Our honeymoon trip to Orlando! (Updated 7/10, Day 14&15; going home...THE END!)

What a great PTR! A honeymoon trip

I can't wait to read all about it (and all the good stuff leading up to it ;)).

And I would NEVER have guessed that English isn't your first language. You write beautifully! :)

Thanks for joining my PTR! And thank you for the compliment on my English! :)

Only 86 days to go now and only 35 days untill my trip to Disneyland Paris (Gerbert isn't coming along on that trip, it's just me and some family!). It's all getting so close! :woohoo:

My Disney tickets arrived last week, one is the same as one we had last year.. I was hoping that wouldn't happen!

I also ordered some cool shirts, including one for the Pirate & Princess Party we hope to visit. I can't believe Disney still hasn't released those dates though!

And we're still busy planning everything for our wedding day! Only 82 days to go for that day... :cloud9:

Hi!

I saw your post on ChevyNat's thread, I had forgotten about it to tell the truth, I know I was subscribed before we went to Disney World!!!

Anyway, I'm back and I'm going to catch up:)

I can't believe it's getting so close!!! How exciting!:goodvibes

I've re-read your itinerary and again Wow, you will have a blast! You are so lucky to go to Disneyland Paris... I wonder if it's all in French? :confused3 I could do that, since I talk French, it's my first language ha! ha! Well my Mom is French and my Dad English...how they understood each other when they met is a mystery... the language of LOVE, I guess :rotfl: But I did my studies all in French.

It's funny how a place is familiar and comforting to those who live there and exotic to others.

What you didn't say is that you live in a truly beautiful part of Europe and are so close to Paris and Amsterdam that you can practically do day trips. Even more alluring is that you are so close to the chocolate shops in Brugges and Brussels. Now THOSE are magical places.

I'm glad you like Disney, though. Have you thought of seeing more of the USA?

My itinerary has changed since the P&PP isn't going to be on april 29, but on may 2, but I haven't updated it here... it's still almost the same though :)

Disneyland Paris is a lot of fun. Many things there are in French, but they're trying to do more in English, because most of their guests don't understand French. :rotfl: My French is good enough for understanding the signs, but not the shows... Most of the newer attractions are both in English and French.

Only 25 days to go for that trip! It will be my tenth trip to DLRP! :)

I love my country and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I live a one hour drive from Amsterdam, a five hour drive from Paris and a six hour drive from my favorite European city; Berlin!

But you are right, all these things are familiar to me. the USA is more exotic for me :)

I've seen more of the USA. I've made a round trip in 2006 and visited New York, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, L.A., San Francisco, Las Vegas and all the well known national parks. I loved that trip!
We were planning on visiting the northwestern part of the US in 2009, but since we are buying a house, we won't have the money to do that. But maybe it will happen someday anyway... there is lots more I want to see in the USA! :)

Wow, your 10th time to Disneyland Paris, you should post a few pics of the park, I would love to see it.

Hi!

Great to find you here too, and to see you are going to do this. :)
I still don't know if I am going to try it too, a trip report in English ( I will be there also, the same time as Marjol ;) ), but I will think about it. Great beginning of this report!

(Oops, edit... I was typing too quick ;) )

Hi! Great to have you "on board"!
I really hope you'll write a trip report too, I love comparing notes with people that go in the same time of the year! :)

The castmember BF spoke to about our P&P party tickets, told him those tickets couldn't be sent to international adresses. I know they can, but BF didn't, so he agreed. We'll have to pick up those tickets now, which is not a huge problem, but a small inconvenience ;)

Only 76 days to go now... and only 25 days for Disneyland Paris! :cheer2:

Seems like we spent the last 2 days in the same parks, we are also going to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios then. :)
Ok, I followed your advice, and started a pre trip report my self. ;)
we are going to the Princess and Pirates party 9 May. Our TA arranged we get the tickets at home, hopefully we will get them soon.

we definitely have to look for each other during the P&PP on friday night! are you guys dressing up? we probably won't. ray isn't much for costumes and i don't want to do it alone! i think i'm gonna buy pirate mickey ears, though! pirate:

by the way, i think you can pick up your P&PP tickets at any guest services, even at parks other than MK. someone mentioned it on my TR and i'm waiting to hear back from her as to whether that's right or not. i'll let you know what i find out. it would probably save you guys time since you could stop by a guest services in AK or epcot instead of getting them at MK the night of the party when everyone else is getting theirs!

I think April is going to be this year's best kept secret. Easter is so early and all our colleges have spring break the week before Easter. By the end of April everyone is going to be done with Spring Break and you are leaving before the people that declare May as the best time to go.

And, shame on me, I really thought the Netherlands and Finland were the same country. As I say, you always learn something new on the DIS. We had a foreign exchange student when my kids were in highschool from Finland. We keep in touch and I knew she lived near the artic circle. Thanks for the geography lesson today.

Great! I'll take a look at your pre-TR after I finish this message ;)

I bought a nice t shirt on cafepress.com, with a pirate-princess on it. I'm waiting for it to arrive... I ordered it about one and a half week ago. Gerbert definately won't dress up... :)

That would be great! I really hope that is true! :)

Finland is very different from the Netherlands... much colder. We have a very boring climate here.. not too cold in the winter and not too hot in the summer. Finland has very cold winters...! :) But you're welcome for the geography lesson :rotfl: As a teacher, I'm always glad to help! :rotfl:

I happy to see that you got your PPP tickets... You have quite a trip planned, wow!! You will have such a great time.
We have at least one day at the same park, DH.

DBF contacted Disneyworld today and this castmember changed our P&PP reservation; they are sending us the tickets now! :thumbsup2
