Our great new call in sick system....

Now at my work, we call in sick to an 800# instead of our local office. So yesterday my daughter gets sick so I know I will have to stay home with her today. So last night I call the 800 # and all the lady asks me for was my social and what is my starting time. Well fast foward to this morning, my supervisor calls me up and asks me whats going on. I say my dd is sick. He says...well you didn't call in. AAAGGGHHHH!!!!!!I love all the money that is spent on implementing new systems that don't even work. Thanks for the vent!

Wow. It's amazing how dumb so companies policies and procedures can be...

We have a call in line here , but no one ever uses it. For the same reason....you still have to call your boss. They could have probably hired 8 new employees with the money spent on the call in system....
