~Our August Honeymoon..a whole new World for 2 WDW Veterans~ DONE

Okay, so I don't go into Innoventions too often, but what is it that your DH is doing in that pic?

Omgosh, had to laugh at the soap! My mom did TONS of Christmas shopping while at the world, and she ended up buying my DH and my brother each a bar of soap from Canada as stocking stuffers.. One beaver butt and one bear breath I believe. :rotfl:

Oooh chocolate whiskey cake? Has that always been offered there?! That sounds amazing!

:rotfl: You're so right about the creepy smiling kid! He loves his job I guess! :lmao:

I love hopping on the monorail first thing in the morning! :thumbsup2 It's always a fun way to start the day. Although, we've never done the Epcot loop... that's going to have to change next month!

Mmmm, lunch at Le Cellier! Your food sounds delicious!

Hahaha, Beaver Butt soap. Jake is going to have to pick some of that up. He'd love telling people the name.

Ahh World Showcase… so beautiful. I love your idea to put Walt's quote in the garage - my husband is a tinkerer too (and works on cars for a living). I don't think I've ever seen that Maelstrom sign say anything but 5minutes… I feel sad for it. I think that it is a cute ride.

DH has been rebuilding his Dad's car for awhile now. He's definitely into cars!

I admit, I have seen Maelstrom with a 10 minute wait. I know! Shocking!

One of the prettiest areas in World Showcase! ::yes::

Your Le Cellier meal sounds so good - I am wanting steak now. ;)

I think a steak sounds good too!

those soap names crack me up, my son would love that stuff.
:rotfl:

wonder why your camera was doing that, i noticed other pics that were a little brigther that you have shown...maybe you can tell DH that you need a new one for your future trip reports.:thumbsup2 good excuse.::yes::

I have to take my Little Guy there to get some of those soaps!

I think asking for a camera is a good idea! Thanks!

That would be a good thing to get a new camera! Maybe I can convince my hubby to get me a new DSLR but I doubt that will happen since there is nothing wrong with mine. I just want a new one. lol. :)

I agree, a new camera would be nice.

Just read the WHOLE thing! Can't believe you didn't say hi!! We could've totally had so much fun together drinking in WS!!

And I'm pretty sure we were also right near Norway when that storm rolled in. I have a very similar picture of the sky over the lagoon. I remember how the wind just started whipping like crazy and everyone went running for cover! Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, we were in China. So funny!

Oh and we totally bought Beaver Butt soap!

I know, we would've! But I didn't know if you would recognize me!

That storm was crazy!

Those pictures of the waterfall in Canada are so stunning. Very nice! I also love all the pictures you took from the monorail. Nice!

Yeah for taking that flash picture. I know people like to flame for that, but why else would it be there? I tried to take that picture in October, but my camera wanted nothing to do with it. Next time I'll have to force the flash.

Those soaps in canada crack me up! :rotfl:

Thank you! I tried to take some good pictures for this TR!

Ooh, the dress you wore to 'Ohana is just perfect! I love that you had to change clothes. I feel like I am constantly changing outfits - partly because it's so hot outside and we have to break for the pool or something.

That kid cutting the fish on the Norway mural is a bit creepy looking. Like he's up to something.

What do you mean you are already up to the end of your trip? Only one day left? I feel like it's only just begun! Crazy.

I can't wait to see the new Fantasyland one day! I am dying to eat at Be Our Guest!

I agree, it's nice to change after sweating all day!

I know I'll cry walking into BOG.

:rotfl: You're so right about the creepy smiling kid! He loves his job I guess! :lmao:

He is lifting this lever that pulls back this sledgehammer that hits the screen of a tv I believe. The number at the top shows how many times it has been hit and not broken.

Those soaps are a riot!

The cake was so good! I can't remember whether or not it has always been there. It had been 2 years since we ate there!

Subscribing a bit late! :goodvibes

It's never too late! Welcome!

