Wow! Your book look beautiful! You did an excellent job!

One of the neatest things about Blurb that I haven't seen anyone mention is that you can open it to the public so if you have family or friends who want one they can purchase it as well. I have a friend who sells her artbooks this way. You are able to set your own prices so that it will just cover the cost of the book itself or you can raise the price to help you pay for yours. It's a pretty neat option.

Thank you! That is something I forgot. You can direct people to your book to buy themselves. That is a nice option! I was thinking of making smaller parent albums but it took so long to do the one book I am afraid to take up another project right now.

Your book is gorgeous! I would love to do something like this for my DD (and myself!) for her upcoming wedding! I've only heard of shutterfly, not blurb. I'll have to look into it!

You should! It is so much cheaper than the books that photographers try to sell you. I mean of course they use different paper and they albums are usually leather but at least with Blurb or Shutterfly you can customize it.

Well, I do not have enough room on my laptop to download Blurbs software but considering we have been married for over seven months and you have been married for four, you have shamed me into making a book. I completely restarted on Shutterfly and this time I am being very selective with my photos and only installing the ones I really want. I have done 16 pages so far and I have not even made it to the ceremony yet. Shutterfly lets you do 100 pages so I might have to delete some if I don't have enough room at the end but at least I have made a dent in it.

We hope to head down to Disney in Oct/Nov for our one year anniversayr and I definately want to have a book to show Misty. Thanks for the inspiration.

I've been playing with blurb and shutterfly and I do prefer blurb because you can customize a lot more. I must say though that the software is a beast. I have a macbook pro with a 2.4GHz processor and 2GB of RAM and the program can be very sluggish. I know my computer isn't top of line, but it isn't garbage...I definitely can't do anything else while I am using the blurb software.

I got the biggest one - 11x13 - because when it comes to pictures, my motto is "the bigger the better"!

I am considering using blurb for 3 separate books: enagagement photos, wedding photos, disneymoon photos. My question is, can I do pages of photos and then some text? I have seen very little text in these books and I would like to add captions to some of my photos. I searched the website but wasn't able to find the answer.

Yes - Blurb has a bazillion different page templates, and some of them include text boxes. Here is an example from our engagement photo book:
