Day Ten - Saturday
Headed over to DHS for morning EMH.
DH did the mad dash for TSM FPs.
I weaved my way through with the kids and stroller. Parked the stroller and headed for standby.
Was met by a CM advising that due to technical difficulties TSM was not running at this time. We decided to just stand there and wait since our only plan was to ride TSM and then head back to the Fort for checkout.
I questioned the CMs about getting in line and waiting was advised they will not open the line until the ride is in operation.
At about 820/825, Steve, who was dressed differently and looked like a supervisor opened the line in front of us, closed it behind himself and then announced the ride is in operation. They then made everyone go to the other end to get in line, so there was a pushing and shoving match by the ones waiting there to get in line. I was mad!!! We were about the 10th group to get on.
When we exited it was showing 20 minute standby and since we could not use our FPs until 910 we got back in line.
Upon exit, we hit the bathroom and then used our FPs. Managed to do TSM 3 times in about an hour! Yippee!!!! The wait time was up to 50 mins.
Our last look at the hat on our way out.
Made it back to the MH a few minutes after 10am.
The people in the site beside us had already departed so we parked our van there. I headed in to do some last minute put aways and DH started the outside stuff. Hooked up the tow dolly and headed to the overflow parking lot to park the MH for the remainder of the day.
Off we went to MK.
Arrived at the parking lot, took our last walk to the ferry and it was packed.
Both kids fell asleep during the walk and ferry ride.
We headed to Frontierland. Grabbed FPs for BTMR. Woke the kids and jumped in the standby lane for Splash Mountain which was a 25 minute wait.
We then used our FPs for BTMR.
We then made the journey over to Fantasyland hoping to be able to get FPs for Peter Pans flight. FP time was for after 4pm, so we passed on them due to our plan to be out of MK before then.
While DH and the kids got in line for Snow Whites Scary Adventure, I went to park the stroller and grabbed FPs for Pooh.
As we were exiting Pooh heading for the Carousel, I spotted Peter Pan and Wendy.
DH jumped in the line with the kids while I ran to the stroller for the autograph book.
While waiting in line we were talking with the people behind us. We asked them where they were from they said PA, we said us too, Gettysburg, they said they are too, I then said actually just south in Littlestown, they started laughing and said they were too. Come to find out we live less than 1.5 miles apart. What a small world!!
Finally our turn with Peter and Wendy. The meet and greet went great. Last year our meeting with Peter was bad, I actually had posted pics of the look that DH was giving Peter on the Worst Character moment thread. That Peter was called the Creepy Peter by quite a few posters. Anyhow, this one was excellent, totally redeemed Peter Pan in DHs eyes.
Then over to ride the Carousel one last time.
After exiting the ride, we grabbed some lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus. DD got her Mac & Cheese while the rest of us got Pizza.
Next stop was to Winnie the Pooh to use the FPs. I commented that this was the last ride that we rode during our last trip.
Started our final walk out of the park.
Mad Tea Party had a 10 minute wait. DD wanted to ride it again. While we got in line, DH took DS to the bathroom and grabbed some FPs for Buzz.
DD and I met them at Tomorrowland Transit Authority.
And here is a pic I took of Astro Orbitor, because I did not get one when we rode it previously.
DS saw the race cars and wanted to ride them. So upon exiting TTA we headed there.
On our way to the Speedway, we got to interact with PUSH. I told the kids how lucky they were to be able to do that on both of their trips.
The Speedway was about a 20 min. wait. There was a girl in a car by herself that started freaking out she could not control the car and it was bouncing back and forth. We thought she was going to get out in the middle before a CM got to her. After exiting that we headed over to Buzz, our final ride of our trip.
We then did the sad dragging feet march out of MK.
The kids were saying bye to everything.
We were on the Ferry at 445pm.
Once back at the Fort, we loaded the Van on the tow dolly and left Fort Wilderness at approx. 545.
DH had his first GPS meltdown. It was telling him to take an exit (72B??) and he didnt. He proceeded to rant and rave about the GPS telling you take the right exit and stay in the left lane, how the H#ll do you do both! I hate this thing.
I told him you need to listen to what it is telling you not just the first and last thing. When it is showing you right turn it is not now it is 2.3 miles or whenever it is showing you. Not sure if the exit he missed was just a short cut or what he actually missed, we were on 4 and continued with that.
I sat either in the passenger seat or on the couch.
Both kids finally fell asleep on the couches.
DH stopped for fuel at the same stop we used last time and we pulled into Super
Walmart for the night just after 11pm.
We were the only campers there this time. DH and I both grabbed showers.
I stayed out on the one couch with the kids while he took the bed.
Set the alarm for 7am
