This is a report of our Honeymoon in Disney 
We booked this 3 nights land/4 nights cruise pkg. w/ DCL directly and we added the Honeymoon Escape Pkg. to it, along with 3 post nights stays after the cruise. ( I knew we'd be sad leaving straight to the airport after we leave the cruise, so I convinced DH to add the 3 extra nights after the cruise )
We stayed up ALL night packing for this trip, then at 6:15AM, our car service was to pick us up, but a limo showed up instead!!! (It was park of our Limo pkg. for the wedding, but he was to come in a regular towncar but he brought the limo instead!) That was a nice suprise already!
We got to Newark airport, went through security and got to our gate, low and behold, we realize we're missing one of our carry on bags...The CAMERA/CAMCORDER bag!!! I was ready to have a heart attack, we didn't sleep at all the night before, so we didn't know if we FORGOT to bring it or left it in the limo or what. So Jay (DH) ran all the way back to the security desk and after the interigation by security officers, he got the bag back. (GOD BLESS these security officers, they we thurough with all the bags and made everyone take off their shoes to check and people were actually very cooperative. We didn't mind the security checks at all, it just made us feel safer!)
Ok, blah blah blah, we get to Orlando, and we're like little kids at this point, just smiling from ear to ear!!! When I saw the Disney store inside the airport, I almost started crying! I know, it's ridiculous, but just know that we're near DISNEY gave me a lump in my throat. (We worked really hard and saved really long to have this honeymoon!)
We're going to pick up our luggage and Jay starts to complain about how we're gonna have to wait in this LONG line to get on the Mears bus to get to WL...I'm trying to make him feel better about the ordeal, and he started walking to one of the guys in a suit holding up a sign...it says REDA PARTY on it!!! (THAT'S US!) This was his surprise!!! YAY, no waiting to get to WL!!!! When we got our bags from the infamous luggage belt, we go outside to wait for our driver and he pulls up in a limo too! THAT was the surprise! (I was so thrilled, but at the same time, I kept nagging Jay and telling him he's crazy for spending this kind of money and that a sedan would of been perfect...I felt bad, but we did save a LONG time for this trip and a limo? But of course, I couldn't stop smiling and giggling like a little kid!)
We get lost..yada yada, but we didn't care, we're IN DISNEY!!! FINALLY we pull up to WL and I'm still weary about it, I didn't know about this log cabin look, I would of appreciated Contemporary or GF, but once we walked in WL, my mouth dropped to the floor. We were blown away! It was GORGOUS and just so breath taking. We checked in, there were no Honeymoon suites available for us to upgrade (We offered to pay for the upgrade), so they just gave us our room number. Then the CM went to the back and brought out a bag w/ our name written on it...DISNEYMOONERS was staying there also, and she bought us the Bride/Groom mickey ears and left it w/ front desk to give to us!!! THANKS DISNEYMOONERS!!!!
We went to our room and the anticipation was killing us, when we opened the door, we were so suprised! We didn't get a king bed, but it was ok, we had a balcony and the view was beautiful! It faces the Villas, and the pool/spa and to the right, we could see the lake. You can hear the lodge theme music playing clearly and we just stopped and took a deep breath...THIS IS REAL!!! We fell in love w/ the WL at this point, we vowed not to stay at any other resort ever again!!!
After about an hour of "OOHH, WOW, AHH's" we went downstairs to have lunch...it was great, the staff was HILARIOUS!
Then we just walked around the resort and just take in the beauty of it all. It was raining, but we didn't care, we changed into our bathing suits and jumped into the pool! We were the only ones in there, but it was our honeymoon, who cares about a little rain!!! We were wet anyway!!!
Then we rented a surrey bike and rode down the path to the petting zoo. It was nice and quiet. And the animals were SO cute, we had a blast, we couldn't stop laughing, it was so much fun!
(we joked about how we paid thousands of dollars to come to Disney to be entertained by a petting zoo!!!)
We had ressies for the Poly Luau, but it was down pouring by now, but the showed did go on! The Food was EXCELLENT! and of course the show was great! They were performing even in the pouring rain! We got our leis and went home to turn in for the night. Of course, before bed, we had to order dessert -
(He "HAD" to have ice cream at 11:30 at night!)
That's it for the first day, I'm not much of a writer, but I just can't put into words the excitement we had and the beautiful resort was just...breath taking! I'll have him upload some of the 900 photos we took w/ our digital camera...I don't want to know how much it would of been if we used a regular camera w/ film!!!
