OUR DISNEY STORE IS CLOSING!? anybody else's?

I AM so upset! Just got the word thru a friend that works there & they were just told TODAY they were closing March 9. Anybody else heard anything? Granted this isn't the biggest town but the mall is the biggest in our state (TN) & they always are CROWDED.

Not looking forward to any budget buys which I guess is a change for this board...more bummed than anything else....They already were putting out the spring stuff!

I know an outlet just opened in Atlanta so I don't think it's a nationwide thing.

Location is in Chattanooga btw.....mall is right on I-75!

fyi, they opened about 2 weeks ago.
& they have one of the most incredible management teams there, btw!!

WELL SHOOT!!!! The only reason I drive to Chattanooga is for my doctor visits and the Disney Store because we are getting all the other stores pretty much in Cleveland..that really BITES!!! I guess I will be buying everything online now. UGHHHH!!!!

The one in Rivergate Mall in Nashville is closing too! We do have a Disney Outlet at Opry Mills, however, that is not closing.

The two Disney stores by me just each relocated in their malls to new spots to be bigger. At first I thought each was closed, due to the horrible signage they used. Hopefully yours will just move, or a new one will pop up close soon.

Newington NH's store closed like 2 1/2 years ago now, I was sooooo bummed, it got replaced with a Hollister

The one in the mall near me is moving to a larger store in the mall and will be closed for a few months. They are a pretty big store now, so they must be expanding their lines or something. Maybe yours is just moving to a bigger location as well?

There is one is Knoxville and one in Seviervelle. However we were just at the one in Chattanoga and it is still and old style Disney Store. Maybe they are just remodeling? The one at Tanger Outlers near us is AMAZING it just opened a few months ago.

When I worked at TDS north of Atlanta, we were one of 10 in the nation who remodeled, yet they did close ALOT back in 2003 so they are scarce around Atlanta and south....

THE LEASE WAS UP AND THE NEW RENT THEY WANTED/ WERE CHARGING WAS TOO HIGH, SO THEY DECIDED NOT TO RE-RENT.....

I loved this store before Children's Place took over. Now I don't even bother to go in. Thier "adult" stuff is just horrid!
