It sounds like Christmas time is the best time to go! OMG :scared1: there is so much to plan for a WDW trip! How am I going to fit everything in?? Its really intimidating!! I am glad I am following now so I will be prepared in a few years! :rotfl:

I got my baby carrier YEARS ago and its survived through two babies and two trips to DL. We took DS (2) when he was 3 months and we let our friends borrow it and their daughter was about 7-9 months at the time. They said it was a lifesaver. The current one on the market is the Infantino Flip Front 2 Back Carrier. Its VERY reasonably priced.

Congratulations on the baby :cloud9: DVC and your trip!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!

My husband and I plan to take our daughter and my younger sister in 2014. DD will be almost 2 then. We are very excited! :cool1:

Joining in! We are also hoping to head to WDW in December. We haven't decided on dates but are leaning toward the first week. This will be our lo's second trip. We took him in Feb when he was 7 months old and had such a great time we are anxious to go back.

We also love to cruise. But have yet to try a Disney Cruise. It is definately on our to do list, especially when lo gets older. I had to laugh when you said DH is all about the food. My DH is the same way. Before our last trip I asked him what he was most excited about he said "All the food" go figure.

Everything I have seen online about MVMCP looks amazing. I doubt we will be able to go because we like to keep lo on his schedule as much as possible and I know anything past 8:30 would be very risky for a melt down. We just hope to see the fireworks or fantasmic this time because we had to skip them last trip.

All of your ADRs look great. I loved Sci Fi. Nothing beats having a shake as a drink...haha Loving your PTR so far!

DH's co-workers don't like that name. They keep asking, "Why are you naming him a 'White' persons name?" We're both Hispanic and he works in a highly Hispanic population so they're wondering why we're not naming him Juan or Jose. :headache: :lmao:

 Well..I like Calvin. It's different. There are so many Juan's and Jose's!

Your ADRs sound great!

We love Yachtsman Steakhouse, we went there on our anniversary in 2009 and it was fantastic!!!

I'm really looking forward to Yachtsman. I'm a huge steak girl and can't eat it the way I want to now, so I'm very much looking forward to my medium steak in December!

Delicious ADRs planned! If you ever have the chance 50's Prime Time is very fun and great food. I think your mom would probably enjoy Artist Point more than Jiko if she's not an adventuresome eater. Jiko puts a lot of different flavors together.

The decorations at the Poly were not enough for us to go back for. They don't have a grand setup like at the other deluxes, just a bunch of trees and garland scattered around the resort. But it suits the resort, anything more would probably look out of place.

DH and I were thinking the same thing about Jiko. We are disappointed though because Jiko is a tradition that we wanted to keep up on for every WDW trip.

That's what I figured. I never heard much about the Poly's decorations, but a Lapu Lapu is definitely in order since i've never had one. Shame on me! :sad2:

Your ADR's look great & what a nice offer from your mom to watch the baby so you can go to the MVMCP!!! I'm concerned about the twins (and the money we'll be paying for their tickets) but it's the only way we get to see the special parade & fireworks, etc.

I think she was excited to be watching the baby by herself (of course she says that now and the baby isn't even here yet :lmao:) but this will help determine if we would ever want to take him in the future and if it's worth the $.

If your mom will watch the baby, I'd go to MVMCP. I think it would be a lot of fun for you and your DH to have some time alone without the baby.

Your ADRs look yummy!

That's what I was thinking too. It would be a nice little 'date night' for us. Plus this would give us a chance to go on some of the bigger rides without having to worry about who's not going to be able to ride because of the baby :thumbsup2

Joining in!

We will be visiting WDW for our first Christmas visit this year as well :santa:

Welcome! Yay for first timers!

So are you planning to go to WDW in a few years?! It's hard to transition from DCL to WDW isn't it? After our Dream cruise, the only thing I could really think about was taking another cruise, and totally forgoing WDW.

You know what, I had seen the Infantino and it looked really good! But I hadn't heard anything about it yet, so I didn't really think about it, but i'll look into it now since you mentioned it. Thank you! :goodvibes

Awesome! So you have 2 years to plan. Hopefully my TR will help you out! :goodvibes

I'm so glad to hear that you had such a good experience with your child at 7 months. Always a relief to hear how much easier it is, especially for this first time mom.

If your DH loves food, he'll REALLY enjoy the cruises. After our first cruise, all I could think about was going on another cruise and didn't even consider WDW again, at least for a while. The cruises are ridiculously fun and so easy to plan for. Although I don't mind planning at all, it was nice to take a back seat. You must check out a cruise one of these days. Also, every kid I had seen on those cruises were having a BLAST!

Ah, the toddler schedule. Yet, another schedule I forgot about. I'm going to have to keep that into consideration when we take him again when he's older. I'm sure we're going to have to go by 'Calvin's Plans' instead of 'Touring Plans' next time.

