Another brisk walk was had and according to this picture it was exactly 11:45:06! We were 6 seconds late for our ADR.
And this is outside the turnstiles. I took a picture of DM lagging behind. You can kind of see her in the distance between a family and a couple about to make-out (?)
There was no time to take in the hustle and bustle of the park so we went straight to the restaurant. We were late. The timestamp for this picture was 11:53:27. I HATE BEING LATE. So I send DH in there to check in so he can be lectured on punctuality. Hehe
We had to wait about 10 minutes, which was fine with us. It gave us some time to sit down and catch our breath from our very hectic morning. Our name was called and we were transported back in time and were seated in the very front row. Our unobstructed view of the screen
And the cars around us
DH and I had eaten here back in 2010 and we really enjoyed it and knew DM would love this place. She’s totally into the whole ‘Sci-Fi’ thing and is in love with movies that have oversized insects that attack cities and what not. And of course they had clips of these things. We took a few minutes to look over the menu
I couldn’t get any pictures of DH or DM’s food because they were sitting behind me so I just got pictures of mine. For an appetizer I ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip. I got this last time and it was really tasty
DM got the onion rings. I pretty much forced her to get them actually because I remember them being DELICIOUS and they still were this time around. I believe we all got the Build-Your-Own Angus Chuck Burger for entrees and I’m sorry no picture. For dessert I got the Out-Of-This-World Turtle Cheesecake and oh my gosh, it was completely out of this world! It was ridiculous.
DM was practically begging for more bites of my dessert because she ordered a Milkshake, which was delicious as well, by the way.
Lunch was so nice and relaxing. Besides the clips showing, it was really quiet in there. No one seemed to be talking. Everyone was eating and watching the big screen. It was so weird, but nice.
DH took a picture of us
Then our waiter saw him do this and offered to take a picture of all of us
DM totally enjoyed Sci-Fi and I’m pretty sure this is where she would come again, if she ever makes it back to WDW.
I wanted to do something but since we just ate, something slow and easy was in order. Let’s do the Great Movie Ride! As we were making our way over to the entrance we saw Meeko! There was literally no one around him for a while
DH ended up staying and talking to Meeko about our dog, Percy the Pug, which is Meeko’s new found friend from the movie Pocahontas. Here’s Percy in case you haven’t met him yet
While DH and DS were visiting with Meeko, DM was checking out the different signatures and handprints on the ground
We eventually made our way inside then DH wanted me to take a picture of DS ‘riding’ the horse from Mary Poppins. Why? I don’t know.
I didn’t take any pictures of the ride, but DM absolutely loved it! She’s a lover of all movies so she thought it was really cool to see clips from some of the best movies of all time this way.
