian room. I loved that room!

The WDW Railroad: I just remember when my brother and I were young my brother fell asleep on my grandma's shoulder, it was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Gran Fiesta Tour: My mom's friend visits us when we go on our trips cause she lives in Tampa and we used to always sing that song at the end of the old ride ya know that really annoying one that played over and over again? Well we were very disapointed that it wasn't in the new ride so we sing it now at the end to keep the memory alive.

RnRC: LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. That's all I have to say about that.

Honey I Shrunk the Audience: I hate this show. For years I would go on it and sit with my feet on the seat so I didn't have to feel the "mice" and I would endur the mockery from my family. Last summer I thought, why the heck am I torturing myself with this show? So finally I got some sense and didn't go on it and I prob. will never go on it again. Now all I have to endur is the mockery.

Imagination: I miss the old show, nothing was better than the original one. I love Figment!

Indiana Jones: My mom got picked twice to be in the show. She's such a goofball, it was great to watch!

Hey! I'm so glad you de-lurked yourself! Sure, go ahead and use them! When are you going to WDW?!

Thanks for playing catch up. I'm not going to comment on them all, but I promise I read them! :)

Attraction of the Day...

Astro Orbiter

Okay, this ride is cool ONCE you get to the top. I HATE riding in that elevator! They cram as many people as they can seriously. It was horrible. B/F and I went on it 2 trips ago, and it had been my first time back on it in awhile. The view from up there is amazing, but I do have to admit, I felt like I was going to fall out the whole time! I made B/F hang on to me.

I'm going Aug. 9-15 with my dbf. It's his first trip. Please don't comment on all of them, that would be far too much work for you and quite ok. Just gotta say I agree completely with astro orbiter. I've only been on it once and that was enough for me. Too many people in the elevator and I feel like I'm going to fall out.

That will be so much fun. I know I loved showing B/F everything his first time! Have you ever noticed how long the astro orbiter line gets?!