I love hopping on the monorail first thing in the morning! :thumbsup2 It's always a fun way to start the day. Although, we've never done the Epcot loop... that's going to have to change next month!

Lauren! It's closer to February! You have to ride the monorail to
Epcot! It's fun!

Great update! I hate when meals are rushed, but I'm glad it was a nice lunch!

Welcome to the summer at WDW! I swear, everytime we'd get into a groove in years past, the deluge would begin!

Ohhh, I always am sad on the day before the last full day at Disney!

Okay, now that you mention the smiling fish-cutting kid...YES! He does creep me out! :rotfl: I'll have to look for him in a few weeks!

Joining in! Congratulations on your wedding! your trip sounds like it is off to a great start!

Day 5 – August 17, 2012 Continued

We left off geared up in our ponchos from Mexico over to The Land at Epcot! We were laughing the whole way because it was like we were the only ones in the park. We decided that people were probably looking out at us saying “Look at those crazy people out there!” Oh well. We lived to tell the story!

We decided to ride LWTL first. Even though it is not very popular, we always enjoy it. So bonus for us—it’s always a walk on!

Honeymoon554_zps32373c7a.jpg

We saw a few groups doing the Behind the Seeds tour!

Honeymoon555_zps1568468d.jpg

Honeymoon557_zps728aa197.jpg

DH and I decided to ask about it once we got off. It is something we are planning on doing on a future trip! Have any of you been on the tour?

It seemed to be our lucky day because someone was actually working in the lab too!

Honeymoon558_zpsafde3eb9.jpg

After we got off the ride, we stopped and talked to the CM at the little gift shop area by Soarin’. We asked her about the tour and she gave us a little brochure about it. We are excited!

It was time to use our fast passes for Soarin’! There was even a little bit of a line for us, so we were able to do some of the interactive screens. Once we turned the corner, I had to take this picture and send to Kristen:

It was a fun ride as usual. I think my favorite part is going over the beach and ocean. And while it is neat going over Disneyland, I wish that we went over WDW instead.

DH really wanted to see the LMA Stunt Show, and I wanted to see it because Lightning McQueen was added to the show! We decided to ride the boat over, so we headed that way to the boat dock.

We still need to eat here sometime!

Honeymoon560_zps5ab29f43.jpg

The boat was already at the dock! Perfect timing!

Honeymoon561_zps9c296ab6.jpg

It was such a relaxing ride. As some of you may know, we made stops at the Boardwalk, the Yacht & Beach Club, and the Swan & Dolphin. We really want to stay at the Beach Club sometime!

Honeymoon563_zps0e68451a.jpg

Of course, the time we decide to take a picture of us is when someone sits down in the background!

Honeymoon564_zpsa438befd.jpg

Our driver was awesome. He was so nice and talking to everyone. We could tell that he was definitely loving his job. I mean, who wouldn’t love working at WDW?!

While we were on the boat, we talked and decided to call and try and get a dinner ADR at the Hollywood Brown Derby since we did not have anything planned for the night. DH was able to get us in at 7:45! Score! Making an ADR on the day of is something we have never done!

The LMA Stunt Show started at 4:30, so we were going to make it just in time.

Honeymoon572_zpsefb068f2.jpg

DH loves Indiana Jones so much! We did not make it to a show this trip. But, when we do, I can’t help but quote scenes from Full House. Ha!

Honeymoon573_zps9d1459b9.jpg

Made it!

Honeymoon574_zps09885959.jpg

We went up in the stands so we could sit underneath a fan. It was the perfect view of everything.

Then, something happened that should not have! The black car bumped into the red car and broke down! They had to delay the show until they could get everything running again!

Then, they picked out a girl to “drive” one of the cars.

Once the show was over, we headed to one of my favorite attractions at DHS:

We skipped the movie because I’ve seen it about 10 times. I know how it ends, but I cry every time!

