Our first trip *home* to VWL, question about the pool?

As DVC members, are we allowed to use the big pool at the Wilderness Lodge or are we only to use the quiet pool? We are going in 10 days and I know it will be super crowded. Should we carry our hotel ID card with us always? I know we should call ahead if we want to pool hop to another hotel. Is there any other pool etiquette that I should be aware of? Since it's our first trip I'm sure there are things we should know but don't. Also, is there somewhere we can purchase DVC souveniers? I see them for sale on ebay and wondered where they come from. Thanks so much!! 10 days and counting!!

Congratulations on your first DVC trip! We love VWL.

Anyone staying at WL or VWL has access to both pools.

It's always a good idea to carry your ID, especially since it has your room key, and may have charging privileges, if you choose. If you don't carry it, lock it in the room safe. I haven't read too much about staff checking IDs to be sure everyone in the pools is a WL or VWL guest, but it could happen.

I don't pay much attention to the pool hopping notices in the newsletters, but pool hopping is often suspended during holiday periods --------- I have no idea if this includes Easter, but would suggest you check on it. There have always been lots of towels near each pool, so don't worry about that. The quiet pool isn't really quiet, and there has never been a lifeguard there, so no one keeping kids from jumping in the pool except their parents ----- just an FYI

The Mercantile store in WL has a few items with DVC logo. It's a big mystery why Disney hasn't recognized that DVC members are a captive audience and would buy LOTS more things with a DVC logo. There might be a t-shirt, jacket, shot glass --- each resort carries slightly different merchandise.

Hope you have a fantastic trip!
