Our Dream Christmas Trip! Our PRT!

ADR day...a day I had marked on many calendars! It is a task that I both enjoy and dread...deciding how we'll spend our days on vacation more than 180 days prior to going:) I take a lot of time to think about the parks that we want to go to on which days. We typically do not hop, but with AP's this year, we will now have the choice to do so, which makes planning a bit easier. However, with it being Christmas week, I think we need to choose a park and stay there for the day.

The alarm was set! I was already on summer break, finally sleeping until about 7 am, so this was a bit of a challenge, but well worth it! I decided to book online instead of waiting on hold. Here is what we got!
12/22: Arrival Day 1900 Park Fare for dinner
12/23: Liberty Tree Tavern, dinner
12/24: Crystal Palace, dinner (hoping for Be Our Guest though!)
12/25: Garden Grill for Candlelight Processional package
12/26: No Adr yet? Have to double check this!
12/27: Mama Melrose Fantasmic package late lunch
12/28:Tusker House, late breakfast

We were able to get all of the ADR's we wanted within a 10 minute window! Now to work on one for 12/26..not sure why we don't have one. I thought I booked Rainforest Cafe at AK.

It pays to wake up to get what you prefer! Now, what's for dinner tonight? :)

Be our Guest gave my goosebumps!! by far my favorite Disney Movie, story, romance <3<3 love this!

Aha...I knew I made 1 adr per day! We have Rainforest Cafe at AK booked for 12/26. I also thought I would look at availability of adrs for Christmas...can't believe that there are many adr's available. I decided to change my arrival day dinner to Chef Mickey. I figure we can watch the castle lighting from TOTWL at Bay Lake then head over to Chef Micky for dinner. We have never been for dinner...always for breakfast. We are not huge fans, but we will give dinner a try.
The wait it killing me though....likely why we booked an August trip to pass the time:)

Followed you over here from the Dec 2012 thread! Subbing along! We went to WDW last year around the Holiday's and we'll be headed back this year about the exact same time! Can't wait to read more of your plans!

Looks great!!

We are doing Tusker House breakfast for the first time this year! Also going back to Rainforest Cafe for lunch which we really like! 1900 Park Fare is on our must every trip - we LOVE it there!!

Thanks for joining in! Happy to have you along!
What time is your Tusker House adr? We like a late breakfast so we can it the safari first thing, then get a fastpass for EE before eating:)

Since we decided to head down in August:cool1:, our touring and adr's could be changed so we can enjoy the holiday events more.
12/22: Arrival Day 1900 Park Fare for dinner changed to dinner at Chef Mickey so we can see the castle lighting then head over to CR. We have also never tried CM for dinner, always breakfast.
12/27: Mama Melrose Fantasmic package late lunch Changed to 50's Prime Time Cafe. We will do Fantasmic in Aug and save this night for Osbourne Lights.
Still finding the availability of adr's amazing for Christmas week! I am having an easier time getting Chef Mickey and Fantasmic packages for this week than I did for the 40th anniversary week of MK last year at my 180 day!

We like to coordinate at times for our park days. I found these great shirts on ETSY. I was going to ask for Christmas colors but I would like to be able to wear them for our other trips as well. I order blue for the guys and a pink/purple combo for me. Let me know if you want the site info:)

LOVE LOVE LOVE these shirts!! We are trying our hand at making our own this year, I hope they turn out good!!!!

We are doing a pre-park opening ADR, 8:20 - AK opens at 9am but I'm going to be the 'runner' and go grab FP's for the Safari during breakfast! We won't need Kali FP or EE FP because I'll be the only one riding EE and I use the single rider, and we'll be using child swap at Kali since my DS wont' be tall enough.

We went early December last year and loved it so much. We did the Candlelight Processional, Osbourne lights and holidays around Epcot. We also liked visitng the other resorts to see their decorations. Christmas time is magical. Your family will have a great time.

Good luck with the shirts! Let me know how they make out! I wish I was patient enough to make them:) I love pre park adrs! Our favorite is CP so we can get pictures at the castle alone:)

Just wanted to let you know I'm subscribing! Christmas at Disney sounds wonderful! My birthday is December 23rd too so some year I need to go for my bday and christmas. ;)

I can't wait to find out if you get a reservation at Be our Guest!!! :lovestruc

Thanks for following along! Since we booked our August trip 2 weeks ago, I haven't thought nearly as much about Christmas as I was doing:) We are still awaiting the BOG reservations and playing with our current adrs. Since we booked the August trip, we decided to cancel our F! reservations so we can spend more time seeing the Osbourne Lights. When I say we, I should be saying I:) DH lets me run with the planning. I would like him to be as interested in it as me....well almost as interested...but he humors me and lets me chat about it at night.

Subbing :thumbsup2

We will be at WDW during those dates too. Looking at your plans, we will be at several of those parks on the same days too.

BLT and AKV sounds like a great combo for your trip!!

We also changed 1900 Park Fare to Chef Mickey. We aren't big fans at breakfast time, so we thought we would try dinner. I can't believe we got an adr last week! I booked a 6:55 dinner in hopes that we can be in MK to see the castle lighting then head over to CM for dinner. Afterwards we can head to the Top of the World lounge at BLT to see Wishes. We have a 5:50 am flight that morning, so it will be an early to bed for us.

Seminole is in Armstrong county. Its a very very small town population only about 200. The closest town to us is New Bethlehem and Brookville.

One of your fellow August Disers joining in on your Christmas PTR :goodvibes .

We will be in Orlando almost the same times as you......tho we arrive and depart one day later (Dec. 23 - Dec. 30).

Our fam is staying onsite at SeaWorld, but we're planning on taking in a little bit of everything Orlando has to offer.......SeaWorld, Aquatica, Downtown Disney (with a dinner ressie at T-Rex, a first for us :thumbsup2), breakfast at Ohana (a family favourite :cool1:) followed by a tour of the deluxe resorts via monorail to see the Christmas decorations, Gatorland, an airboat ride, and my boys are super excited to attend the Orlando Magic/Toronto Raptors game on the 29th :cheer2:.

This will be the first time we are away from home on Christmas Day and missing the extended family holiday celebrations. Kind of sad to be away from my mom on Christmas Eve, but still totally pumped to be heading to the sun and warmth!!!!

Hi Gina! Thanks for joining! I didn't realize that you were also going during the holidays! Sounds like you have a great trip planned! I haven't focused on Christmas as much since our August trip popped up last month. Did you join the December Facebook group?
