Our Easter surprise for the girls...

Very cute... my kids are small 4 and 2, so I cut out pictures from magazines that lead them throughout the house to find their baskets. SO an example was a picture of her AG doll...they will go to the doll and find the egg with a pciture of an apple in there..go to the fridge where the apples are and so on. I started the hunt with a cute letter from the Easter Bunny explaining what they have to do. I did this last year (I mean the Easter Bunny) and they had a lot of fun!

Wow....I feel like such a loser with our baskets sitting on the fireplace hearth :rotfl::rotfl: Nice job! I'm sure the girls will enjoy their hunt.

We too are soing something similar. This year. There will be about 12 clues hidden that each lead to the next. The final brings them to their baskets. Can't see how well they work together.

Cute story! Thanks for sharing your Easter morning with us, remyhollandmom!

Happy Easter to you and everyone else on the Dis! :flower:

I'm glad to see so many other people do some variation of a scavenger hunt. And I'm glad things went well for your girls. It's always fun to watch them get so excited.

We do an Easter Scavenger Hunt at my house too. My son is nearly 15 now and we've been doing this INSTEAD of baskets for 7 or 8 years. I decided to switch to mostly small non-food gifts all those years ago because the last thing we need in this house is candy! Over the years the clues have changed. In the beginning it was super easy math and physical challenges like bunny hopping to the mailbox. Each year I think he won't be interested in it anymore, but about a week or so before he starts talking about the hunt he's sure is coming up.

This year I've pulled brain teasers from the internet, since my son is smarter than I am now! This year it's more like Amazing Race, Fear Factor and Survivor all combined. One of the tasks is for him to drink a small bit of hot sauce. I would NEVER have done this before, except he just did the BLAZIN' CHALLENGE at Buffalo Wild Wings and prides himself on his abilities. Also, he has to hunt through ten pounds of white rice for the few grains that I've colored pink. We'll see how it all goes THIS AFTERNOON when he wakes up......I did say he was nearly 15. LOL!

Happy Easter:grouphug:
