Our Homemade Minnie Cake! (Look!) ** Added a few party pics now

Wow. :thumbsup2 I totally did not expect what you made. I am so impressed - congrats - it looks great! I too would order one if you lived by me. I love to bake, but I don't have enough patience for something like that!

OMG that's amazing!!:thumbsup2 Good job on doing this yourself, I definitely wouldn't have even attempted to try fondant. I expected to see a single layer cake shaped like Minnie's head, not that it would be bad, I would have been impressed with that toob. This really is beautiful!

This is budget related because I didn't break down and pay someone to do this cake we found online! My sister and I made it tonight, took a long time, but I love it! It's for my DD's 2nd bday party tomorrow

OMG!!! That is the cutest cake ever!! I don't think I would want anyone to cut into it. :lmao:

I absolutely love it. I am watching Cake Challenge on Food network right now.. and I have to say, that I love yours better! Great job! I would be so proud to have made such a beautiful cake, and it was so creative too! WOW!:thumbsup2:hippie:

OMGoodness the party pics are AWESOME! You're little DD is soooo cute! The party pics are soooo great! You have given me inspiration to try a mickey one myself for DS 3rd party!

Oh, Emma's too cute! And it looks like you went all-out for her party ... whatta mom! :goodvibes

My favorite picture is the one on her bike -- that's just adorable!

Love the cake, You are quite artistic, how did you make the icing like that? Any special instructions?? We are heading to Disney for my DD 9th birthday in Sept but before we leave we are having a party with my family and DH who isn't able to come....this cake would be a great build up towards our trip!

Great pictures and what a cute cake!! I wish I would just think about trying something like that.. DGD is turning 3 this year, so I just may have to try it..

I went to a local mold shop and just made them myself using the Wilton melting chocolates from Michael's. They are super easy! I tried to do different colors for eyes, etc. but I am so ridiculously messy at that, so I just did the one color.
