Our Halloween Pop adventure with a 32 year old Disney Newbie -Trip report link pg. 34

My week is good! Well, my dad went to the hospital at 6 am today, because of an irregular heartbeat, but he's back home now, and is doing fine. He has a pacemaker for this reason, so no worries. :)

We've been getting some really steamy weather over here too - summery and humid! Great for my hair... :rolleyes2

So glad your Dad is ok - thank goodness for the pacemaker!

Sorry about the hair - I wish we would get summery and steamy for more than a day though.

So, I decided since we are eating at Park Fare for dinner with the Stepsisters and Stepmother, I wanted to try and recreate Cinderella's pink mouse dress. I talked it over with Maddie and she loved the idea. So I ordered this dress:

I ordered it from mydressupshop.com. This is our 3rd dress by this brand and they are really nice because they aren't itchy at all :thumbsup2

And I need to turn it into this:

And then try and get the accessories close:

The burgandy shoes threw me off - I never paid that close attention before :confused3 But I suppose Cinderella didn't have a closet full of shoes ;) We do have a plastic set of blue pearls though, so that's one thing down

Anyway, it should work, but the fact that I don't really sew could make things interesting :lmao: I will keep you updated on my progress with a few pictures, but will save the final project for my trip report :cool2:
The dress is too pretty! Well good luck with the sewing because I don't so either so I know exactly where your coming from! ;)

Wow! I'm glad your dad is ok! My Bosses wife was hospitalized for heart palpatations never had a problem before! I think it's this heat and humidity! It's crazy! Our weather has been High 80's Mid to low 90's and Very Very Humid!
Yeah - you have had the same weather as us. We were planning on going swimming Friday - now they are saying low 70's and rain :sad2:

I can't wait to start working on the dress!

I wish our weather was in the 70's! were in boot camp for the Florida heat! :rotfl:

Thanks - I need all the luck I can get :lmao:

It's been too windy and cool to do any swimming or other fun summer stuff, but I know lots of heat and humidity is almost as bad.

So I was just was reading Kathy's pre-trip report and she mentioned that daylight savings is on 10/31. That is totally in our favor since our flight leaves at 7:30am on 11/1 :scared1: That extra hour of sleep is going to come in handy!

I never, ever, noticed that either. I doubt anyone else would!

Fabulous idea... the stepsisters will really go wild!!

I'm excited about the movie too! I think we are going to try to take A. to the theater to see it since she did so well with UP!

I know! I so did not want to take that flight home, but eventually it was so cheap I couldn't turn it down

Same with us, then we added an extra night so we would have another full Disney day. I guess we didn't end up saving money after all...unless you do "Disney Math".

I just pre-ordered the Tiana doll on Amazon :thumbsup2 It's perfect since it opens on Maddie's birthday - we'll go to the movie then give her the doll :lovestruc

I like your Disney math! If I hadn't already gotten airfare when freedining came out, I'd add a night - I could kick myself for not going Sat-Sun.

Maddie's having a sleepover tonight with the neighbor girls here at our house - our first one :) So far so good - pizza, ice cream and now they are watching Wizard of Oz. They assured me they have all seen it before and they all really wanted to watch it. I'll have to update tomorrow!

Thanks ladies! It went well, they were asleep by 10:00pm but then a loud thunderstorm went through around 2:00am. Maddie and the older of the two sisters woke up, but the youngest didn't - LOL! They went right back to sleep though - so all was well. They even made me breakfast this morning :lovestruc

I know, I'm waiting a few weeks before starting that project, I'm a bit nervous!

I'm in!!! I can't wait to hear more!!!

:welcome: I love to chat, so the more the merrier! It looks like you were a FGMIT - how cool! Were you working at the castle in 2007? We did BBB at the castle then - we had Rhonda - she was great! We are going to try DTD this time around, just for something different. I can't wait!

I'm glad the sleepover went well! I can't wait for those days. :)

It did go well - at this age it's nice because they aren't wanting to stay up all night :scared1:

I just got a flier in the mail for my Disney Visa and in there it says that they are re-realeasing Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D Oct. 2nd :cool1: It's going to be sold as a double feature! We love Toy Story, but I never saw it in the theater - so this is exciting. It should be great in 3D also - though probably a pricey ticket - for Toy Story, I'm willing to spend it I think.
