Our grandson's first trip to WDW...(added video link-post 18)

...was every bit as magical as we had hoped it would be! The weather could have been warmer, but at least the sun was out most of the time. I just wanted to share a few of my favorite pics. I haven't gotten around to really looking at our photopass pictures, but from a quick glance, I think there may be some very good shots.

My daughter is also working on editing together a video piece of Carter's first visit, which I'll try to post when it's finished. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites!

First haircut! He did great and Michael (the barber) was fantastic with Carter!

I love this picture of Carter riding the rails at the Magic Kingdom. He looks so solemn and serious! The railroad was one of his favorite attractions at the MK.

Carter LOVED all the characters! The hard part was getting him to wait in line. He just wanted to rush right up and hug them. He was totally at ease with every character and eagerly hugged and kissed them all. In fact, he did this little thing where he would casually lean back against them. Funny!

He even loved Shamu at Sea World! He is holding Pluto in his hand. Pluto turned out to be Carter's favorite character, and I think we have some really good photopass pictures of the two of them.

We had a wonderful time! I was worried how Carter would do at the parks as far as napping and seeing the characters up close. Well, he took a good nap every day in his stroller and he was completely at ease with every character! He loved meeting Pluto at Epcot, and I think we rode the Nemo attraction four times in a row. It was one of Carter's favorites and there was never much of a wait.

I know, time flies! He will be 18 months in a few weeks! He did have the time of his life!

Here is another favorite pic of mine. This was taken at Sea World, and Carter just couldn't understand why he couldn't pick up any of the pebbles embedded in the cement. It really perplexed him!

Yes, our grandson absolutely fell in love with Pluto! He loves dogs in general, and Snoopy is also a favorite of his. Here are a couple more Pluto pics:

Carter was quite taken with Pluto's whiskers. I think we have some really good photopass pics of Carter with Pluto. I just haven't gotten around to picking the ones I want to order.

Okay, here is the video that my daughter put together. She took clips of our day at the Magic Kingdom and a day at Epcot. If you click on the More From:Megan10e to the right of the first video, you can also watch the full video of Carter's haircut.

My husband had to travel to Orlando for a business show at the convention center, and our daughter (she works part-time for her dad) went along to help out at the booth. I figured it would be a good time to introduce Carter to Disney World, so we went along, too. So, it was my husband, me, our older daughter, Megan, and her son (our grandson) Carter.

A few disclaimers:
I know it looks like we were constantly snacking, but honestly, we weren't. My daughter thought it was funny that we had just given Carter a cracker when the announcement came on about no drinks or food on the train. So, she then filmed bits of all of us snacking. Let me just say that we are not normally rule breakers and when the train started up, we put away the snacks. Honestly!

Keep in mind, my daughter put this together. If I had a hand in it, I would have eliminated about 90% of the shots with me in them. I've had better hair days.

Carter knows who the Beatles are (Gramma is a huge fan) and we thought he'd be really excited to see the British Invasion, but I think he knew those guys weren't the real Beatles. Although he did enjoy the show, he seemed a bit dubious.

These are the last pictures taken of my favorite LLBean jacket. It was stolen the next day, along with Carter's Disney blanket, at Sea World. Someone also took our stroller, but it was later found in a spot where another couple's stroller was taken.
