After a great meal it felt good to walk around a bit. It was still very hot out even though it was dark out. We walked over to the Lego store but it was so crowded we didn't stay long. We saw the carousel and decide to let Grace go for a ride. This was her first time on one. She ate so much I was worried she would be sick. She enjoyed it. I think she would have liked being on one of the horses that move up and down more but I wasn't sure so I went with the safe still horse. ;)

We walked over to the Art of Disney and bought Grace's new ears. While we waiting for them to be monogrammed we looked around the store. I saw some great frames I wanted but decided to wait til our last day to buy them. Her ears were finish in 15 minutes and we decided to call it a night. We walked over to the bus stop around 9:30 pm. After a few ear pics she passed out on DH's shoulder on the bus.

It was a great Disney day!:goodvibes

Wow T-Rex looks awesome! I ate at the Rainforest Cafe the other day and this looks way cooler! I've heard it's loud in there but I would go in there expecting it and it probably wouldn't bother us either. People just need to do a little research before they go :thumbsup2 Your meal does look delicious.

Love Grace's ears! Too cute! :cutie:

Aww cute bus stop pics! I love watching little kids interact.

Day 2

We woke up around 8 am. The room was so dark and it's so quiet at OKW I slept longer than I thought I would for a park day. I jumped in the shower and DH ate his cake for breakfast because it was his birthday. He was surprised to see color inside the cake. :goodvibes

IMG_3351.JPG

He fed Grace cheerios while she watched Mickey on TV. We had cereal that morning to save a few bucks. We put on pins on our new lanyards and headed out the door around 9:30. We walked to the HH bus stop because we just missed a bus at Miller Road. Here's a few pics while we waited.

IMG_3353.JPG

DH is not a morning person.
IMG_3355.JPG

This was our first experience with a long bus wait. We waited about 30 minutes watching 3 or 4 buses of everything but AK go by. It started to rain when we got on the bus it looked like the clouds where sticking around for awhile. We got off the bus at AK and headed over to will call for all the free admission upgrade info and tickets. It took awhile but it was worth it all in all because I knew when we would leave DHS on Thursday it would be with seasonal passes. :goodvibes

IMG_3356.JPG

IMG_3358.JPG

We headed over to get safari FPs first. We saw some animals but didn't stop because they were all the typical zoo animals. Got a few pics along the way.
I won't share them with ya because they aren't that exciting. ;) We looked around for DeVine but didn't see her. I don't think she was out because of the rain. We headed over to get lunch just before noon in case it was crowded. FTB didn't have much of a line so we ordered. This was our first time there. We found a table and I went for all the utensils and condiments. It started to rain hard so we moved to a covered table when a family was done. On the upside it wasn't hot.

IMG_3375.JPG

DH got the Pork Sandwich and I got the Smoked 1/2 Chicken with grapes to share with Grace. Everything was good but to be honest my T-Rex ribs were better.
IMG_3378.JPG

Grace was happy and wanted to share her chicken with the ducks.

Brave little things
IMG_3392.JPG

We finished up and headed over to the safari because it was almost FP time. I saw a face painting place near there and wanted to get one done. I had my face painted last time we were at AK in "06 for our honeymoon and we lost almost all of those pics. :sad1: I told the CM I wanted something like the unicorn but only on one side. He did a great job and kinda read my mind. It was very similar to my old one but a little bigger. Grace kept pointing saying "Pre pre" her word for pretty. It was very relaxing. :goodvibes

We got in FP line for the safari. It moved fast and we waited about 10 minutes. Grace was getting a little sleepy. I was praying she didn't freak out on the ride. It was great trip. We saw a lot more animals and I swear but don't quote me on but it seemed much longer and they stopped more than our first time on it in Jan '06 which made me really happy. Grace did great but she wasn't crazy about the bridge part.

After the safari we headed over to Camp Minnie-Mickey for some character pics and this is when it started to pour and didn't stop for 3 hours. :headache:
Grace napped in the stroller for a bit while we waited in line. We were soggy and cranky but it was worth it in the end.:goodvibes

Here comes the ticked off duck part of my title. Donald was very upset that DH & I didn't have any of his pins on our lanyards and wouldn't let us in the picture. :rotfl: He was hilarious! I apologized to him and said I would find the perfect one. :goodvibes Grace just loved him and kept saying "Duck duck !!!" It was too cute.
IMG_3478.JPG

IMG_3480.JPG

It was around 2:30 pm when we were finished. I knew Nemo started at 3 so we started off that way. It still was pouring on and off. :sad2: Got a few pics on the way.

