Monday October 22nd 2007
This morning started off really sunny and although not forecast to be that hot we thought Blizzard Beach was still on the cards.
So we had our toast and got to BB in time for the rope drop. Having only been to BB once in 2001 it took us a while to get our bearings but we settled for an area near to the steps for the raft/ring rides near to the Downhill Double Dipper. We both commented on how much more cramped BB appears compared to TL, but at least there wasnt so much sand to contend with!
After this we went on the chair lift to the top of Summit Plummet and then went down the Teamboat Springs sharing a raft with a pleasant American couple. It was then time to try the Run off rapids, Toboggan Racers, Snow Stormers and finally the Downhill Double Dipper. As it was getting busier we decided to take a trip around the lazy river. After this we sat in the sun for a while but it was rather hot, much hotter than we expected. By around midday we were peckish so I went and got two cookies and the refillable mug as there was a refill station right behind where our loungers were
As the sun was so hot a walk around BB was in order around 1pm to get some piccies.
We eventually left around 3pm and went back to SSR for showers before going off for our final shopping trip to the Mall at Millenia. On the way we stopped in at City Walk to look for the shirt Nathan had seen in the surf shop, but they didnt have his size
Anyway once at MM I found a few things I liked in Macys and ended up walking out with some good bargains
Dinner was needed and we stopped of at the Outback Steakhouse and wow was it busy for a Monday evening, it must have taken about 30 minutes to get our table but once we did the food was great
The little loaf was quite tasty and unusually more of a black bread.
I started with the shrimp on the Barbie.
Nathan had the Kookaburra wings.
I followed with the rack of lamb.
Nathan had a steak and he said it was perfectly cooked, just how he likes it.
It had been a long day so we got back to SSR and collapsed into bed!
