So, I'm home with the cat today because I hurt my back yesterday. I took a muscle relaxer to help with the pain, which resulted in a nap where I was completely dead to the world. While I was out cold, apparently our cat (the Might Huntress mentioned in the title) caught and killed a lizard. :scared:

How did I find out? Well...I got up to get blood flowing through my back again and stepped on something that felt really weird. And it squeaked. I turned around to see what I'd just stepped on and realized it was a dead lizard. :faint: I hate lizards - a lot. A whole lot. :crazy2: And to make matters worse, I can't bend down to be able to get rid of it!! (assuming of course that I'd be able to do that, even if I weren't hurt - I can totally see myself picking it up with 4,000 layers of paper towels and running through the house screaming until I get to the door to throw it out. :lmao: )

My solution? I found one of DH's shirts that needs to be washed that I could reach. :rotfl: The lizard is currently entombed in an undershirt. (I called DH to tell him about it and the shirt thing was his suggestion!)

Hopefully the Mighty Huntress will give it a rest until he gets home. :scared:

My cat caught a small cricket a couple of days ago. It was quite comical.

We constantly find dead lizards throughout our house, we have 3 cats. Yesterday though I was sitting in bed reading. When I got up I picked up the pillow and there was a almost dead lizard that picked up his head to look at me. Since he was almost dead, there was this weird bend of his neck and he sank back down to die.It reminded me of some horror movie. I yelped as I was startled and DH had to come take care of it. Normally dead and live lizards don't bother me. I had to learn to dispose of the dead ones myself since my 3 think they are great hunters themselves!:scared: You would think that since they are girls, they wouldn't want to kill!!

It isn't going to hurt you. I'll get it when I get home. :)

Our family remembers fondly our cat who was a "mighty hunter", especially the summer she caught & killed two squirrels (a species that has reached pest status around here, a ravening horde if I ever saw one). Our garden harvest has dropped off quite a bit since 'Nancy' doesn't patrol our yard anymore.

agnes!

Happens in our house a lot with 3 cats. I don't know how those lizards get in but they do. Fortunately I am not scared of lizards
