Ok so this is gonna be big time picture overload, but I did narrow it down from 440

On our way out of town:

About 30 minutes later

We made it from Vegas to our hotel in 4 hours, with a 1/2 hr stop in Barstow for some fries and stretching! We headed across the street to pick up our tickets so we didn't have to do it in the morning. The boys had a good time playing by the California letters:

We then went to IHOP for some dinner and headed to the room to rest up for our big adventure!

Coming up- day 1!

Day 1- Disneyland!!

We got to the park shortly after opening.
147.jpg

that's Auntie Carolyn with us.. she works with my husband and has adopted my boys as "her boys" and had never been to Disneyland before!

149.jpg

We walked right on to Buzz Lightyear. The boys were scared of the big Buzz and we had to carry them past him, but they liked the ride LOL

Then we went on the astro orbiters. It was Tyler's favorite ride and everytime he saw it on the trip, he would say "I ride that! Is mine!" LOL
150.jpg

Then it was over to drive the cars. This was so much fun, the boys got to drive and were cracking me up the whole time!

169.jpg

We walked around Innoventions, which wasn't very exciting for us, but got some good pictures from outside of it.

171.jpg

We also spotted.....
174.jpg

A little while after that we tried to ride the monorail and they said it was down for an hour.. guess they were getting monorail red off the tracks.

Then it was off to the much anticipated train ride my boys had been talking about for months! They are train fanatics! :)

After the train ride we walked around toon town for a while and the boys rode gadget's roller coaster.. they loved it! I also had to have a pic of them in Goofy's chair, just like last year (see my siggy)

193.jpg

After toontown we walked across the street to Mc Donald's and then back to the hotel for a rest. Around 4 we headed back over to the parks.
197.jpg

We rode the teacups, another favorite!
201.jpg

205.jpg

and the boys conquered their fear of the carousel, which was the only ride they were scared of last year :)
210.jpg

209.jpg

We headed to scope out our parade watching location and ended up the same place as last year.. near Alice in wonderland behind the Matterhorn. It's a great location I think. The boys had some cotton candy while we waited:

After the parade we rode the Jungle Cruise, got some dinner for the boys and camped out for the fireworks. The boys crashed in the stroller on the way home :)

One of my favorite memories of this day was waiting for the hotel elevator. There was another couple there with a sleeping child and the husband looked down and said how cute the boys were and then commented "look, they still have smiles on their faces" :)

Still to come- day 2!

I'm just going to keep writing or I'll never get it done LOL

Day 2!

We had MM this morning and got there a few minutes before they opened the gates. we went directly to Nemo. The boys loved it. I thought it was cute but I wouldn't wait in a long line for it.
328.jpg

After that we rode the cars and Buzz again and then we had 9:00am reservations for Minnie and Friends. I wasn't sure how the boys were going to react to the characters. The first part of it, the boys wanted nothing to do with them, but towards the end Tristan warmed up and gave Minnie and Eeyore hugs and kisses.

Chip (or dale, i can never tell) was cute.. he kept offering the boys their food to try and appease them LOL

After breakfast we did Tyler's favorite ride again and then headed to CA for the day.
363.jpg

364.jpg

At CA, the boys love to play in the water in Bug's Land

We rode all the rides in Bug's Land and then Tristan passed out right before Playhouse Disney show.

After lunch and a rest, we came back for the Pixar Play parade.

After the parade the grownups rode the Tower of Terror! yay! i love that ride!
We rode the zephyr and got the boys something to eat.

We got our seats for the light parade

and this was the boys at the end of it

We did some shopping in Downtown Disney and headed to the hotel for the night.

Day 3 coming up next!

Day 3- our final day :(

We were planning on MM again but didn't get up early enough, plus had to check out of the hotel and move the car to Disney parking.
This was also Mother's Day :)

We went straight for the more grown up rides this time. First up was Indian Jones, where we saw this sign
515.jpg

Then Pirates, where we saw this:
519.jpg

And Haunted Mansion, where we saw this:
522.jpg

I was thrilled!! Happy Mother's day to me! Oh speaking of mother's day, Tristan insisted on carrying my carnation around
521.jpg

Next we went for another lap on the train and then ate lunch at the French Quarter- yummy fried chicken!
524.jpg

526.jpg

After that we went back to the teacups for another spin :)
532.jpg

537.jpg

We rode some more of the kiddy rides and then the boys fell asleep in the stroller, so we went to find a shady spot to let them sleep and then wait for the parade. when they woke up they got suckers. yum!

540.jpg

541.jpg

We then did a little shopping and then took the monorail to downtown disney. the boys loved the "blue train!"
577.jpg

578.jpg

We then waited in the longest ride of the day, the line for the tram, and sadly said goodbye to Disneyland :(

What a beautiful family - and your boys are too cute!!! Thank you for sharing. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Thanks for the great trip report! So was Mother's Day not crowded all day?

Also, where did you stay and how was it?

Mother's Day was great! It did seem like it got a little more crowded late in the day, but not much! :)

We stayed at the Desert Inn. I posted some pics in the hotel thread. we had no complaints other than being in like the farthest room from the elevator :) We had the big family parlor suite.. we had our own room, the boys had their own room, and our friend had her own room, all separated by full doors :)

Your boys are adorable! Glad you had a great time, Love the report!

Happy Mother's Day!

Thanks for posting that. I actually looked at your pictures on the other thread, but I didn't connect the dots and realize you were the same person!

We stayed at the Desert Inn YEARS ago. It was great for our family, and I loved the proximity. Nothing fancy, but clean and spacious.

Great pics, great report!!

Tip about Chip and Dale:
Chip's nose looks like a chocolate chip
Dale has a dale (valley) in between his teeth.

It sounds like you had a great time and your pics were wonderful! It makes me miss Disneyland............... So much fun!

Thank you.. it was really a great trip and I've already got hubby thinking about a repeat in December :)

I love the pics... I found myself scanning the crowds around you to see if I could see us though!! No such luck... Sorry we missed you!

Adorable boys! Great trip report- thank you!

Can I ask a couple ??'s though?

First, was the 9am Minnie & Friends the first one of the day....

and Second, were the boys allowed on Indi or POC?

I love that you got a pic of them in Goofy's chair this year, they have grown a ton! It sounds like you had a great trip!

I don't believe it was the first of the day, because the park opened at 8am that day and there were already people there :)

The boys were allowed on POC, but not Indy. They even went on POC last year :)

They look so much bigger in that chair this year! I knew no matter what I did, I had to get that picture because I just loved last year's version :)