Another thing we love about DHS is actually not really an attraction; it is more of a show. We love watching and listening to Mulch, Sweat, Shears! On our engagement trip, we listened to them perform more than once. We saw that they were performing in the Streets of America area, so we headed there.

I had to take a picture of one of our favorite shows: Once Upon a Time!

Honeymoon612_zps215ca36d.jpg

Once in Streets of America, I made DH take my picture by this window display I love.

Honeymoon613_zps111ab18c.jpg

DH loves Chevy!

Honeymoon614_zps99db3368.jpg

Soon, we could hear the band coming! We followed them down the street to where they stopped. A crowd formed and they performed quite a few songs. The lead singer reminds us of Jack Black! He picked a girl out to go up and play an instrument with them. She did awesome!

We left while they were still singing. We wanted to see what the line was to draw a character, but it was way too long for us! We might have ended up missing our ADR.

Honeymoon619_zpsb6da8454.jpg

With a little time left, we went over to the Star Tours gift shop so we could get Little Guy some Star Wars legos. He loved them!

By the time we got out of there, it was close to 7:45. We saw on the times board that there were still FP’s available for ToT, so DH ran down and got us some. The return time was for 8:10 – 9:10, so that would be the last thing we did before heading back to the Poly. DH took a couple pictures when he went to ToT.

Honeymoon620_zps34e7fb2a.jpg

Honeymoon621_zps094f33ab.jpg

I was so excited to be eating at the Brown Derby again. We ate there on our engagement trip and loved it. We were even seated at the table right next to the table we sat at!

Honeymoon623_zpsca814f17.jpg

Honeymoon624_zps7d30a1a1.jpg

Honeymoon625_zps3b1c004b.jpg

We both ordered a Bloody Mary. For DH’s appetizer, he ordered the Cobb Salad. For his main course, he had the Bison. Both were so good! For my appetizer, I ordered the Crab Cake Spring Roll. For my main course, I had the Salmon. For dessert, we both had the Banana Foster of course! The Hollywood Brown Derby did not disappoint!

We headed out of the restaurant and back to ToT. We were joking about how great our meal was and how we hoped that it would stay down! Of course, we made it out fine!

We were so tired by this point, so we decided to call it a night and head back to the Poly. And look what was waiting for us when we got back to the room!:

Up next: Last full day blues

Ohhh, I always am sad on the day before the last full day at Disney!

Okay, now that you mention the smiling fish-cutting kid...YES! He does creep me out! :rotfl: I'll have to look for him in a few weeks!

I hope you'll be doing a TR!!

I am caught up and agree about the creepy Norwegian kid. :rotfl:

Nice EPCOT day and DHs daY.

Hurray for a last minute ADR. I have been able to score a last minute ADR or two lately.

Lots of good Hollywood Studios pictures. It is good to be reminded that we have so much fun and many good friendships because one man pursued his dream and didn't just put it on the back burner. :)

I love LWTL! I've never done that tour though - it sounds really interesting!

LMA - meh. I've seen it, that is about all that I need lol I haven't seen it since they added Lightning McQueen though.

Last full day already?! So sad :(

Living with the Land is so nice and relaxing and informative. Wish my DS didn't have his accident so we could have gotten on it.

I had no idea that Lightening McQueen was in it! How cool is that! I still haven't been able to see this show yet. There's never anytime.

Ugggh, I lOVE the brown derby! :cloud9: Delicious food and love the quiet atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of the DHS crowds.

Ahhh I just wrote about the creepy Norweigian fish gutting kid in my TR!
He is SO CREEPY!!!

I can't believe the car broke down in the stunt show! I've never heard of that happening! Not much of a stunt if you ask me...:rotfl:

Ooh I love mulch sweat and shears! They are so funny!
I can totally see the Jack Black resemblance.

Mmmmm Brown Derby :goodvibes

Oh no, the dreaded last day is coming up. Tears. I hate that feeling.

I heard that they were getting rid of LMA? I thought the addition of Lightening was cute.DD loved that.

Fun update as usual.
