"OUR BIG, FAT DISNEY VACATION!" Ch.26 NEW! 2/11 pg. 121 "And they lived happily ever&

Umama, I will be praying for Norah. We have prayer with some of our students in the morning. Staph infections can be difficult to get rid of. We will pray for a speedy recovery and wise doctors.

Hey, when did you get tags? Are those new? :teeth:

Thank You! I just love you guys!!!! :grouphug:

Her Pediatrician is really good with Norah. She's never been sick before other than a few colds. Knock on wood!

Getting the heavy-duty antibiotics swallowed is an extreme sport!

It IS really gross even with the flavorings added. 9 more days/ 2x per day, yikes!

I loaded on the Neosporin all over her lips and just put her to bed. We had snuggled for a while after her bed time story read to her by her 8 yr. old brother, Dallen. Then the boys went to bed leaving just Norah and me alone to watch a new tv show called "Help me help you" It's pretty good! The only good thing about Norah being sick is she cuddles ONLY when she's sick, I'm sad to say. I'll take what I can get!

On a FUN note...Do you like my new tags??? Twinkie pointed them out to me on the riddle thread this morning. I was very happy to be tagged! Feels special!

It is so scary when your kids get "real" sick. We take antibiotics and medicines for granted. Staph can be scary. I'll be praying for your sweet Norah. Good luck. :)

Sending good vibes :goodvibes for a speedy recovery for little Miss Norah :flower:

She sounds just like my DS who turned 2 on the 19th - only has time to snuggle when he's not feeling well, otherwise there's just not enough time in a toddler's day!

Still lovin' this TR - subscribed long ago and still enjoying every installment. Keep up the good work :thumbsup2

Ack about Norah, that's no fun. Meds can be challenging, my oldest is a special needs kids so he has daily meds, and when it comes time for the younger to take some, he is always more than willing because he sees big brother do it. On the other hand when the oldest has to take a yucky one occaisonally and won't take it and spits it out and gags and throws up we just put it in his feeding tube :teeth:

I noticed your new tags earlier, very fun! When I get up a bazillion posts then maybe I will be tagged too.

And I like the individual comments, makes me feel all warm and special

Ohhhh I hope I catch you!!!
See, Norah got Impetigo which is an antibiotic resistant STAPH infection which may or may not have been contracted from the paint a cookie at the Concourse Steak House....The paintbrush looked "frayed" but I used it on Norah like lipgloss...That's when the rash started. Plus I had only just wiped her with a napkin and plopped the binky back in...to fester! Her lips had been chapped and she touches every available surface.

Long story short, It got worse then better then WAY worse...all crusty and oozy. Took her to the Pediatrician and it's staph! She's on heavy duty antibiotics and SHE NEEDS PRAYERS!!!!!!

Please!!! Pray for my honery baby! It's very sore and very raw! I put neosporin ointment on her lips several times a day.

(sigh!)

So sorry to hear about your daughter! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

It must be bad on the lips, cause you have to keep the area dry!
YOU MUST WASH EVERYTHING THE KID COMES IN CONTACT WITH! :grouphug:

I had Impetigo once from a public phone....IT'S PAINFUL!
In fact the story is a "sidenote" in a upcoming TR edition.

Lotsa of prayers coming Norahs way!

Good Morning Umama
I am so sad to hear your baby girl is sick! Poor Norah and Poor you too! I will be praying for her and you. Let us know how she is doing...if the antobiotic is working. I know that stap infections can be pretty tough sometimes.

Faith, prayers and pixie dust coming your way. pixiedust:

Keep us posted
Love ya!
Cherokeemamma

:grouphug: & :love2: for Miss Norah.

One more thing...give her yogurt to eat. You can hopefully prevent other problems that can occur from the antibiotic! You ladies know what I mean. :sad2:
Yes, it can happen with little kids too! MY DD was on a prevenitive dose of antibiotic for a little over 2 years (3 mo - 2.5 y.o.) for a congenital kidney problem. I know from that experience. :scared:

OH NO! Little girls too?! That's just WRONG!!!! Don't Worry UtahMama, I'm bringing the yogart with me too! :drive:

Poor miss Norah! At least she may hold the record for the only kid to ever get sick from a cookie paintbrush! (I mean, everyone gets colds! At least this one has a good story!)

I think that the Jungle Cruise could be vastly improved if they handed out veggies to throw at the skipper if they're not funny. "You WILL learn to be funny, or PAY THE PRICE!"

((Norah)) hugs to your DD!

Those antibiotics are horrible! My DD has a heart murmer and I had to pour them into her before each dentist visit. She never minded the dentist; just the medicine before! Thank goodness she can now swallow pills.

Sorry to hear Norah is still not feeling too great! She's in my prayers! I know what you mean about the cuddling thing - my oldest was exactly like that! You never want them to be sick but when DD was sick, I cherished the rare time to cuddle with her.

Lotso hugs to Norah :grouphug: Hope she feels well soon!

Poor baby! Sending lots of good wishes your way for Norah and Dr. Mommy, too :goodvibes Hang in there!

Probably, I dont want to hurt his feelings, though. I hope you DO get Pooh! I also really hope he's not a DISpeep!

I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings. I'm going to keep my eyes out for him. I wonder if people would think it's weird that I insisted I get on his boat and no other. :)

Hope Norah feels better and that you remain sane while she's sick!

How is Nora feeling and looking today. Hopefully after only a few doses she will rally quickly. My youngest DS just got over beinf sick. Temp 104.2 and all he did was cuddle. He normally does not like to be held unless he is tired and that is rare. So I understand taking all the cuddle moments you can get.

I hope Norah Feels better too! You ladies type so much in here I love it I havent been in a face paced board in awhile.

Utahmama how well did all your photopass pictures come. I cant believe I only have a week left for them to be on the site. It was nice meeting your family down there.
