After committing to buy our resale BWV unit in the 2nd week of December, DVC finally processed my new membership information today.

The resale contract had banked points that must be used this year. Our family summer schedule permitted only 1 viable travel week to Orlando (in the first week of June), so I have been anxiously waiting for the sale to complete, knowing that availability to our new resort would be dwindling away.

Today, was the first day I was able to contact member services. The helpful agent informed me that our 2 bedroom request for that week was available -- but that I was taking the last available booking for several of those nights. Talk about a close call! I've got to believe that my family leads a truly charmed life. God has been kind to us. :) DVC -- here we come: On May 30th.

Thank you to everyone here on these boards for all of your help and valuable information. This board is truly an asset to prospective and current DVC members.

So did you book at BWV too, or just buy the points there?

MS rep indicated it was the last 2 bedroom BWV unit for some days in that week. Boardwalk and Beach Club will likely be our first choice resorts at Disney World. (I asked and Beach Club was not available for our dates.) We love the ability to walk to the parks. In addition, with Grandma and Grandpa living in So. California, our family gets the opportunity to go to Disneyland from time-to-time. We prefer Disneyland over the Magic Kingdom park. It's just our taste as we prefer the more intimate feel and what we believe to be the superior key attractions like Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Small World, Space Mountain. Fantasyland is also much more ornate with more rides at Disneyland. (I've probably opened a can of worms with that assessment.)

Epcot and MGM are mostly unique to Disney World and we enjoyed both parks on our only prior visit last year. The dining options at Epcot are fantastic!

Congratulations and welcome home!

We will be at OKW May 30.:D
