My husband, five-year old son Hunter, and I will be taking my parents on their first cruise on April 10, 2004 for their 40th anniversary. We've cruised only once before but are new to Disney's ships ourselves.

Since we are new to Disney's ships...I have a few questions. I hope someone out there is able to help me out.

1. Has anyone taken a Disney cruise during Easter break before? Do you know if they do anything special for Easter Sunday Dinner or have egg hunts for the children? I have to admit that I feel a little guilty breaking the family tradition for the holiday...but this was my parents dream...and with school schedules...the holiday was the only option.

2. Also, my father is going crazy over the price of a six-pack of beer. Do you know if you are able to bring beer on the boat with you? Ok...this is a real silly question...but for his sake, I have to ask.

3. Are there excursions that you would highly recommend. I want to make sure that this trip is one to remember?

4. What is the best night to make reservations at Palo?

Thanks in advance for your help...

PS: How do I put the clock at the bottom of my note to count the days to my trip....I think that is soo cute. We are all so excited for this vacation. My parents already went to Kohls department store and bought their outfits for the week (because they are all on sale now)...hahahah

Let me be the First to Welcome you to the Cruise Boards. You are all going to have a wonderful time.
I haven't cruised Easter, but I'm sure someone has and will update you on that.
Disney allows you to bring your own cocktails on board, so tell him it's okay to bring his own beer with.
Not sure which route you are going, if it is Eastern or Western.
We did ours on the First Formal Night, I didn't care for the menu that night.
There is a tech support at the bottom of the main page of the DIS Board click on it and there is a link to the clocks.
Congratulations on your trip and have a great time.

Go here for your countdown clock, just follow the easy instructions, and you should have a clock up and running in no time.
