Our Carsland experience

Hey, we were probably right next to each other! I was at the DCA gates yesterday morning, probably third in line. I was in a scooter with a giant boot on my foot! :rotfl: We did RSR, Luigi's, and Mater's too! Then we got FPs for RSR to use at night.

You didn't miss much today, RSR was not up and running for EMH, we bagged it and did Screamin' and TSMM as walk ons.

And your husband (and mine!) was right, the main gates were much faster. Did you see them walking over the folks from GCH? They were behind us.

Have fun! :goodvibes

We went July 7-11 and this was the case all 5 days. We just waited in the 2.5 hour line for our first ride (we wanted to ride together) and then we went in the SR line 3-4 more times. For us it was well worth the wait. We never got FPs, we figured we would wait an hour in the FP line, then wait another hour to use them so why not use the SR line or wait in the regular line?

OP sounds like a great experience for CL!! :)

Very few reports of hour long FP return lines.

Our experience was much different than your perception. We had our FPs by 8:20 and used them at 12:30 with a 10 minute return line wait. So I waited a total of 30 minutes and my wife and kids waited a total of 10 minutes. I don't count the time before rope drop waiting in the FP line because I wouldn't be doing anything else during that time anyway. If you want to include that time, then the total from when I got in line at the gate to when I had FPs in hand was 1 hour. So a total wait of 1 hour 10 minutes.

If I were to go back today I'd go the FP route. I'd rather waste time waiting in line before the park opens rather than while it's open. It's all about opportunity costs. Time is money while the park is open.

I did see the other group! That's so neat that we were there at the same time! I don't remember seeing you, but maybe we were near each other. Have a great time!!