Wet but happy!
IMG_3486.JPG

I was afraid of freezing to death inside Nemo but it wasn't that bad when everyone got inside. We loved it! I liked to better than FOTLK. The music and puppeteers were amazing. Grace got a little scared when the underwater mines went off and when Dory got hurt from the jellyfish but was happy when she was ok. When it was over around 4 pm and we came out to more rain. At this point we were sick of being wet.

love the safari pictures. thats horrible that it rain. charactar pictures are cute also. looks like Grace was enjoying herself

Hi! I'm joining in. Grace is absolutely adorable:goodvibes You weren't kidding when you said you were soggy when you met the characters. You guys looked soaked! Too cute that Grace loved the "duck". That is great that she isn't afraid of the characters:goodvibes

:welcome: and thank you! :goodvibes She has never been afraid of them and we're hoping she never will be.

Day 2 Part II

We let Grace sleep and we enjoyed resting for awhile. We started over to Africa see if we could find DeVine and we ran into the parade which Grace slept through. They were still having it while it was raining but I believe it was much shorter.

Sorry it's so shaky. :goodvibes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VH_353tCYw

After that DH asked if we could may be eat dinner early since we had enough of the rain. Our ressies at Yak & Yeti were for 6:00 pm and it was around 5:45. So we headed over to check in. The restaurant was fairly empty and we were pretty hungry. We got seated and decided on food right away. We ordered the Wok-Fried Green Beans. They were awesome ...we ate them all! :rolleyes1
IMG_3508.JPG

DH got the Duck with Anandapur Glaze and loved it.
IMG_3510.JPG

And boring me got Chicken Fried Rice. It was ok but DH's duck was delicious.
IMG_3511.JPG

Grace eating her carrots.
IMG_3507.JPG

After we all finished we decide to head out of AK because we wanted to go over to MK for SpectroMagic and Wishes. We stopped by Creature Comforts and I got a pin

and Grace made a new friend. She has carried around and slept with Simba every night since. :cutie:
IMG_3512.JPG

We got a few more pics of the Tree of Life and then we headed out to the buses to get back to the room to change and go to MK. We stopped at the store outside the gate to check for ears and we found birthday ones! yay!

IMG_3517.JPG

We got back to the room around 8 pm. I got another shower because my hair was a mess and that's when DH discovered he lost his ticket. :headache: We looked all over and in all our bags and pockets...Nothing. He started to panic and I said "Don't worry this is Disney...they can fix anything." We started for the buses and got on and DH wasn't panicking anymore..We walked to will call and explained everything and they printed a replacement in minutes. The CM saw my lanyard and let me look through his pin book. I made a trade with a mystery pin and chose a classic Mickey & Minnie pin from the CM.

IMG_3522.JPG

IMG_3523.JPG

We stuck around the entrance to get a good spot for SpectroMagic. Grace was eyeing all the balloons and pointing at them. She was sleepy again. I don't know what is it about her and parades. I don't think she's been awake for one of them yet. Oh wait..MNSSHP last year. Yes this is her 3rd trip! :rotfl:

Only blurry pic we got on DH's iphone. We are having a hard time getting the video off the camera. I recorded for 20 minutes. :scared: I usually stop and restarted. :sad2: Stupid fat32.

Day 2 Part II Cont...

IMG_3544.JPG

The parade ended and this where the traffic jam started. I didn't realize it was EMH that night. With 2 huge crowds of people..one going in MK for Wishes and the second one going out after the parade. The CMs were doing a great job of controlling it by everyone taking 2 steps to the right going towards the castle. DH was a little freaked out because he doesn't do crowds well. It didn't bother me but I have never seen it so crowded before. But we don't usually come in the summer let alone July 4th week. :goodvibes

IMG_3537.JPG

We got through the crowd and over to the photopass area next to the rose garden and got a pic but it wasn't so good. :guilty: We camped around there until Wishes started and then I moved over to the middle for a video. Grace did well with the fireworks. She was a little scared from the noise then said "pre pre" at all the lights in the sky. I'll add the Wishes video tonight if I can. ;)

IMG_3544.JPG

IMG_3542.JPG

We decide to get popcorn and ice cream after the fireworks.
IMG_3544.JPG

DH's favorite :goodvibes
IMG_3551.JPG

IMG_3553.JPG

By this time it was almost 11pm and we were all tired. We wanted to stay and ride may be Dumbo or Aladdin but just didn't have the energy to fight the crowds. We knew we'd be back in Oct so we could focus on Grace rides then. :goodvibes

On the way out we got Grace her balloon and she was thrilled. :cutie:
IMG_3557.JPG

All in all DH had a great birthday! party:

All caught up again! Love the birthday ears! Grace is adorable with her Simba and balloon! I am like your DH -- I don't deal well with walls of crowds either!

Wow, despite all the rain it looks like you guys had a great day! I'm glad to hear your DH enjoyed his birthday so much.

I love the picture of Grace with the birthday ears on her little head, so cute! Great pictures of the MK at night too, making me want to be there even more than normal right now! :goodvibes :cloud9:
