Hi, glad you're back!
Your poor DH, I suffer from UC too so know what he is gong through.
33 weeks? Wow! That sure is going fast, what's up with the sickness though? I hope it isn't too bad, but at least you only have seven weeks left until you meet your baby boy!!
Do you mind if I ask you a question? We don't know much about UC and have tried doing research on the internet about what he should he, what he shouldn't, etc and there is so much conflicting information out there. Is there some foods that you just can't have? Right now we are testing the waters with most food. For instance, he's never had a dairy allergy before all this, and hasn't had dairy, until recently, because he thought it would trigger that burning sensation that he gets. So we did a small glass of milk to see how he would feel, and he felt fine and has been eating dairy now for about 3 days with no issues. Did you find that you just had to test a few things out and see what worked for you and what didn't? Any advice would be MUCH appreciated since we don't know anyone else with this.
From what I heard, maybe it's just with some women, that they can get back their morning sickness in the third trimester that they once had in their first trimester.

Apparently, this is correct since i'm going through the same things that I was doing in the very beginning of my pregnancy, like not eating a lot, getting nauseous, going to bed early..
Oh my goodness, that's a tedious month for DH. Not a good birthday activity, but I'm glad they figured out what was going on.
Aren't you supposed to let other people spoil you rotten for your baby shower?

don't push yourself too much.
Hi Pam! My poor hubby. He'll always remember his 29th bday as getting poked
My SIL is throwing the shower for me, but if anyone knows me, they know that i'm a control freak, and have so many ideas for the shower that I must be involved if I want it to be the way I want it to be. But my SIL has been amazing, and this shower is going to be incredible. As awful as it sounds and I shouldn't even be comparing the two, I didn't get to do everything I had wanted to do for our wedding due to money, and feel like now, that it's not so much of a concern, I want to go all out.
Glad you've finally figured out what is going on. Sorry to hear he had to give up his football. Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Thank you so much!
Well at least you got some answers. So sorry he's feeling so awful. I'm sure he'll be happy to get this month overwith!
Good luck on the planning, and let the others take care of your bably shower. You need to be resting and enjoying yourself (well what is left that you can!) I imagine you're getting to the point of being ready to be done with it and pop that baby out!
He's SO ready to stop putting fluid up his butt every night, but he has gotten used to it. Poor thing. His doctor didn't tell him that he would be having to do these, so when I went to pick up his prescription, the pharmacist handed me a large bottle of pills and three large boxes, which I didn't know at the time, were the enemas. When I got home, I showed DH what I had picked up for him, saving the enemas for last. He was already defeated and drowsy and not feeling good from everything so I knew he wouldn't take it well. And sure enough, I told him what was in the boxes and what the instructions were, he actually put his head down on the island and cried.

I felt awful for him, that I started tearing up to. But luckily it will all be over soon..
I was telling Pam that my SIL is doing a tremendous job with my shower, but i'm a control freak and there are certain things I want done. I feel like I couldn't get everything I wanted from my wedding (I know, two separate occasions) due to money, so i want to go all out for this, since it's not so much of an issue now. AND if I'm only ALLOWED to have one baby shower, I want to make this amazing!
Sorry for my absence on here.....I'm so sorry you and your DH had to go through all that.....scary, but at least now you have answers.....might not be the ideal diagnosis.....but it's doable and not something far more serious.
I hope he continues to feel better and I hope you get some rest as you get closer to your due date.
YES! Thank the lord they didn't find cancer or something. Although this is something he's going to have to deal with for the rest of his life, it's managable, which is great!
I am glad your DH got some answers. I can't believe you are already 33 weeks. It goes so fast. I hope you update with how your shower went and post pictures.
Hi Gina! I know! 33 weeks is crazy! I'm hoping and praying he comes a little bit earlier than September 25th. A week earlier would be nice!
