Our First Disney Cruise!! Questions!!

Hi! This is my first post on the boards but I've been enjoying reading your comments and posts and building my excitement for our first cruise ever! DH and I are taking the 4 day cruise and have a few questions.

1. On Castaway Cay, is there transportation around the island or is everything in walking distance?

2. For Castaway, we have booked these things:
10:00 Stingray Adventure
12:00 Parasailing
2:00 Couples Cabana massage
Will we be able to make all of these on time with there being only two hours between the start times of them?

3. What is the Palo brunch like and is it worth doing? The day it is offered is the same day we already scheduled dinner at Palo. Would going there twice in a day be overkill?

Thank you so much for your help and I know I'll have more questions soon!

We scheduled the parasailing for 10am and the stingray encounter for 2pm. That gave us time to explore Castaway Cay and take the tram out to the adults only beach (Serenity Bay) and look around a little before heading back to the dock to catch our parasailing boat, which is docked close to the cruise ship. You do have to change trams to get out to Serenity Bay, where they also have the massage cabanas. I wanted to go parasailing early in case it got too windy in the afternoon, and as it was, the water was a little choppy but the parasailing was smooth as glass. It was absolutely awesome floating up there, where you couldn't even hear the boat motor.

I also booked the stingrays in the afternoon in the hopes the water would be a little warmer (we went in mid-January 2007). We did have time to eat lunch at Cookie's BBQ in between. Your schedule might be kind of hectic, dashing from one event to the other. Can you get an earlier stingray time, maybe 9 or 9:30? And maybe move the cabana massage back a half hour or so, just to give you a little leeway? The island itself is so beautiful that you don't want to rush around and not enjoy seeing the lush landscaping and detailed theming of the whole place.

I think other posts have explained the Palo Brunch/Dinner issue. We did schedule brunch on our at-sea day and I would definitely do that again.

Have a WONDERful time!!
