DAY FIVE - Wed. 7/19/06

Woke up at 7:30 am thanks to the maintenance guy using his leaf blower outside. Don’t these people know about EMH nights?

Headed to MK today, as I didn’t feel like I’d gotten a true start to my vacation with our MK visit on Saturday, so I had to get back there to get the Disney “feel”. I just love that feeling you get when you walk in the park and see Main Street. Whether its your first time, or your fiftieth, you just get that warm fuzzy feeling in your stomach. :cloud9: There’s just nothing else like it and I needed it this morning.

After we strolled our way down Main Street, and watched the Barber Shop Quartet for a minute, we ran over to Tomorrowland and got FPs for SM. We then stood in what was supposed to be about a 20 minute line for Stitch...seemed like much longer...especially considering that this is a pretty lame attraction. Did the People Mover (or whatever its called now)....it’s a must do for us...go figure, then got FPs for Buzz, and headed back to do SM...I still love this ride. We went back to Buzz with our FPs, but the ride had broken down and the line was ridiculous. We were hungry, and took a chance on getting into the Plaza (we were supposed to eat there on Sunday, but missed that ADR due to my hospital thingie  ). Got in with only a 5 minute wait and very much enjoyed our lunch...those milkshakes are scrumptious. Headed back to do Buzz, then it was off to Typhoon Lagoon.

TL was packed, but we did quite a few things, spent a lot of time in the Lagoon...love that wave action....lounged a bit, then it was back to Pop for rest and showers. We decided to just grab dinner in the Food Court and headed to MGM for EMH night. The lines for ToT and RRC were really long....hello Brazillian tour groups :crowded: . We did ToT with about a 20 minute wait while everyone was in the last Fantasmic show of the evening. The rest of my crew insisted on doing Indiana Jones.....why...oh why....we’ve done it a zillion times :confused3 ....but I’m a trooper and went along. I must admit it was pretty cool seeing it done at night. Don’t ever tell my DH that I admitted to that...I’ll deny it :rolleyes1 ...despite the fact that its right here in plain view. DH and DDs (who are all Star Wars nuts :darth: :yoda: :ewok: ) went on ST, while I sat on a bench and enjoyed a Mickey bar and listened to a band :rockband: ....true Disney magic....relaxing with a Mickey Bar and just people watching. We never did get back on RRC due to the lines. MGM really has a traffic bottleneck problem over by ToT and RRC. They really need to put another big, fast attraction on the other side of the park to help with crowd problems. We walked around a bit, and I wanted to shop a little, but most of the shops were closed  . In my humble opinion, if you’re going to have the parks open late, the shops should also be open. Can’t believe Disney misses this opportunity for us to spend our cash.

Back to our trusty little haven at Pop for some much needed rest.

Okey we have to admit to doing Indiana Jones a few dozen times. We were there in May and had to do it a few times too......I wish they would do another scene that was as powerful as these scenes were....Oh well...
thanks for your report and I too love TYphoon Lagoon....just lazing in the Lazy River is my kind of day........thanks again

Oh yes - the lazy river....ahhhh....wish I were there right now :teleport:

I agree about the shops being open late - we did venture a trip finally in 1997 and missed out on shopping because there were too many in our group it seemed. Hopefully get to go soon again (have high hopes for next month).

I heard it is hard to find resturants open to with late nights.

Yeah, I truly don't understand Disney's thinking in closing shops/restaurants during EMH. Many nights we weren't getting to the parks until 7 or 8 pm and staying pretty late...you'd think they'd know we want to eat!!!
