They did, indeed. They YANKED itlmao:
) off the shelves in favor of a more family friendly Castle cover quite some time ago. I still, proudly, have my old Littie Mermaid copy, however
I remember loaning it to a boyfriend I had back in the early '90s so he could let his son watch the movie, and I pointed out the, ahem...turret...and even he - who was a seasoned gentleman who had seen and done it all - was a little surprised.
lol!
somewhat OT, have you ever seen the 'turret' come out at the wedding scene?
LOL!!![]()

II have heard that there are all kinds of little subliminal (and even risque), blink-and-you-miss-them things inserted into the early Pixar movies, but again, I have never been quick enough on the trigger to catch them! Darn!
Like Mia and Tia (Lightning's biggest fans) flashing their headlights?![]()

The first time my husband and I saw this movie, I turned to him and said,"did they flash their 'headlights'????" and we were amazed that they got away with that!
I look at it this way...a kid isn't going to understand that unless told. That sort of stuff flies right over the heads of kids, but it amuses many adults. I don't consider Pixar movies to be kid's movies, I consider them to be everyone movies, so I'm glad that they have included older humor like that (though thinking of Tom Leykus while watching the movie doesn't always make me happy, LOL).
I was 5 when I started watching Saturday Night Live (when it debuted, b/c I was a nightowl and the living room was right off my bedroom), and while I can't tell you exactly what I thought the jokes were then, I know that I had a VERY different interpretation of the jokes than my mom did! We would both laugh, but for extremely different reasons. She chose to not tell me that my interpretation was wrong (thank goodness), and over time I figured it out.
That said, I don't know what sorts of things Sherry is talking about in Toy Story etc! I was naive at 5 and I remain so today.![]()
This is very true...until one day watching Cars with my 5 year old nephew said, "Does that means t**s?"![]()

Molly I had a similar experience. I'm much older than you and when I was little my grandfather had a Nipsey Russell album that had "stories" on them--and I used to listen to it and laugh and laugh--thinking it was funny. Only later (much later) did I realize that there was a definite "double entendre" in the stories--like one was about an old spinster woman who had put her cherry in a jar on the shelf. I thought it was hysterical--of course, had no idea what it REALLY meant!
I think we should be happy that some people hate Disney, imagine how crowded it would be if everyone loved it!![]()
