is going to be for just a weekend in October. I am excited for a number of reasons, but most of all that I am getting to take Dylan. Dylan's mom passed away from breast cancer April 14. He has had a rough year and I am thinking a trip to Disney will brighten his spirits.

I just had to share, because I am so excited for him!

I booked us into a studio for the weekend.. we plan on buying the dinning, annual pass for us and a 4 day hopper for Dylan.. (did I mention we are also taking our 11 yr old).

Should I ask for anything specific as to the resort.. a building... Should I get the 1 brd or stick with the studio... Close to a pool?

I need your help.. I want it to be extra special for Dylan.. I want to see him smile again :->

I hope you all have a wonderful trip! Let us know the details when you get back.

As far as accomodations go, the 1BR will naturally be a bit larger and will allow for some privacy. The studio will have the 4 of you in a single room, which for some groups is a recipe for trouble. Others manage to get along just fine. So I guess you need to decide based on the knowledge of your particular crew. However, if you have the points for a 1BR and don't have them allocated for a future trip, I would recommend the 1BR.

If you anticipate spending much time at the pools, it's certainly a good idea to ask for a room near the main themed pool. It can be a bit of a hike to there from some of the outlying buildings.

Again, best wishes for a very enjoyable trip!

I'm sure you will have a wonderful trip! WDW in October is a great time to visit. If you have the points, you will appreciate the space in a 1BR-the extra room is really nice.
Have a wonderful trip and be sure to write when you return! :)

I hope your trip is as magical as it can be! :)

I agree with others...go with a 1 bd. They are just awesome compared with a studio.

Our first trip "Home" to SSR is October 2 through 7. We opted for a studio and save points for a one bedroom trip in April. Have fun on your trip!:thumbsup2

Dennis-

What a wonderful trip to plan.

Consider a 1 bdrm for the privacy and the extra room.

We are just doing a short weekend trip.. October 2-5... I keep my eye out for you!

I would stick with a studio there will be plenty of room why use the points if you don't have too. We will be there Sept 28- Oct 3. Maybe we will run into one another.

I think I will stick with the studio just because Dylan hasn't been away from home alot.. since his mom was sick he sorta didn't leave her side.. If we are in another room he may be upset.. but in the same room it may work out better.. comfort of having adults around..:-)

We shall see how this one works.. fingers crossed that the weather is fine, the sun is shinning and he has a fabulous time.. and I hope he smiles.. alot! he does deserve it.