 Well..I like Calvin. It's different. There are so many Juan's and Jose's!

Haha thanks I like it too!

Welp, I did it. I purchased the tickets for the night of Tuesday, December 11! I must say i'm rather excited!

I asked my DM again if she was sure that she didn't want to go. She sounded more than happy to hang back in the room and watch the baby. I even said, well maybe i'll just bring the baby so you can have time for yourself, and she was pretty adamant that she wanted to keep him. So it sounds like a date night for the hubby and me!

This will be great for us to tour the park and riding the bigger attractions without having to worry about who's not riding because of the baby. Now it will be like 'old times' again.

I think the determining factor for me was the snow on Main street. I've seen it snow at Disneyland and it's gorgeous so I couldn't even imagine how it will feel/look with Cinderella's castle in front of us. :cloud9: I'll probably tear up. That's the reality of it and I'll embrace it...while trying to hide it of course, so DH won't make fun of me. :lmao: And luckily for us, we won't be having any ADR's on this day since we'll still be on the Quick Service dining plan, so it all works out.

Next up, a day by day touring plan.

Awesome, I'm glad you guys choose to go to the party! Once the baby comes "date nights" will be few and far between, so it will be really nice to have some couple time. I'm sure you guys will have an awesome time, and if your mom is anything like my mom, she'll have more fun with the baby than in the parks anyway!

This is exactly what I was thinking! :lmao: She's been waiting for quite a while for either my brother or I to have a baby, so when we found out that we were pregnant, so was more than thrilled!

:woohoo: I'm so glad you decided to get the MVMCP tickets!! A date night will be a nice bonus to an already amazing trip!! :yay:

We may be heading over to the Poly anyway (i've got to try that Lapu Lapu. I missed it the last two times, so third times a charm!). I've never really heard anything about their decorations anyway, mostly GF and the others.

Make sure you go early for the Lapu Lapu if you want it in the pineapple cup. They will serve it in a regular glass, because they do run out of the pineapples.

Yay for the ADRs and MVMCP.

Yea for MVMCP tickets!! We purchased ours last week and I got them in the mail yesterday

Oh cool! I only had the option to pick them up at Will Call. Which may be better for me anyway since i'm rather forgetful lately...totally blaming the pregnancy hormones.

Ooh, this I did not know. Okay, now i'll have to figure out when to go and get one...maybe the first day? :confused3

We're doing MVMCP for the first time this year too. Most people seem to like the Halloween party better, but I definitely think it will be worth experiencing. Especially with the DVC discount. And especially if your mom is watching the baby!

About carriers--I love my Moby but it's not the most convenient thing in the world. It's about 75 feet long so it's kind of bulky to carry around when you're not using it, plus it tends to drag on the ground when you wrap it. When I use it, I like to put it on at home before we leave. I think an Ergo kind of carrier might be easier for Disney, but we haven't taken the baby yet (or even used our Ergo much) so I'm speaking with no authority whatsoever. :)

I've heard amazing things about MNSSHP too! However, I don't think we'll ever be able to experience that party with DH's work schedule, so i'm perfectly happy with this party!

Holly, this is exactly what I was worried about with the Moby. It's gotten excellent reviews but then I started thinking, how easily is this going to transfer from me to my DH or possibly even my mom if she really wanted to? :confused3 Now for the Ergo, can a 3 month old be carried in this? I've been hearing about an 'infant insert' for this, but am not sure what it is. I've also read that the Ergo is pretty much one of the top baby carriers, but dang is it expensive!

Yay! I'm glad you decided to do it, I think you will be happy with your choice!

Steph, i'm really excited to be going! I figured a lot of my friends on here enjoyed it, so I will too!

Just got all caught up! It sounds like your plans are coming together really well. We're thinking of bringing my dad when we finally have a baby and go to WDW. I'm excited to hear how it goes for you switching around the resorts. I'm torn because I want to stay at all of them and see them like now! but I like getting all unpacked and not having to worry about my stuff until it's time to leave. Maybe we'll try a half and half stay next time.

I would love to visit WDW but the youngest has to be old enough to hang with mom running the family ragged! :rotfl: I am running around DL like a kid in a candystore!! I don't like taking the 2 year old to the store, let alone WDW. I would be so sad to deal with a melt down! LOL I am hoping for when the LO is at least 5, so we have about 3 years. I want to learn about WDW, just like I did for our cruise. I would be lying if I said I am not nervous to take him on this upcoming cruise though! :scared:

Signing on! We are hoping to take a baby in Oct 2013, so your TR should be interesting!

I love that your mom is willing to watch the baby so you and your DH can have a date night! I am glad you decided to buy tickets for the party. =)
