Well with our holiday just round the corner :cool1: I thought I had better get our park itinerary finalised. So here it is, please tell me if it looks ok!

Saturday May 31st - Arrive in Orlando around 14:30, pick up transfers to hotel then have a look round the area and find somewhere to eat.

Sunday June 1st - Animal Kingdom, dinner at Rainforest Cafe.

Monday June 2nd - Typhoon Lagoon, lunch/dinner at Downtown Disney. Magic Kingdom in the evening for Wishes and Spectro

Tuesday June 3rd - Busch Gardens, dinner on I-Drive.

Wednesday June 4th - Rest in the morning, shopping, lunch/dinner on I-Drive.

Thursday June 5th - MGM Studios

Friday June 6th - Universal Studios, dinner at City Walk.

Saturday June 7th - Discovery Cove!

Sunday June 8th - Rest Day, shopping.

Monday June 9th - Sea World, Dine with Shamu for lunch.

Tuesday June 10th - Aquatica, lunch/dinner on I-Drive.

Wednesday June 11th - Magic Kingdom

Thursday June 12th - Islands of Adventure, dinner at City Walk.

Friday June 13th - Epcot

Saturday June 14th - Shopping and lunch on I-Drive. Transfer back to airport 1pm, fly home :sad2:

We haven't made any meal reservations as we like to decide where to eat on the day and at the parks we are happy to eat counter service.

For restaurants such as Rainforest, Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock will it be ok to make reservations on the day? We dont mind eating lunch and dinner at off-peak times!

Not long now! :yay: :yay: :yay:

It looks good, have you been before? The only possible change I would make is that due to the time difference waking you up really early I would do a park on the second day instead of a waterpark to take full advantage of it. :goodvibes

That was something I thought about but as we are going to two watherparks I really wanted to hit them as early in the week as possible to avoid the crowds :)

Oh and its my second time (last time was July 2000!) but it's my GF's first time!

Looks like a good plan to me, just don't be afraid to be flexible and change once you get out there.

If its your GFs first trip will she not want to see MK in the day and do some of the rides on her first visit?
I just know we like to spend a full day at MK our first visit there on that trip, makes it more magic somehow?

It might seem that the fireworks and the parade are all the park has to offer to her if thats what she see's first :confused3 Although they are amazing!!! they are even more magic if you've been wrapped up in that magic all day.

Other than that good plan, just don't push her to see everything on this trip as she might feel rushed? My aunty did this to her BF on his first trip and he ended up totally tuning out and not absorbing any of it as he was so tired and didn't get to re-visit things he wanted too as my aunty wouldn't let him.

HAVE A GREAT TRIP!! :goodvibes

MK closes at 7pm on 4th June for a Pirates and Princesses Party, so there'll be no Wishes or Spectro that night.

I always avoid shopping at weekends. All the malls are so much quieter during the week.

I would only do a half day at the waterparks, then go shopping or something in the afternoon.

Typical! Thanks for pointing that out Debbie. I will change our evening at MK to the Monday (2nd June). The pirates of the carribian ride shuts for refurb after the 4th so we really want to go on that!

Yeah thats what we will be doing, prob leave the water parks 1-2 pm.

Thanks for your replies so far peeps! :thumbsup2

Simon looks ok,just remain flexible, like others we like to do MK first-sort of like a special start to the holiday. As far as your Busch day goes might be worth eating your Dinner there,it's a 2 hour drive so by the time you get back up,you don't always feel like eating (or possibly a take-away?).
SD:thumbsup2

Simon before I forget also if you are going to revisit any of the WDW parks for a 2nd time I would avoid your second weekend-this is likely to be "Gay Day" so the WDW parks will be really busy.

I think we will have lunch at one of the counter services at Busch and like you say just have a take away that evening.

Yeah we are aware of "Gay Days" and will prob avoid disney that weekend, that s why I put Discovery cove on the saturday. We might go to Gatorland on the sunday, is it any good there?

Gatorland when we last went was fine, small park with lots of gators and takes a couple of hours. Why not visit Islands of Adventure?

Your plan looks fine and if memory serves me right you are going on all the quiet days. I would check that you have not picked any early morning/late evening hours for Disney though just to be on the safe time.

As it is your GF's first time I suggest getting to the parks early and doing as many of the rides as you can.

We had no problem making a reservation at Rainforest in August at Animal Kingdom when we had gone through the gates in the morning. Unfortunately, it poured down that day so we choose to have the meal earlier and just walked in and got sat down straight away.

Hard Rock we didn't fancy at all because the music was extremely loud and it was very busy. They have someone outside who takes your name and tells you what time you can have a meal.

If you go to Islands, the Mythos Restaurant was lovely and it has won loads of awards for best Theme Park restaurant.

Gay Days are scheduled for 5th-8th this year and, from what I've read, it's only the designated park on any given day that tends to be impacted in terms of crowd levels:

5th - AK
6th - DHS
7th - MK
8th - Epcot

We should be fine with days we have chosen for disney as I have purchased a tour planner from TGM! :)

2hrs, it takes us about an 1hr to get to Busch 1hr30 max!

we still go out for a meal after Busch

Last 2 times to Busch, it took us 3 and 3 1/2 hours to get back due to traffic accidents on I4. Was'nt back at hotel till after 9pm.

Good choice for your first day. We always go to AK on our first day. We find it the most stress free park and a good way to ease into your holiday. Because it closes earliest of all the parks, it gives you the chance to go and have a nice meal early evening and then depending on how tired you feel, either chill out for the rest of the evening or go and enjoy a couple of hours at the other parks and take in some fireworks.

Friday June 6th - Universal Studios, dinner at City Walk

See you there!
