A quick recap:
Day 1: Plane trip down, towncar ride, check in at CR. DW and I had a wonderful, lightning-lit dinner at CG.
Day 2: Breakfast at CRT. Whirlwind tour of Fantasy and Tomorrowland. Disappointing dinner at Mexico. Toured the World Showcase. Illuminations.
Day 3: A day at AK with lunch at AKL. Dinner at Kona Cafe. A fun but soggy NoJ.
Day 4: Thunderstorms! MGM in the afternoon (no RnR ). A dry and wonderful NoJ.
Day 5: Church and the Holy Land Experience. Shopping at DDM. Dinner at BW.
Day 6: Day off! Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Short tour of MK (PoC and Splash Mountain). DVC presentation. Tea at GF. Evening at DQ and PI.
Day 7: We woke, had a quick bite to eat in the room, and headed off to BB. This waterpark is one of the best themed recreation areas in the world! DW and I immediately bought some very cool beach towels (which would later leave fuzz all over us!
). Very much enjoyed all the water rides, although the Slush Gusher was a little much due to some back problems I have, and I will likely not ride it again. DW didn't like it either, although not because of ride design. It just wasn't our style. I thought the chair lift was especially cool....an extra touch of the mountains in this very flat land.
One of the really special things about BB is the view....which is absolutely marvelous. From the top you can see all the parks and some of the resorts (AKL is prominent). VERY cool view.
DW and I also enjoyed our free lunch from the DVC presentation at the Lottawatta Lodge. We got an enormous amount of food....including two VERY yummy ice cream cones.
At about 3 we headed back to the hotel to shower and change en route MGM for our FDP at the Brown Derby. It was a wonderful meal, and we were able to catch a couple of rides prior to heading into Fantasmic, which is one of the best things about WDW. We absolutely loved the entire experience.
Another great day! Only one left.....
