This trip is going to be great. There is my wife, 16 year old son, 14 year old daughter, her best friend and myself. We are going to be there for eight days with the first two nights at AKL and then five nights at BWV. Now, what everybody including my wife didn't know was that I added three nights at the GF concierge onto the end of our trip, and that I had arranged to have my son's girlfriend flown down for the last four days. I realize there is lots of room for disaster here but if all went smoothly the results would be priceless. Okay, first day we get up at 2:30am well, actually we were already awake. It's like that Disney commercial when everybody is to excited to sleep. Our bags are packed and loaded in the car the night before so we just do a couple of last minute things and we are off. The trip to Chicago was pretty smooth we arrive at the airport about two hours before the flight. We check our bags and get our boarding passes and wait for the plane. Two and a half hours later we land in Orlando-it's raining but we think that's okay we were told to expect rain. When we finally get to baggage claim we see a man from Tiffany Towncars holding a sign with our name on it and the kids get all excited. Tiffany is the way to go they take you right to your resort and will even stop at a store if you want. And with five people it is cheaper than Mears. We pull up to the AKL, the rain has stopped and this place is awsome. The kids start cheering ( except my son, he is to cool for that.) and my wife is just staring at he place with a big grin on her face. I booked a deluxe savana view room and when we get there I throw open the drapes and there are animals everywhere. The room was fairly large it had a full size bed a day bed and a set of bunk beds. We brought an Aero bed with us just incase the day bed was to uncomfortable it was really pretty good.Well it's off to the Magic Kingdom and everyone is very excited. First thing to do when we get there is to exchange our annual pass certificates for the actual annual passes. We all get through the gate except my daughter who had trouble with the finger scan thing. They had to rescan her fingers a couple of time and it finally worked. This was my daughter's friend's first visit to WDW and she was completely blown away she thought the entire WDW was the size of Magic Kingdom and the other parks were like the lands in Magic Kingdom. She had no idea. I was surprised that it was not really that crowded, we just took our time strolling up Main Street USA and headed over to Tomorrowland. We rode Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Carosel of Progress with at most a 15 minute wait. By this time it is about 6:00 and we are all pretty beat, so we decide to get something to eat at Cosmic Ray's(my son's favorite) and head back to the lodge. On the way back it starts to rain so it's just as well that we went back. Back in the room the kids crash and My wife and I sit on the balcony drinking lemonade and watching the animals. A pretty good first day.
