Cast: Me (34) and DD(13)
All prices listed are for two adult meals.
Friday 10/29/04:
Food Court at POFQ - Lunch right after check in. Me and My DD both had Double Cheeseburger combo meals (burger and fries only) and purchased two refillable mugs. The burgers and fries were excellent. No complaints at all. Would eat here again.
Total with tax: $39.79
Garden Grille @ EPCOT - Dinner. We both got the adult dinner plate. My daughter didn't like anything but the turkey since she hates stuffing and the potatoes were sauteed with onions and black pepper. The waiter was very gracious and brought her over some chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese from the kid's menu at no extra charge. Dinner was OK. Service was slow but I think it was just our waiter. The other tables on each side were constantly waited on. I think ours was having a rough night. Character interaction was fabulous! In fact, Chip and Dale were at our table so much that my food was getting cold. It could be because we had a very late seating and the restaurant was emptying out.
Total with tax: $48.97
Saturday 10/30/04
Crystal Palace Breakfast Buffet - Our most enjoyable meal. The food was awesome, the restaurant was gorgeous, and the service was fabulous! A great buffet with lots of choices. The only downside was it took a while for the characters to get around. (Why do parents let their kids run up to your table and try to pull the characters away or divert them when they are finally coming to your table next? This happened at EVERY character meal!) This is a definite must do on our next trip.
Total with tax: $38.32
Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland (Counter Service) - This place was extremely crowded and if you were unlucky enough to get a table at a window you roasted from the sun (we had to move as soon as a table was available). I had a cheeseburger with fries and a large bottled water. DD had Chicken Strips Meal and a Sprite. Food was OK. Good for fast food. Not much to say about a burger and fries.
Total with tax for Chicken strips, fries and Sprite: $9.14
Total with tax for burger, fries, and water: $8.43
Chef Mickey's Dinner Buffet - Chef Mickey's used to be my favorite dinner buffet. Perhaps we visited on an off night because the food was not good except for those parmesan mashed potatoes and the dessert bar. The character interaction was horrible. I think they had too few characters for such a large area. We were also seated on the Steak house side of the restaurant instead of the cute character decorated dining areas on the far side of the buffet. Our side of the restaurant kept getting forgotten about it seemed. My daughter would not leave until Mickey came over so we sat for (no exaggeration here) 20 extra minutes after finishing our meal waiting. Some other family could have had a table 20 minutes sooner! Our waitress kept coming over and wondering why we were still sitting there and I told her 3 times we were not leaving until Mickey came over so she finally went and got him. Our whole dining area went nuts they were so happy that he finally came over. I am not sure we would go back.
Total with tax: $57.49
Sunday 10/31/04
Cinderella's Breakfast - Always love the princesses and never crazy about the food. It's just about the location and princesses. Our server was great, though.
Total with tax: $46.84
(skipped lunch because we had a 9:30 breakfast PS)
Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner for MNSSHP - This was our favorite dinner. The Halloween party made it even better with the servers and characters dressed up. The dinner was delicious but again we had bad luck with the service (our server seemed like he was having a bad day). The server at the next tables were fabulous and I was wishing I was sitting at one of those tables. Would definitely eat here again. Great food and ALOT of it!
Total with tax: $48.97
Monday 11/1/04
Breakfast at POFQ Food Court - We had to eat breakfast and check out. I had a breakfast combo with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and a biscuit. Very yummy. DD had a horribly unhealthy breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate milk. (Gross, but I told her to order whatever she wanted).
Total for Choc Chip Pancakes and Choc Milk with tax: $8.08
Total for King Creole platter and Choc Milk: $8.09
Summary:
Best Breakfast - Crystal Palace
Best Dinner - Liberty Tree Tavern
Best Fast Food - POFQ Food Court
