MIL thought I really lost it - lol
until she had to call the gift shop and they told her "Welcome Home"
She finally got it

do you tell people you're "going home"?

No, I don't tell people I'm going home. A matter of fact, I'm starting not to tell people I'm even going back to WDW. Even my Mom is starting to give me guilt....

No I don't. I don't really talk about "going home." To me it's more a state of mind. When I arrive at WDW and walk into my DVC room, I get a feeling I can't describe. To me that's "home." ::yes::

When we're at WDW, we often refer to our room as "home."

Lenshanem,

That is funny, you made me laugh this morning!

I am right there with you. I would rather not tell anyone I am "going" anymore!!:p

Laurabearz, LOL!

We don't say much anymore. When we have to mention upcoming vacations, we keep it vague...going to Florida, etc. It's just better that way!;) :D

You're cracking me up, newholiday. That's something I would do--bounce around the room saying "I'm home, I'm home"! Actually, I tend to bounce a lot when I'm at Disney.

As far as not telling your family...right now I"m trying to figure out how to get my mom to babysit while my dh and I sneak off on the DVC cruise---and not let her know where we're going! Just because we booked an extended family DCL cruise in December is no reason why we shouldn't go, right? Maybe I could try the vague "somewhere in Florida" comment.

I am surprised. Forget the guilt. People can make anyone feel that way. It is nothing more than jealousy at its best. We go to Disney because we enjoy it and I am proud of it.

Come on say it with me:

"We go to Disney because we love it and I am proud of it"

We all here it "you are going again", "how can you afford that" plus many more. The fact of the matter is who cares what they say. They are right there with though when you invite them to go. It is amazing isn't. One more time now:

"We go to Disney because we love it and I am proud of it"

There now don't you feel better!

We say we are going to Berwyn.....

That is too funny. I grew up in the Chicago area and it reminded me of that cheezy late night show "Son of Svengoolie"

:hyper:

YES, anabelle!!
That's what I was thinking of. We use to love that show when we were kids--before "son of"...Svengooli!
..." BERRRWWYN!!!"

No, but I don't mind hearing "welcome home" while staying at a DVC resort. Is this your first trip to VWL? It's a wonderful resort that seems so far removed from the parks.
