Day One - Arrival
We woke up at 3:00am, left for the Airport at about 4:00, stopped for coffee and cherry sticks at Timmy Ho's 24-hr drive thru (If you don't know Tim Hortons I feel sorry for you) got to the Buffalo Airport in about 35 minutes, parked in the long term parking and before we got out of our car the parking shuttle was parked behind us, as I got the luggage out of the trunk the driver was picking it up and putting it on the shuttle for us, as we boarded the shuttle I couldn't believe it, the sign at the front of the bus said: Your Drivers Name is Mickey, thats right MICKEY ::MickeyMo !!!
We checked in our luggage quickly, when the girl at the check in counter saw we were going to Florida she said "Florida, nice." My thoughts exactly, being it was like 20 degrees out, then when she saw our ME tags she got a big smile on her face "Oh, Disney World, your gonna have a great time." We then proceded thru security, this is my first time flying since 9/11, I had to take off my shoes and belt, but there were no problems. We got to our gate and waited and got on our plane. As we boarded the girl who checked our luggage we at the boarding desk and said, "There's my Disney people, have a great trip!" and our flight left right on time at 6:15 am.
We had a stop for an hour in Atlanta and got to Orlando about 10 minutes early.
No problems at all with ME, was very satisfied, we flew AirTran, my recomendation is though fly in on a participating airline and you can check in for your return flight at your resort.
We went to the ME welcome center (the counter where you check in before you get on your bus), then we were directed to the line to stand in for the bus going to the Pop Century we waited about 20 minutes, it would have been less time but they were waiting for a bus that a girl in a wheel chair could accomodate, I did not mind the wait, it was nice to see how assisting the CMs there were for her and her family. We got on the bus and had a short ride to the Pop Century. It was only about 12:00 noon so I thought we would have to put our bags in luggage assistance untill we could check in but we were able to go to our room right away. We also got exacty what we requested, 70's building and King size bed, we also had a refridgerator in our room that we did not have to pay for, that we didn't use either.
We went right to Epcot for lunch, we wanted to do Soarin' right away but there was an 80 minute wait and the fast pass return time was for like 5:00 already since we were so hungry we at right there in the Land at Sunshine Seasons, we had never planned to eat there and we are so glad we decided to, It was so good (I'm not going to go into much detail about food in this report, check the resturant board soon for my Dinning Plan Report) I recomend going there for a CS meal, we ended up going back at the end of the week. We did do Mission Space, I did Test Track but the DW was too sick from Mission Space and sat it out, I had planned to go to Epcot this day because thanks to the DIS I knew Test Trak would be closed the rest of the week, glad I rode it was great, I heard quite a few people too the rest of the week saying they were disapointed it was closed but in my head I was thinking, . We Just checked out Inoventions for a while and took the monorail to the Poly for Dinner at Ohana. After a great dinner, and what we plan to be our first night tradition from now on we headed over to MK.
The walk up Main Street, ahhhh :cloud9: :wizard:
We did Stitch, which I liked alot, not as scary as Alien Encounter but I think Stitch fits in better for Disney. The smell was gross by the way but not as bad as I thought. We then did COP... "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day." :rolleyes1
We were tired and headed back to our room, our luggage was waiting for us from ME. We were off to sleep to rest for our next day at MGM.
More comming soon.....

Can't wait to read more. And you have gotten my interest up, what is Tim Horton's? Cherry sticks sound like a good thing!

Tim Horton's is a coffee and doughnut place in Canada that in the last few years have been springing up all over western NY. We have them here in the Niagara Falls/Buffalo area being so close to Canada, I don't know how much they are spread out in the USA though. Their coffee is great. I don't like their doughnuts much except for their cherry sticks, it is a cherry doughnut "stick", , they are great! If you ever encounter a Tim's grab a cup of coffee and a cherry stick.

Day One -Something I Forgot

When we were in Epcot and we saw Club Cool I told my wife, "Oh we gotta go there, there is this drink called Beverly that everyone on the DIS says is the best thing they ever tasted! We gotta try it!" So we went in and we grabbed cups and I let her get the Beverly ahead of me and just watched her face :scared: :crazy2: , :rotfl: :rotfl2: I wish I had the camera out! It was so funny, I tryed it too after her, :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:
it was disgusting. My favorite was the one from Israel.

Well, maybe someday Tim Hortons will come south to Colorado so I can try a cherry stick. Very funny story about the Beverly, my son did the same thing to his grandpa earlier this month! I agree the Israel drink is pretty good. Enjoying your reports, can't wait to read more. :flower:

AWESOME!! I love reading everyone's TRIP reports!! Waiting to read MORE!!!! :flower:

ok - I give up - What is a "Beverly"? I remember somewhere reading about it on the Boards but it slips my mind. (or should I just wait and sample one on my next trip? :confused3 )

The cherry sticks sound yummy - need Tim Horton's to come further south (would be a great franchise investment in our area

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

At Club Cool in Epcot they have different soft drinks from different countries. Beverly is the one from Italy and it is gross! They are all Coke products of corse and the samples are free, another day we were in Epcot we we thinking about stopping to get a drink somewhere cause we we thirsty and then I realized Club cool was there, the cups are little but you can have as much as you like, it was perfect and hit the spot.
P.S.
Don't worry, day two comming soon.

I was just talking to the people I work with about if they knew how far Tim Horton's is throughout the US and someone said they are probably in MI being a border state like us. So are you near Detroit?

We tried out the beverages at Club Cool last Friday and only my oldest son (age 8) and I tried the Beverly one. We agreed it was the worst one and couldn't persuade my husband or 4 year old to even try it after they saw our reaction. We liked the ones from Israel (kind of like Sprite) and China (watermellon) the best. I remember reading that they thought the Beverly one helped out with appetite...I figured the only possible way would be to make someone vomit and therefore make them hungry.
I felt sick for a while after drinking it myself.

I live just North of Ann Arbor and 45 minutes West of Detroit. I always make a stop when I see Tim!!!! lol

They just got done rehabbing the place. Why? everyone that tried Beverly spit it out and the floor was one big sticky mess.

When we were at Club Cool, the CM there explained the problem with the Beverly is that everyone gulps it down - you're supposed to sip it slowly. Did it make it good? No, but it did make it less disgusting :earboy2:

Nothing like a Timmies and a trip report on a cold January night in Canada!

I'm really enjoying your report!
So much so that I'm going to recommend that you try my favourite Tim Hortons treat; Timbits. (Donut holes to the non-Canadians out there). These are loved by my fellow cubical-dwellers for their easy portability and because you have an excuse to keep going back for more....thereby avoiding actual work. Bring a box of these in to your office and be a hero for a day. If you can get a mixed pack with some of the coveted Cruller Timbits, you may be even be nominated for employee the month.
