Dress update: The white layer is attached and actually hanging ok! I just finished pinning ribbon to the bottom. I have to buy more of the hemming stuff that you iron on. That's how I am attaching stuff because I don't have a sewing machine. I think it's going pretty well so far

I'm very excited because 2 weeks from now I will be sleeping in my room at Pop Century!!!

I made the mistake for looking at the 15 day forcast and they are predicting a weather cool down and rain the day we get there It's been so unusually cold here the last two weeks (we even had flurries yesterday ) I really hope we have warm weather when we go. I know 15 day forcasts are not reliable at all - so I'm holding on to that. Whatever happens - I have ponchos - so we will be fine.

just playing catch-up! no worries on the weather - just put a poncho on and keep going. oh, a good idea is to bring gallon ziploc bags with you. that way if you use a poncho for a quick thunderstorm you can throw them in the ziploc bag and not get everything in your bag wet. you can also use your ponchos more than once this way. those ziploc bags also come in handy to keep cameras and autograph books dry on wet rides.

I re-checked the forcast - now they changed it back to 80's I'm sure it will change back and forth a few times.

So I had good Disney karma at the dentist today. I had to get a filling replaced and the hygenist is leaving for Disney on Saturday. Her son is there on the CP and works Rock n Rollercoaster. We talked Disney the whole time

My latest stress is the flu. It is rampant around here right now. I just got an email that they are closing the highschool in our district due to a 41% absence rate The school Maddie goes to isn't that bad right now, but I'm worried it will trickle down and hit us just at the wrong time I am just trying to make sure Maddie gets lots of rest and washes her hands a lot.

If you can get a hold of Tamiflu and there's another one I can't remember, it would help you out. I know people who took the Tamiflu immediately did not suffer as much or as long. Can you only get it if you already have symptoms? I'm not sure.

Yeah - I think you have to have symptoms or at least have someone diagnosed in your family. We are all healthy right now, I just keep praying it stays that way.

i would get some airborne things to put in your water and drink. i took those when i went to NYC last spring because it was supposed to be getting bad there. i think i was just being paranoid but it couldn't hurt!

I've been taking airbourne everyday for a few weeks now Problem is Doug doesn't believe in it and Maddie doesn't like the kids packets. I do give her extra vitamin C though and we are making sure to get her enough sleep.

My friend's DD's preschool closed for the week bc 3 of their teachers tested positive for H1N1. It's crazy how it was gone out of control!! I'm always telling my kids at school to wash their hands like crazy and now of course I have foam soap on the wood floor but better that than sick kids!!

Good luck with staying healthy before your vaca! I know this H1N1 is really running rampid everywhere. I work at a State school for men with disabilities and this year they are offering us the reg flu and a lil while later the swine flu one. I hope it all goes well for you! Your soooo close now.

I'll cross my fingers that everyone stays healthy for your trip. That's crazy about the high school...somebody I work with who has a daughter in high school said that the entire swim team was sick. They only had 6 girls at practice one day.
