Our experience with GF Concierge

Throughout our stay (7/25 - 8/1) the concierge staff at RPC was very helpful getting PS's and just friendly in general. When a problem did occur with our dinner PS's at Shula's however, they out did themselves.
I made Ps's for Shula's for Monday the 28th, sometime in late June. When we arrived at the GF and got our itinerary, I noticed that all Ps's were in my brothers name (no problem he was staying right next door in an adjoining room), but that the one for Shula's was at 6:45. I would never make it so early or so I thought but there it was in writing. Now, I should stse right here that the Ps was for 15 people and I had to secure it with a credit card. Well, on the day of the afforementioned Ps, it rained several inches over the course of an hour so it was difficult getting everyone to the Dolphin. Anyway, we got there and I checked in at 6:30. I was then told in no uncertain terms(and rather rudely) that our Ps was for 7:45, not 6:45, and it would not be ready a minute early! I didn't know waht to do. The kids in our party were close to revolting, the ladies who were fussing about things like hair and makeup and the effect the rain had on each were discussing my untimely demise. I had no one else to turn to so I called our conciereg back at the GF. After he called the manager at Shula's to no avail, his manager got on. She said she was very embarrassed and that it was her mistake and the she would cover our meal minus the tip and bar tab. I reminded her that there were 15 people in our party, and she said she would do it anyway. Well, the part that she comped was about $870.00!
I never look for a free ride, don't sweat getting or not getting towel animals, and dont care if the CM's look me in the eye or not. I meet the magic halfway and always have a great time,and that 's what keeps me coming back year after year.
 
Im glad to hear that disney did you right!! :) I think they usually do if you are someone like yourself , not out to get something for free. You had a real complaint not a frivilous one!
 
The GF really went above and beyond for you, for a very legit complaint.

I hope your dinner at Shula's turned out to be wonderful after all, it is one of my favorites!!:D
 

WOW, that's real Disney magic! Three cheers for the GF concierge team. They came to the rescue big time. I hope the meal was terrific.

WOW!!! What a great Magic Story.....I've had a few comps for disney errors but that amount is amazing...
 
I had a similar incident happen a few years ago involving a botched reservation at Wolfgang Pucks's in DD.

No concierge was involved, but the Manager of the restaurant ended up comping the E-N-T-I-R-E bill, bar tab included (if I had known she was gonna' do that, I would have had a drink myself!!).

We paid the tip, but the bill for 4 adults was over $230!!

Yikes!!!!

As the OP said, we were not looking for a free ride, but it WAS veeeeeeeeeeeeery nice when it happened.
