We spent only 4 nights this time but had a good time. The Food and Wine Festival was great. I loved the beef skewers from Austrailia and my husband had a great time with the wine tastings. ;)

We had reservations for Marakesh our night at Epcot. I have wanted to try this place and since DH loves lamb, it was a no brainer. He really enjoyed his lamb but the lemon chicken I ordered was just bland. It was also not very warm but I didn't want to send it back. The dancer was performing when we arrived so we missed the rest of her performance. All in all, a bland meal. I would go back to Canada or France next time.

I really wanted to go back to Prime Time in Disney Studios so we checked when we arrived and were able to get 11 am seating. Our server was not busy with other tables so she sat with us and chatted, giving us quizes about Disney movies, etc. It was fun. The other servers were pestering her, moving her tables about, putting catsup smilie faces on her tables, so she was having a time of it. I loved my pot roast, as usual, and DH loved his fish sandwich. Great place every time we have eaten here.

We had dinner ressies at Brown Derby. This was our first and we were not on the Fantasmic package. DH ordered lamb again and I had the pork tenderloin. It was very good. I loved the tomato polonaise. The appetizer we ordered was a scallop on "natural bacon". That was a huge lump of cold fat with barbeque sauce on it. It was nasty. We did not complain but our server questioned why we didn't eat anything but the scallop. She later told us she took it off the bill. She didn't have to do this so we left a very generous tip. This was a busy restaurant with a lot of crying children that day. It was hot and a lot of little ones were worn out, as were we. It was good but probably not enough to get us back here.

We enjoyed our lunch at Rainforest at DTD so much we went back for dinner on Thurs. The menu is so huge it is difficult to be disappointed and the service has always been good for us.

This was our first trip without the boys and even though they are nearly adults, it is much more fun with them along.

Thanks for sharing. We're going down for a quick 4 nights too. I'll be sure to try the beef skewer. Did your husband think any of the wines he tried stood out?

TIA,
Alice

RNMOM,

How sweet that you were missing your boys even though they are older!

I like a server's attention to detail, especially when the customer is not satisfied.

Thanks for posting!
