We go to DW every year, but have decided to do DL next May. I'm so confused about how everything works :(. I was wondering if they have anything like the Magical Express from the airport? I'm really not understanding the ddp. Do they have anything like the quick service plan at DW?? Thank you guys so much for the help. I'm sorry for all the question.

Welcome! :)

DL does not have the same Magical Express as WDW. Depending on which airport you are flying in to there will be different options, so knowing that will help everyone here help you. :cutie:

As to the DDP - while I have not used the DL version, everything I have heard implies that it is nothing like the one at WDW. The one here does not save you money and instead of being a card or vouchers for types of meals it appears to vouchers with specific dollar amounts. Important to note is that you do not get change back. Other posters have suggested setting money aside on gift cards or some other way instead of attempting the DL dining.

Hope some of that helps.

Out of Orange County, there are a few companies that run shuttles. The shuttles are cheaper than a taxi and IMO renting a car. The two biggest ones are the Disneyland Resort Express and Super Shuttle. They're both reputable and different people have different opinions on them so you may want to search this forum for both of those. We've used super shuttle roundtrip 2 times and they've always been on time and we've never had any problems.

Read Hydroguys stickeys at the top of this board. A world of info for WDW vets coming to DL for the first time.

I believe the DL shuttle comes into Orange county, but it is not free like the Magical Express.

Have fun planning. It is not near as hard as WDW's.

Oh and welcome to the DL side! :welcome:

I agree with Mel -- Hydroguy's tips are da bomb! If you read no others, you must read his DLR Guide for WDW Vets. It's a treasure trove of information for you WDW folks.

I agree, Mary Jo's & Hydroguy's tip threads are essential reading.

& all WDW vets should start with Hydroguy's primer:
