Our Biggest Celebration Surpise Trip Ever!!! Update 8/21

You're quite the sneaky/tricky Mom! My husband's surprise trip to California was just ruined this week by my father-in-law. UGH. Glad your's went better than mine. I love surprising the family, it's so much fun. Enjoy the next 12 days!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister was the one who almost gave it up for me back in February, on purpose. She was going to give the twins Disney Gift Cards for their birthdays "to be mean" as she says. Was your husband surprised at least?

My daughter is really going to be messed up when we get there, she is a planner like her mom. It took her all weekend to get in the disney frame of mind since she thought she was going to the beach. Now she has every meal planned at POP and we won't be staying there. Nick was excited because he was going to have his own bed, not a couch bed, but he will be on the day bed when we get there. They are really confused LOL

I am waiting on my doctor to call me back, my sugar has been dropping. She put me on a new med before my surgery for my sugar to keep it down so I could heal faster and twice now it has dropped, almost went to the hospital yesterday, took a huge glass of OJ, and a kit kat before it went back to normal. Don't want it doing this while we are on vacation.

I hope you can get your sugars under control soon! That would not be "fun" to deal with during your WDW trip. Love it that your daughter is planning all her meals for POP already. By the way, I love the parmesan chicken there. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. We love POP too. I'm thinking now we'll do a split stay next summer, a few nights at Pop (I'm cheap) and a few nights at BC (splurge for us). I love Stormalong Bay. It will be fun for all of you to be at BC. I can't wait until you get back so you can tell us about how the surprise went and how everyone enjoyed it. It will be so much FUNNNNNNNN. Have a drink for me at Hurricane Hannah's. I'm dreaming of sitting around the pool next summer with a drink in my hand!!! First things first though, get yourself healthy so you can enjoy the trip!!!!!! By the way, my husband was surprised. He didn't think he knew what the heck his dad was talking about. But he's not happy about going on vacation without me. He does nothing without the planner/wife. He will survive though!!!!!!!!!

When are you planning on going next year? Maybe we will run into each other if we are there the same time.

I'm on the fence about that. I think it'll probably be mid June. School gets out (hopefully) June 8. I have to factor in snow/fog days so not for sure until the following Thursday would we leave. I'd like to plan a weekend at a beach relaxing first and then a week at Disney (thinking about Vero Beach and renting points). It was going to be a few days at Universal also but I think that will be out of the budget after a few day stay at the BC (which is more important to me). Then, I started thinking about 4th of July. It would be so much fun to see the fireworks for the 4th. But do we want to battle crowds like that???? Plus the heat!!!!! There's also 4-H that we have to worry about here. DS is in 4-H and fair is this week so projects would have to be done the week prior. We were working on them just a week ago. So we're back to mid June I suppose. I'm guessing your summer trip must be late July/early August.

Are you feeling any better yet or have any suggestions from Dr.?

Yes, August 5-10, 1 day at Epcot and 1 day at Universal is what I am paying for, if they want to do more days, they can pay for it. Yes, doctor cut my meds down, so we will see in a few days if that helps.

I packed this week for a trip but it wasn't for Disney! We're in Little Rock, Arkansas, visiting our oldest son who is interning with a AA baseball team. I'm so happy your trip to Disney is ALMOST here!!!!!!! I'm not sure how we'll handle the June temperatures after our week here. ITS HOT!!!!!! I guess this is conditioning ourselves for next year. HAVE FUN this week.

OMG am I ready! This week at work is going to be a long one. I have almost everything packed and surprisingly the kids haven't asked very many questions.

We have a weekend planned the 19th of August to plan next years trip!
